Please do not come here and waste your money on their services. I came here on a Thursday and it was not too busy but i still have to wait about 10mins. So i was sitting at the front while waiting and i have noticed too many things about the salon. First off the ceiling vent were very dirty and full of dust. Secondly the chairs that the employees use to sit on is very old and torn. Then finally it was my turn for the pedicure and they rush through my pedicure, was done in less then 20mins. Very disappointed cause it was my first time visiting this salon. And it will be my first and last. I had called in advance and the lady mentioned that it should not be longer than a 10-minute wait. I get in there at 4:05 and did not get service until 4:55, after I had asked several people. Filling down my nails took 5 minutes at the most. I found it ridiculous that I had to wait 1 hour to receive a 5-minute service. Nails look great but the nail technician that performed my eyebrow waxing burnt me during the process and then only offered me $3 off of the price of my eyebrow waxing despite burning me. I thought I had found my new nail salon. My first experience here was great! My second experience was absolutely terrible!! I don't mind waiting, just tell me how long it will be an let me decide. I was told to pick my color and have a seat. Sat there about 10 minutes. Not too bad. Someone brings me polish remover to soak my SNS nails in. 55 minutes later a nail technician came to do my nails. 55 minutes!!!! She forgot what color I wanted and took about 10 more minutes to find it. Once done it looked way too thick...like press on nails. I asked her to file it down and I think that pissed her. She buffed my nails so aggressively that 4 cuticles are still bleeding a day later. A simple apology for the ridiculous wait would have sufficed. read more

The service at Nail Shadow is amazing! I came on a busy Friday afternoon and they took me right away. I got a pedicure and acrylic full set with gel. My pedicure was so relaxing and they are extremely clean/sanitary. They use fresh tools and a liner over the pedi bowl. My nail tech was one of the managers named Twin. She was super attentive and made great conversation. She actually did my entire acrylic full set mani while I was getting my pedi. The nail shaping was perfect! Picked up the last bottle of this stuff (sold in Walgreen etc in a red colored bottle for about $5) and I am sure this helped the perfect-to-begin-with manicure last for just over a week in optimum condition with NO chipping!! The pedicure was fine, but I def still walked out with dry heels. The manicure started cracking the next day, and had chipped by day 2. Went here last week for the first time for a standard gel manicure, and won't be going back. The receptionist was nice enough and helped me locate the color that I always used at my old salon. However, the nail tech that actually did my manicure was not so nice. Only opened her mouth to communicate with other technicians, not with me. She even pointed to tell me when to switch hands under the UV light instead of speaking to me. Further, after 2 coats of color and a top coat, she proceeded to add another layer of color and ANOTHER layer of top coat - without asking! I guess the color was too light for her liking? Needless to say the end result was entirely too thick, and began chipping and peeling only 3 days later. Also, I was not impressed with the overall appearance or cleanliness of the salon. Lastly, this manicure was over 10% more expensive than the same service at my old salon. Only positive thing I can say was that she was quick - whole process took about 30 minutes. read more

I am sad to say this is not a good review. Tonight me and my best friend went in after a hard day of work to get our nails done. We decided to that afternoon and I had been looking forward to it. We decided to go to nail shadow bc it was on our way home. It's not our usual spot but I have been a handful of times and really enjoyed it. One of the things that I love is they offer back and foot massages for a little more. I had an extremely hard day and was looking forward to it. We got there at 650, and I thought that was okay. Do not go at this time. I understand people wanting to go home after a long day of work, but change your hours if you are going to pack up early with a shop full of paying clients. I had requested a general gel manicure and was told they had my particular color in gel, but when I sat down, I learned they didn't. They picked my color for me and I really like it. But my friend asked for a gel full set. They tried to give her a regular gel manicure. Once she realized what they were doing, she corrected them and told them 3 times what she wanted. A male worker turned around and with a demeaning tone said they don't do that, as a matter of fact,no one does that anymore and that they only offer acrylic or SNS. He made her feel stupid. Then, in a condescending way, he asked her where she was from, she replied athens (where we are from) and told him, "I usually go to Hammond Nails and they offer it there"(/everywhere else she has ever gotten her nails done, but she didn't say that). He said with a defensive tone, oh they do? That's when I got really uncomfortable. Then he started talking to all of the other ladies in a different language, but it was obvious to me they were making fun of my friend. I was embarrassed bc I had suggested this spot. I had asked for a pedicure with additional foot massage, that didn't happen. I'm pretty sure I paid for it too. I got a fine pedicure and manicure but no back or foot massage, as requested. Also, when they stared my pedicure at it was 724, they started packing up. I felt bad for even being there. The music was turned off and it was silent and I was extremely uncomfortable. My friend ended up with a shape of nails she didn't want and a color she didn't want. I'm so embarrassed of our experience there. That's not the way to treat a paying customer. Stumbled across this business yesterday and will definitely be putting it on my favorite list - it is a clean, comfortable nail salon with decent pricing ($37 for two of us - me for a pedicure and my friend for a manicure) and friendly staff. They are a bit hard to find - if you're heading north on Peachtree, pass Starbucks and BoA and turn right into the shopping center at the light then turn left into the parking area. Nail Shadow is on the second floor adjacent to For Eyes and above Talbots. The salon is a large, bright and clean white room with spa pedicure chairs lining the walls and manicure tables in a large box in the center. When we walked in on Saturday with no appointment they were able to fit us in immediately. The spa pedicure chair had a very nice massage function - very firm (but with controls so that you can adjust the firmness) and comfortable. I'd come back for that alone, but the pedicure was great too. They have a lot of color options - an entire wall filled with them. Pedicure included a loooong calf/foot massage and they already had disposible flip flops ready for me to wear at the end (since I didn't come prepared), I didn't even have to ask. My daughter received a gift card for Christmas. She got a manicure and had a balance still left on the gift card. The receptionist gave her a receipt for the manicure and another receipt showing the balance (about half of the original gift card). She did not return the gift card to her saying she would only need the receipt with the balance. Lo and behold.... she goes back for a manicure and presents the receipt and the manager would not honor it without the actual gift card. I am a regular at nail shadow, and wouldn't trust anyone else to do my fill and pedicure. It is extremely difficult to find a great nail tech, but rest assured, they are here. From the moment you walk in the door it is clean, fresh flowers set out, and you are greeted in English. Helpful tip is to ask for CC, who will do your nails right the first time, exactly like you like them. You don't have to sit for a long time (unless you want to, because he moonlights as a weekly love counselor). For once, a place where getting your nails done is enjoyable, and done right! They sat us right down and seemed nice enough...however, I basically paid $22 for someone to wash my feet and paint my toe nails. My friend and I both left with dry skin still on our heels. Nail salon was clean and staff was pleasant. However, I am very unhappy with my nails. I got SNS and the color I chose turned out way different than the sample. Every nail is supper messy at the nail beds. The messiest SNS I've ever gotten. I'll probably have to get them redone sooner than I normally do because the base of the nail is just that messy.
