I recently tried the nail salon right under my office after not getting my nails done for a few months. Living in Santa Monica, I was tired of the sky-high prices at salons, so I decided to check this place out since they quoted me only $39 for a gel manicure - a pretty decent price compared to what I've seen in Santa Monica. The experience was okay. The gel lasted me about 2-3 weeks before it started chipping, so while the quality wasn't extraordinary, I'd say you get what you pay for. For $39, it's a solid deal, significantly when most salons around LA charge at least $50 for a regular gel manicure. This salon doesn't offer gel builder manicures, which last much longer but cost significantly more. If you need your nails done quickly and don't want to break the bank, this place is a great option. Perfect if you're prepping for an event or just looking for something affordable. Just know that the wear and tear might show after a couple of weeks, but it's hard to complain about the price! read more

I got a regular mani-pedi here twice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is fast and friendly, and my nails looked pretty good, to be honest.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No issues there. However, I'm unsure about the cleanliness of everything. I know it's typical for busy nail salons, but during my pedicure, they handled money because someone at the front desk wanted to pay. They continued working on my feet without changing gloves. Same goes to picking up the phone. They move so quickly that sometimes they overlook these details, and I'm not sure how sanitary it is to handle money or credit cards or touching the register during a pedicure. I'm not certain if this is standard practice or just that day, but it made me uncomfortable. read more

Service: 10/10. Decided spontaneously to get my nails done after having never been to a nail salon before. Called & was able to get an appointment right away. They were clearly very busy upon walking in, but that didn't get in the way of taking care of me when I arrived. My manicurist was Thanh. She did an awesome job & was gentle on my hands/nails, & didn't destroy my cuticles! She was also very patient in letting me choose a color; they've a ton of options & I didn't feel rushed. The manicurist pushed back cuticles too far and cut them up improperly that it now hurts and looks bad (whereas they weren't bad to start). The nail polish on fingernails do not wrap around sides or edge properly and enough time was not given before putting on top coat so the polish shrunk away from top edge. Also, the polish was not in good condition because it became all bubbly and uneven. What a waste. Also, I called for an appointment and they didn't have anything until 5 so I said I'll call right back after discussing with my friend. 4 minutes later, I called back twice and no one picked up. Then my friend called and they picked up and acknowledged they got my call. Wow. Thanks for screening my calls. You could have had enough respect for potential customers to pick-up and say "nothing available." Obviously, they were able to work us in, but I wish they hadn't. read more

They recently increased their prices- 54 for gel mani and pedi. There is plenty of 2 hour street parking nearby. I recently moved to the area and was on the hunt for my go-to nail salon. I tried several places around the area but each one didn't feel right. I needed a manicure BC Nails was next on my list to try. I called in the morning and was able to get an appointment the same day. I always anticipate parking (because living in LA for so long). There are several metered parkings along Westwood and Missouri, both close to the salon ($1 an hour, 1 hour max). I arrived early and they were able to take me in. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure ($54 for both). Loc did my manicure. I was undecided between two colors and he helped me pick out the better color. He is incredibly sweet, very personable. I mentioned that I parked at a meter and that my time was coming up. He actually went to the meter and put more time for me. How nice was that!! He took much care and attention to detail. I liked how they didn't try to up-sell me, like most salons. The place is clean. No frills. The best price you can find on the westside. I will definitely be returning! read more

BC has been the ONLY salon I trust my nails with for several years now. Lina and the entire team at BC deliver consistently great nails every time. The salon is unpretentious and super clean. They have a massive selection of colors (though don't ask for gel tips - they don't do that). They do their best to fit you into the schedule but never make you feel rushed, even when busy (and they're always pretty busy because people know what's up). This is a great spot! We called to get appointments and later had to push back the time and asked to add on someone, and they were nice enough to accommodate us. It's $35 for a mani/pedi, which seems very reasonable to me. Everyone there is kind, professional, and takes the time to get your nails just right. I come here for my monthly gel manicure. The staff is always kind, and my nails turn out amazing every time. They get very busy, so call for an appointment. All of my appointment times have started on time. Sometimes it does get very busy and your manicurist might change, but they always try their best to get you out quickly. I have definitely seen some clients changing their minds or asking for additional services last minute, and this causes a bottleneck with the appointments. Lastly, they used to have a sign that said "CASH TIPS ONLY", so bring cash for tips. :) read more

I made an appointment over the phone a day before. When I arrived & elder women told me to sit & wait for the women that will do my eyebrows I said okay. I waited over 20 minutes. Another woman staff member arrived. The same lady that told me to wait told me okay get up and made me follow her into the waxing room. She was the one that waxed my eyebrows which made no sense since she said I had to wait. She wasn't doing anything at all those entire 20 mins. After I got waxed I asked to get pedi & mani I was told okay. Still had to wait. When getting my nails done the man seemed like he didn't want to do them. He messed up twice and I asked him to fix it. He did. The 3rd time I messed them up but he had gotten up so quick right after doing my nails and got on the phone and ordered lunch and just left. I understand he wanted lunch but if he wasn't in the mood to do my nails they could have just had someone else do them or said no. After he left I asked the women who waxed me to fix my nailed she seemed bothered. And to end the experience with a bang! When I payed upfront. I payed with card, I was going to tip with card as well and the women at the register goes tip? Right before she even tells me my total and I go oh yes on the card and she goes no we can't do. So I said okay and then proceeded to want to pay my amount then she goes, cash tip you can give me cash. I explained I didn't have cash then she got mad. She said I fix for you and then asked me how much I said 5.00 because of my experience or I'd given 15 for the crew. Then as I finished signing she goes next time you bring cash. I understand tips are awesome but you don't attack a customer down their throat for a tip. You guys see plenty of people and I'm sure they tip.
