DO NOT GO HERE!! the male artist are extremely rude and judgmental! my recent experience there was awful! the guy who did my toes was rude. i asked for french tips and he ended up painting the whole nail a solid color, when i kindly corrected him he told me next "this is something you need to ask for ahead time so i don't have to restart", like hello? he totally RUINED my nail growth! my toe nail no longer grows straight instead it's growing crooked all because of how he cut and file my nail! why on earth would you file someone's entire front of the nail and literally dig the file into the sides!? like are you serious that's probably not even state board standard! i have serious ingrowns (my skin around my toe is swollen!!) plus crooked nail! never in my life has this ever happened to me! read more

The vibe is fun, they are always nice. But the quality just isn't it. this was my 5th-6th visit and I constantly overlook the minor things almost every visit. There's always nails shorter than others, some are noticeable crooked, and the paint application is never neat and I need to come and try and clean them up myself. I've been coming to this salon for years and it's always such a great experience. The entire team is warm, genuine, and really takes pride in their work. Tracy did a nice job with our pedicure. The salon has been updated with new chairs and flooring. Looks new! We upgraded to a sugar scrub which was relaxing and our feet ended up baby soft. Reasonable prices $35 for a standard pedicure, $50 each for our upgraded service. read more

Been here before and I wasn't a fan of the previous owners. But the new owner Vy is so sweet. I've been going to this place for two years and I love it. Prices are really reasonable compared to other places I've been to. My go-to girl is Tracy. She does such an amazing job! She listens to what I want, really gentle, and gets the perfect shape exactly how I like my nails. Her paint job is top notch and my nails last forever! read more

Been seeing this on our way home and wanted to try. So i made an appointment yesterday. The staff are really nice, they follow covid 19 safety regulations. They put plastic on the basin for foot spa, they have glass divider where they do nails, masks on. Love their choice of music. Love those hot stones they massage on my leg. And they did a good job on my nails. This might be my go to from now on. I just didnt get the names of technicians did my nails 4 stars just because my hands are kinda sticky after and they didnt soak. But i am happy with my nails. read more

I make the drive out to Henderson because they are the only salon that can make my gel manis last. Super friendly staff & pretty (and clean!) interior. This time I asked for a soft French & she delivered exactly what I envisioned. They also sell very pretty bottles of cuticle oil infused with organic florals & crystals. The lavender scent was lovely! I def recommend visiting Nail Star. read more

I haven't gotten a mani/pedi the entire pandemic b/c I've been social distancing. But I decided enough is enough -- went to Nail Star and got a mani/pedi and it was horrific!! The reviews are correct that the staff here is super sweet. Unfortunately, I don't go to a nail salon to chit chat, I go to get my nails done. I've never had a pedicure go so fast, the gentleman was done in 20 minutes. He barely scrubbed my heels, didn't cut my cuticles at all and all my toenails are different shapes. The woman who did my manicure did an equally poor job at shaping my nails. It was so bad I had to buy tools to fix it when I got home (see the before and after photos -- the before is what I left Nail Star with and the after is after I fixed it *myself* at home). And this mani/pedi costed $50!! Again, super kind staff but horrific job. Won't be returning. read more

Nail Star... where they make you feel like a Star!! Joey, Tina, and everyone else here are professional and kind. I've been going here since they opened over a year ago and I'm so happy to see their continual success. They always do my nails really well, no matter who is doing them. I can tell you that every time I get my nails done from here they last so much longer than other nail salons. The gel doesn't chip or tear and I definitely suggest gel is the better way to go. I have a hard time scheduling future appointments because of my crazy work schedule, but I usually call ahead of time to make sure they have openings the day of so I'm not stuck waiting for a while because they do get really busy at times! (It's inevitable at a place that's doing really well!) I am a loyal client to Nail Star and never had a nail salon I continuously went to, until now. :-) Ps, get a punch card. I'm so sad, this was my favorite nail salon for years. John and Launa were the best. I called today to make an appointment with John. I was told he was On vacation. So I asked for Launa. They made me an appointment with her for 12:30. I got there, the place was completely remodeled. My appointment wasn't with Launa. No apologies, no sorry we switched your person, no explanation. I later learned from someone else that not John and Launa are gone. I do not appreciate being lied to! Also the prices are through the roof. It use to cost $60 for a pedicure with regular polish and a gel manicure. At first, they were trying to charge me $85‍ then the new gal said $75 because she thought I got gel on my toes. Very disappointed. I loved this location so much! Beware of thinking it is the same great service and pricing. It is not. read more

Definitely not impressed. They did the bare minimum and a half ass job for a much higher price. Their tools are not even sterilized. They never asked us what kind of pedicure we wanted and said they couldn't put on lotion or really do much of anything because they can't really "touch." They had signs that clients will be 6' apart for safety, but sat me right next to someone. After she was done, they sat someone else next to me. Also, even if you make an appointment, you will still wait before and in between each rushed service. read more

I would call or text Dong to make an appointment because it's mostly just him at the shop, and he books up fast. However there's usually another person there to take walk ins if he's not available. He's got acrylic, gel x, builder gel, dipping powder, and whatever else there is out there. He keeps up with the latest trends. With the amount of Gen Z nail-fluencers out there charging a crazy amount for pretty basic nails, you're way better off coming to see Dong. His prices are always fair and the personal care you get is priceless.

The first photo is what I asked for, and the second is what I actually got... it's honestly a huge difference. What a letdown. Never coming back. Beware.

I went to Nail Star for the first time today after reading all of the reviews I found on Yelp. Let me just say, this is truly a 5 Star salon. All of the nail technicians were warm and friendly, with an obvious focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience. The salon is extremely clean and neat, and all stations are organized and well kept. Grace did the prep work on my nails, and took her time to ensure they were shaped and cut exactly the way I wanted them. She even took care to be gentle with the torn piece of skin I came in with on the side of my right thumb, which she completely fixed for me like a pro. When I came in, I wasn't sure what exactly I was looking for in terms of a design. I just knew I wanted a Valentine's Day theme. After describing to Tina what I was thinking of, she immediately set to work bringing it to life. She is a true artist who can take an idea in someone's mind, and create an inspired piece of art. I will never go to another salon. I was thoroughly impressed and so grateful for the wonderful experience as a new customer. Thank you Tina and Grace for the awesome job you did for me! read more

I was super happy with all the services provided. I called and was able to get an appointment for my mother and myself within the hour. We walked in and were welcomed to take a seat and start right away with no wait. Everyone had a mask on and hand sanitizer was out and available. The establishment was clean and neat. I even have a toe I thought may be broken and they did such an amazing job - no pain - great service and my toes are sparkly again. I actually found this place on yelp. There is a reason they have five stars. Not only are they skilled, but they have a sense of customer service that I have never seen at a nail salon. Great customer service and awesome nails! I had a bad experience at Gorgeous Nails on Eastern Avenue and was afraid to go back to a nail salon for a long time. There's usually a Netflix show or movie playing in the background, which I love. Even though they're just $25 a pop, they scrape all of the dead skin off of your feet and whip out the hot towels for your legs.
