Omg I love Ting!!! There aren't really good nail salons in Brentwood and I was just getting frustrated with bad service or unhygienic practices. I found Ting by googling and was a bit nervous to try a small place but I'm so glad I gave her a chance. You should definitely do your nails here! I also love the idea of supporting a minority women owned small business. She is also the sweetest person in the world. She gives you 1:1 attention and she takes into account what looks good for you and what's healthier for your nails. Her prices are comparable to the other nail salons around here except if you get gel done with her she does not charge you for the removal so her prices are actually better. She also uses toxic free (none of the toxic 7) and vegan polishes and always has new colors. She does amazing nail art! I work in a hospital and my nails get chipped sometimes and she guarantees her work so she'll even fix them for free. It's also feels like it's pretty easy to find an appointment. She is very professional and clean. I trust her so much! Her space is welcoming and inviting and so pretty! I love all the pink! It is very relaxing and nice and I love all the plants.

I went in after a 10 year sabbatical from having acrylics. My nails were so short and unhealthy. Ting was very much meticulous yet very gentle in cleaning and styling my nails. She was also very sweet and good company too. I was given a complimentary nail oil to help with my very dry skin (her own mix) and i very much appreciate it. TLDR: $$$ worth it for very nice service, friendly chat, quality nail art, extra tea & treats and lovely cat! ________________________________ I was in a rush to get my nails done for upcoming vacation and I found her business by luck. Before finding her, I checked multiple salons in west LA and many of them did not have parts for the design I wanted or their schedule never worked out. I found Ting when I was working in Brentwood and had to get my nails done ASAP. All I have to say is what a blessing. I now go to her little bail studio because I will literally follow this woman anywhere. She is respectful, attentive, makes sure every detail is perfect and I leave her place beaming with joy every time! I usually do gel and when I go to random places, my nails become thin and brittle and my gel barely lasts. With Ting, my nails have gotten stronger, they've grown to the length I want and they last 3 weeks minimum. She is truly the best at her craft and also such a sweet person. read more

I was brand new to LA and took a chance on es nail bar where ting was working at the time because they carried bioseaweed nontoxic gel. I was lucky to get ting my first visit there and never looked back. I've followed her since and will continue to. She has the most impeccable attention to detail that is important to obsessives like myself, and she takes great care of my nails. Most gel nail places are way too harsh in your nails, and I was looking for a more non-toxic approach. I am not a fan of the soak off removal approach, as my nails become brittle. I was also looking for a salon that didn't do acrylics because of the smell because I was pregnant then. I am happy to say I am a regular, both Kazumi and Aiko are wonderful. My nails have never been healthier and I often get people commenting on the designs. They are super fast and do such great designs, anything you can think of or if you have examples they are very skilled. Their prices are very reasonable for the west side for the quality you get. There is also a small parking lot that's free, another positive for WLA. The inside is super cute and clean, Kazumi has many cute plants and crystals, you will feel relaxed.

The way she works is very zen-like. She keeps her tools very neatly in one place, she is very resourceful, she is very quiet and smooth with her movements. She took extra time to make sure my nail art was good as it can be. The reason why I give 3 stars is because although she is very talented, she lacks in basic nail skills. Initially I was very happy with my white ombré nails but I noticed my cuticles weren't as smooth as they typically would have been if I had gone to my usual spot. I remember noticing that my cuticles weren't cut and Kazumi told me that cutting cuticles would dry them out more. Sadly, as the day went on I was stressing out and the next day I had to get my cuticles fixed right before of my wedding at another salon. The technician actually told me that my nails "looked terrible." I am sure Kazumi gives great work to other clients, but I was disappointed and I don't know if I will come back. My cuticles aren't always in the best shape (I'm a healthcare worker) but I expect at least they would've been cleaned up better considering the $50+ I spent and the fact that my nails were going to be photographed up close for my wedding.

I came in today 1.5 hour earlier than my appointment. Angie greeted me as always, so friendly while navigating a busy room. Professional and efficient. She checked to see if the ladies could take me early and they could. Next I HAVE to give Lisa her flowers. So I have been coming here for YEARS and though I am not picky about who does the pedicure service, I want someone that hears me and is gentle. I have ankle and some joint issues and in the past (not necessarily here), I have had people move my feet and ankles in position that are painful because they feel more comfortable if my feet are in a certain position. Then when I have to move it to be comfortable they get upset with me. What I love about Lisa is she is gentle. If I am uncomfortable she tries her best to work with the fact my foot might be tilted a bit and makes it work. She is detailed and listens to the shape and requests I might have. She is so sweet and I love having her do my nails. I know I dont talk much when I am there but I REALLY appreciate the women who do my nails and the care they take.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I love this nail studio!! I used to feel self-conscious about the shape of my nails, so I avoided growing them out or getting them done because I didn't want to draw attention to them. But after meeting Ting, everything changed. Her work completely transformed my nails in a way I never thought possible! This place is a an hidden treasure, I have discovered and been coming here for my crazy nail needs for months. I usually get extensions full sets with nail arts, this place is the best where you can find near Santa Monica area. I have to say the place will be place will be a little higher, but you get what you payed for!! Always satisfied with Ting's work, she is the best. The do one hour validation in the parking lot. I went to this place yesterday for my first visit, very impressed with how hygienist they take care of everything. The do amazing nail arts and gel application look so clean! Love they use the Japanese gel presto, this is the only brand I love and last forever on me. I been coming to Ting for a couple a months and her gel mani are fantastic. She never disappoints and she pays attention to detail. I love how everyone that works there treats you well.
