Wish I had found Angie ages ago! Really convenient location in Westwood Village but away from the hustle and bustle because it's tucked in a suite of salons. Angie is so nice and does such an amazing job - so many nail technicians don't seem to get the shape right but Angie is one of the few who listens to what you want and gets it perfect!! Also, she has a LOT of colors to choose from - really nice selection.

Angie got me in easily and did such a great job! She didn't rush and gave me exactly what I wanted and was very reasonably priced. Thankful to have found her!

GO. HERE. I promise you won't regret it. Angie's salon is located inside of the Phenix Suites. I had a bit of a hard time finding it and she came looking for me when I texted her. She's so fun to talk to and really takes her time with your nails. She also cares a lot about making sure she gives you exactly what you visualized for yourself. I'm so happy with how they turned out. I got dip with extensions. This is great for UCLA students as it's just a short walk from the Target in Westwood. Prices are reasonable as well. Will be a regular client from now on! read more

I texted Angie to book an appointment for Acrylics with Gel and it was super easy! Her prices were reasonable as I paid $50 and she spent over 1.5 hours on my nails. She was personable and diligent. However, my only complaint is that she told me it would last for a month and after two weeks my nails have started falling off at the tip which is really disappointing. Both my left thumb and right pinky have cracked and fallen off (as you can see in the picture). Angie is really really great but I'm disappointed in the longevity considering it was $50 for just two weeks of wear. read more

It was my first time seeing Angie who is conveniently located near my workplace at UCLA. I called on a whim and she was able to take me right then and there during my lunch hour. She is clean and efficient - she definitely knows what she's doing! I will be coming back to her especially because she's a short, brisk walk away. Her location is tricky. She's in Suite 117 of Phenix Salons (across Jersey Mikes) and shares it with a hair stylist. There is only room for her and her client, which is fine by me because it gets the job done. In order for me to write a review on Yelp!, service must be really good, or really really bad. Nothing in between. I had an appointment today at 8:45am which I had set up a few days back. Well, I got there at 8:47 and went up and down the street for about 4 minutes looking for the place (it's a tiny space, I kept missing it). I walked in at 8:50am, there was a guy doing someone's haircut and Angie (I'm guessing, she never really said anything to me), was in the middle of doing someone else's nails. Well, I sat there confused for about 10 minutes while they were having a loud conversation. At 9AM I started to wonder if I was at the right place. Not once did Angie look at me to tell me she was running late, or acknowledge that she had seen me. So unprofessional. At 9:02ish or so, I walked out. This ruined all my plans for the day. Now, at 9:56 I'm sitting in my car looking for another nail salon where they can squeeze me in for a mani and pedicure. Infuriating experience. I have to be at LAX by 11:30AM today. read more

I only went a few times, but my nails were done very well. She took her time and was a great conversationalist. The shop is located in a great area and pricing was fair. I'd continue to go if it wasn't so far from home but she was awesome. Hard to find someone who does shellac and won't thin your nails out. read more

I came in from the San Francisco Bay Area to get my nails done for my daughter's LA wedding. Angie recommended a beautiful color that I hadn't thought of to go with my dress, and then applied it so perfectly that it lasted well after the event. I wish she were in my area, I'd go to her all the time. She's professional, and congenial, and I don't know what else you would need for your nails. read more

I have moved with Angie for over 20 years to every salon she goes to. Now she is in her own in Westwood, near UCLA. She is a miracle worker with nails. I have gels and pedicures and have not once had a problem. She is always on time and her salon is clean and neat with loads of colors for nails and toes. Didn't even last two weeks before they started cracking (never experienced that before). They generally looked a bit slap dash and unprofessional. Somewhat disappointed. read more

After checking on Yelp, I tried to go to Angie for an acrylic fill and she did an amazing job! After one month my nails still look good and none of them broke. In my experience, I found a lot of salons that make fills and full sets for cheap, but nails break almost right away, and the quality of the products they use I guess is not that good. I'd rather spend $30/35 for a great manicure that lasts! I highly recommend Angie read more

Then when I have to move it to be comfortable they get upset with me. What I love about Lisa is she is gentle. If I am uncomfortable she tries her best to work with the fact my foot might be tilted a bit and makes it work. She is detailed and listens to the shape and requests I might have. She is so sweet and I love having her do my nails. I know I dont talk much when I am there but I REALLY appreciate the women who do my nails and the care they take.

The way the staff spoke about clients, right in front of them, was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Just because someone isn't visibly reacting doesn't mean they don't understand or aren't translating. As for the service: my nails looked okay at first, but the polish was too translucent. I asked for additional coats, but the adjustments made were minimal. After the appointment, I contacted the salon via WhatsApp to politely ask if they could fix a couple of things. Instead of being receptive, they dismissed my concerns entirely, saying they didn't see anything wrong--and then stated I'd have to pay for a fix. That part really baffled me. If they "don't see" an issue, how can they justify charging to fix it? The communication was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. It's no surprise they currently have a 3.4-star rating on Yelp. It would've been far more professional to simply resolve the issue and retain a returning customer, rather than respond with attitude and brush off valid concerns. I've attached screenshots of the conversation and photos of the nails for reference.

Living in Santa Monica, I was tired of the sky-high prices at salons, so I decided to check this place out since they quoted me only $39 for a gel manicure - a pretty decent price compared to what I've seen in Santa Monica. The experience was okay. The gel lasted me about 2-3 weeks before it started chipping, so while the quality wasn't extraordinary, I'd say you get what you pay for. For $39, it's a solid deal, significantly when most salons around LA charge at least $50 for a regular gel manicure. This salon doesn't offer gel builder manicures, which last much longer but cost significantly more. If you need your nails done quickly and don't want to break the bank, this place is a great option. Perfect if you're prepping for an event or just looking for something affordable. Just know that the wear and tear might show after a couple of weeks, but it's hard to complain about the price!

It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

You can't go wrong having Angie do your nails. She works in a friendly little space in a very convenient part of Westwood. Parking is not a problem. She always does an excellent job on my nails which are acrylics. I've never lost one of them or even had lifting problems since I started with her. She has a great selection of colors and is willing to try a couple of colors before we settle on one. This is helpful because sometimes the way the color looks in the bottle isn't the way it looks on one's hands. Three cheers for Angie! Give her a try. read more
