I decided to go for a manicure while on a trip to Florida, and chose the Velvet Nail Bar based on its proximity to our hotel. I called on a Wednesday afternoon to get an appointment for Thursday, and they were able to fit me in. When we got there we signed in and were seated right away. I picked out my gel color, and they got to work on my nails. The staff members were friendly, and the space was inviting. The gentleman doing my manicure did such a good job! After painting each coat, he really looked over my nails and ensured they looked good from every angle. He also checked in multiple times to make sure I was liking the shape and color of my nails. Since I'm not local I'm not sure if I'll visit again, but I would recommend to anyone in the area! read more

My first visit to this nail spa. I specifically asked more than once for a tech who could provide a good foot massage with my pedicure. Didn't get that at all. The tech seemed rushed and barely massaged my feet. There were several techs there, many with spare time, who were gathered around the pedi chairs, talking and laughing so loudly that I had a hard time relaxing and listening to my audio book. I decided to go in for a soak off and new set. I was able to get in with Monica. It was an overall great experience. She was patient, very sweet, professional and an overall pleasure. Very disappointed with my pedicure today. I paid for an hour Relax and Unwind service and the nail tech started 5 minutes late and finished 15 minutes early. My nail technician's box said Tony. I've been coming here for almost a year now and this is my go-to location for a full set using dip/color powder and a gel pedicure. They have so many colors available and if you go in for both hands and feet, they do a great job color matching if you want that. I've gotten designs on my nails and some more unique styles, and they've been able to deliver on anything I've given them. I like to start with I have been to this nail salon plenty of times. I have never had an issue with service or quality or really anything except today. I am giving one star due to deceptive practice. I was charged $128 for 2 regular fills. I questioned why and the gentleman checking me out continued to say he was charging a full set because of a color change..... I told him I never paid more than $45 for a fill and he could even check his records. To make this short he couldn't give me a clear explanation on the price. Just continued to say full set.... For those that get their nails done and are wondering I didn't do any special designs It didn't include a cut down or special shape like coffin or gems this was as basic as they come fill for me and my daughter. read more

First time at this Salon and did not appreciate the service from one young man that did my pedicure. Wish I got his name but I did not register how condescing he was until I left. But he serviced me at the first chair on the left (I believe his name started with an M). He first asks me if I would like my nails filed short and I say yes. He then looks at my nails and go "I mean I could try but they are already so short" then proceeds to laugh while looking at my nails. He then proceeds to do my French polish and the lines were crooked. I vocalized that I would prefer the lines more curved and he blames it on the fact that my toes are soo short that he couldn't make them look like the rest of my toes?? Then I noticed another toe that didn't look the best, he proceeds to say "it's because you have no nail hahaha but I can try to file it down to make it better" as soon as he files it down it looks much better. My toe nails are short but I have never been to a salon where it was made to be an issue. This young man just simply didn't know what he was doing and wanted to use it as excuse to be rude and condescending. read more
