This was my second time coming here and I will not be going back. I got dip powder, and it turned out very clumpy. I also have different length and shape on each finger. It just overall does not look good. It's been about two weeks and i've already lost 2 nails, even though on their website it says dip can last 5 weeks. I would not suggest coming here. read more

I was looking forward to spending quality time with my mom and sister getting our nails done, and we scheduled an appointment for all three of us at noon. Unfortunately, 45 minutes after our appointment time, only one of us had been started while my sister and I were still waiting. At 12:30, I asked when we would be seated since we had other plans, and I was told "about five more minutes." Fifteen minutes later, we were still waiting, so we decided to leave. Instead of being upfront about the delay, the staff repeatedly asked us to wait "just a little longer," which was frustrating and showed a lack of respect for our time. This wasn't a simple mistake, it was a preventable scheduling and communication issue. Had they been honest about the wait from the beginning, the experience would have been very different. Offering a 10% off voucher for a future visit wasn't an adequate resolution, and unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

I have been looking for a good nail salon in Lake Mary/Sanford for a while and finally found a place I liked. I came across Nail Lounge by K after going to Nothing Bundt Cakes next door. I had a great experience here. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and I was welcomed right away. I initially wanted a gel manicure but decided on an ombre French manicure. I like that I had time to pick the color I wanted. In past experiences in other places, they rushed you to the seat and began to work on your nails when you still needed to pick a color. This was my first time coming here and I'm so happy I did! The young lady at the front desk was kind and welcoming, upon walking in. I had a nail tech named Jay who was incredibly attentive. He didn't service me as if he was in a rush or didn't care. He took his time and showed care and effort. He made the experience a pleasant one, which I haven't experienced in a very long time at nail salons. I will certainly go back to him, specifically. The prices here are way more reasonable than the place I've been previously. I got a French on both toes and hands. Gel French and Deluxe pedicure, and French dip on nails and paid a reasonable price. That made me happy! I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I have no idea how this place is rated almost 5 stars on Google. I cannot even comment on the quality of nail service as I didn't complete the gelx set I went in for. I've NEVER ever left in the middle of a service being provided anywhere but I left this nail salon with half finished nails (and still paid $50 because I literally just wanted to get out of there). The guy doing my nails was fine, I actually felt bad and me leaving shouldn't be seen as a reflection of him. It was how dirty and unprofessional this place was which is crazy again considering the location; the appearance online, and the reviews. If you're looking for a professional, upscale nail salon that reflects the pricing - this wasn't it. I must have come at a very bad time (middle of the day Tuesday). Regardless, it was dirty literally every where I looked like unclean stations and just dusty and nasty looking and it smelled like food heavily throughout the whole service, which people are entitled to lunch don't get me wrong but it smelled SO strong. The real thing that sent me over the edge and what I consider to be totally unprofessional and unacceptable was the school age kid that I assume was an employees kid who was running around and then hacking coughing gagging on verge of vomiting because he was upset about something. I have no problem with a kid being there. The issue was he was clearly either legit sick or upset to the point of being sick, none of the staff did anything to acknowledge or redirect the situation and he was out around the customers and literally running around and in customer areas. I sat there patiently waiting for someone to address this kid gagging and carrying on and then was forced to continue to listen to him gag or vomit in the bathroom for several minutes after he walked past customers (again still unassisted or acknowledged by staff) before deciding I couldn't ignore it anymore. I paid $50 for an incomplete service because I simply had to get the hell out there. read more

I like this place, but I can see why some people would not. Read til the end to see why you might not. I have been three times now. They have a TON of colors. They even have a ton of gel with regular matching paint- which suits me. My schedule is erratic; I always find myself calling like hey can I come right now? And they seem to fit me in. When this place gets busier, I can see that might be an issue. The pedi chairs are deep which is great for tall people. For short people, you probably can't touch the back of the chair and get the massage because your feet will be too far to touch the footstool. They have small pillows for lumbar support for the short folks. The full back massage was super needed today. I ran it twice during my pedi. The classic pedi is $23. It doesn't include much. Basically it's a soak, cuticle trim, callus scrub, lotion massage for two minutes and a hot towel. No sugar/salt scrub, no hot stones, no paraffin wax. The next one up isn't much better, but you can get your choice of polish, including gel. The mani is interesting. I've had gel for awhile. Some people will soak your nails and wrap in foil and make you wear those plastic gloves during your pedi, which makes it impossible to use your phone and they don't have anything on TV other than a still image of a fireplace or a cup of coffee. Their music is also like classical, few to zero lyrics and it's on repeat. So it's calming but it's not entertaining; No food channel, no travel channel, no home improvement channel. Back to the mani- to remove the gel, if they don't soak and wrap, they just use their dremel and buzz everything off. It's certainly fast. Not sure how nice it is on your nails. The mani is quick. They do a little lotion and a hand massage and then you're done. They don't do the shoulder neck and back massage that a lot of places do. So you can get in and out of there in about an hour give or take 10 min for a classic pedi ($23) and gel mani ($27 + $17 for gel) = $67 which is great that it doesn't take up your whole day but it's also a little expensive for how little you get. Of course you can buy the more expensive services and get all the extras if you want them. They have an extensive menu to include eyebrows and waxing etc. FYI- some technicians are "cleaner" than others. While they always use a fresh set for every pedi, as they advertise, I've found some of the nail stations to be littered with other peoples finger nail clippings and they just flip the towel over. It isn't even a fresh towel. Kinda gross, but also you can just wash your hands and arms after and not look at those clippings. Lol. But seriously, they should wipe their station down between customers. So those are my thoughts. I like this place cuz they can get me in without an appointment typically, they work fast and oh, they speak English- so you shouldn't have any issue communicating what you want and how you're doing. They have offered me a drink in the past, I have always declined. I'm not sure what they actually have. Parking lot out front, never too full. Call for an appointment or call before you go, because their hours don't always match up with them actually being open. Could be a Covid thing. read more

This was my go to place for years. My nail tech was Ann, who was fabulous! She had the best personality and always made my experience so much fun. Left in stitches. With that said, it's been a minute, since I got my nails done. I decided to treat my wedding party (mom, my two daughters, and myself) last weekend. Sadly, Ann no longer works there. Total bill for all of us came to almost $250 including 18% tip. The very next day one of my Gel-X tip already popped off. Called to let them know if they can get me in quickly before we left for our trip. I got there, and the nail tech informed me that fixing my nail was free, but owed $18 because they mistakenly charged me wrong. Rather than a gel pedicure they only charged me for a regular pedicure. I was shocked considering that is their mistake. Makes me wonder what they would of done had I not gone back to get my nail fixed. Within 5 days of having the Gel-X set on, 8 popped off. Called them again to let them know. This time, owner, Kevin decided to schedule me with him. When I got there, he asked if I was the one who they charged $18 to? He said he was going to refund me the money, since it was their mistake. My immediate thought was WOW! That's really nice of him to not only acknowledge their mistake but also to refund me. Maybe they won't lose me as a customer after all. Well, after he fixed my nails, did he refund me like he said he would? NOPE. I wish he never even offered or mentioned it to begin with. Don't say you're going to do something and not follow through with it. Especially as the owner of a business to a loyal customer. Needless to say, they've loss my business. read more

Before reading this review please look at all photo reviews posted by me and come up with your own conclusion and then come back to read. As you can tell by my previous reviews, Peter is the only one who has been consistent with his work. I've given this nail spot the benefit of the doubt but today will be my last time I ever getting my nails done here. Their probably happy about this because I was the only one calling them out on their bs. Majority of nail techs here can not do nail art, in the year 2022 a nail spot should have at least 2 nail techs that can do basically any design and at least 2 that can do basic nail art (ex: basic flowers, adding gems, and French nails). This place claims to offer nail art but as you can see in the pics I've posted in this review as well as other reviews, they do a mediocre and inconsistent job at their nail art techniques resulting in a shitty final result. I'm also pretty sure their IG post are stolen pics from other nail techs (not all of them but a lot of them) I've brought this up to the owner multiple times and he chooses to ignore the problem. If I were him and heard about these issues I would 1. accommodate the customer (fix the issue, offer discount/free service, etc.) and 2. I would be encouraging all nail techs to advance their knowledge and technique to better their services. Kevin takes constructive criticism and receives it as negative criticism for some reason (might be ego). Anytime I told him these issues he gets upset and starts giving me attitude. Him and other employees talk shit about customers in Vietnamese the only reason I know this for a fact is because I used the Apple translate app while they were talking... Guys this is the owner I'm talking about not just some employee, THE OWNER!! I understand it can be hard to receive criticism but when you're a business owner those critiques can be taken and improved on. Anyways this time I wanted a French set, Peter did my base (natural pink acrylic) he always kills it, I truly think he is the only good nail tech in that facility, unfortunately he also doesn't do nail designs which I respect because he sticks to what he's really good at and doesn't waste peoples time; if he worked on his nail art skills he would be a double threat in that nail shop... that being said Peter told me to go to Lena's desk to do my French. Long story the French nails came out super shaky and ugly I asked her to "clean it up" as in straighten the lines out and her response to me was don't worry when I put the top coat it will smoothen it out... which I knew was BS. French nails are one of the most classic/basic nail "designs"... She couldn't even do that. I hope someone on their team reads this and improves all around. read more

My mom and I have been going here for years now. Three times in a row i came on time to my appointment and I've had to wait over 30 minutes. I would have more patience if it was just one or two times but it has become a trend with not just myself but also my mom. They arranged a new appointment for me this morning because i had to leave yesterday after waiting for Kevin for over 20 minutes , and when I got there at my scheduled time again no one was there. I've only been here 3 times due to moving to this end of town and trying to find one closer than my normal Oviedo shop. After this last time I won't be returning. I spend all week leading and directing employees at work. I don't want to spend my free time on the weekends telling a nail tech how to do my nails and then having them get an attitude when they don't do a good job. How does a dip service not come with cleaning the dip powder off the corners and cleaning up/clipping your cuticles if needed? My money and time is not respected here. I should have read the reviews before I wasted my time. And use your translate app if you have an Apple device. They speak badly about their customers when you hear them laughing and talking loud the entire time you're in there. SMH. Do better. read more

I went here today because my usual nail salon was closed. I was so happy with the service I got. I have had so many issues in the past with really painful removal of my acrylic nails, rough and painful drilling and cutting my fingers even. My hands would be left sore the whole next day. The lady helping me today was so gentle and professional. She took her time and nothing she did hurt. She wasn't pushy about what I should get done but offered very helpful opinions from a professional. She did a great job with the shaping and I love the color. This is dip powder on my real nails. For a basic gel manicure, it's not bad. It was about $35 for a gel manicure with a simple design. The design was nothing like the picture I showed the tech. If she couldn't do it properly she should have either told me or asked someone to step in to help. After after I left, I noticed missed spots on the side of some nails and some areas of rough polish. I gave them 3 stars only because they were clean and less expensive than average for the area. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars... I got a gel manicure and I don't know what the tech did but he made it so thick, uneven and lumpy. It looked like I had hills on my flat nails. It looked awful. I asked him to take them off then and redo them and he said no. Then I just asked him to remove it all together and he said he would have to charge me. That is RIDICULOUS. Avoid this place at all costs and go somewhere where they care about customers and have customer service. read more
