The night before my appointment, the salon asked me to move my original Monday appointment to Sunday morning at 10:30 AM. I happily accommodated because I assumed it would help them with scheduling. Unfortunately, when I arrived at 10:30, nobody was available to start my service until around 10:45. I was patient and understanding because delays happen. However, things became uncomfortable once the next client arrived at 11:00 while my manicure was still being done. The service immediately started feeling rushed. The next customer was visibly upset and questioning why I was still in the chair, and I found myself being stared at throughout the remainder of my appointment because the salon had fallen behind schedule. What I was told would be a quick 15-25 minute service ended up taking around 40 minutes, largely because the manicure wasn't properly completed the first time. The nail tech rushed from my hands to my pedicure before fully finishing the manicure, and I had to ask for my nails to be re-filed because they were uneven and still too long. There was also little to no proper cuticle cleanup done. What disappointed me most wasn't even the delay itself -- it was the lack of accountability afterward. As someone who has supported this salon for years and even accommodated a last-minute schedule change to help them out, I expected at minimum some acknowledgment that the experience was affected. Instead, I left feeling rushed, uncomfortable, and unimpressed with the quality of service. Unfortunately, this is not the first time lateness has happened here, but it may be the last time I ignore it.

The way the staff spoke about clients, right in front of them, was completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Just because someone isn't visibly reacting doesn't mean they don't understand or aren't translating. As for the service: my nails looked okay at first, but the polish was too translucent. I asked for additional coats, but the adjustments made were minimal. After the appointment, I contacted the salon via WhatsApp to politely ask if they could fix a couple of things. Instead of being receptive, they dismissed my concerns entirely, saying they didn't see anything wrong--and then stated I'd have to pay for a fix. That part really baffled me. If they "don't see" an issue, how can they justify charging to fix it? The communication was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. It's no surprise they currently have a 3.4-star rating on Yelp. It would've been far more professional to simply resolve the issue and retain a returning customer, rather than respond with attitude and brush off valid concerns. Living in Santa Monica, I was tired of the sky-high prices at salons, so I decided to check this place out since they quoted me only $39 for a gel manicure - a pretty decent price compared to what I've seen in Santa Monica. The experience was okay. The gel lasted me about 2-3 weeks before it started chipping, so while the quality wasn't extraordinary, I'd say you get what you pay for. For $39, it's a solid deal, significantly when most salons around LA charge at least $50 for a regular gel manicure. This salon doesn't offer gel builder manicures, which last much longer but cost significantly more. If you need your nails done quickly and don't want to break the bank, this place is a great option. Perfect if you're prepping for an event or just looking for something affordable. Just know that the wear and tear might show after a couple of weeks, but it's hard to complain about the price!
