Groupon refunded my money without a problem, particularly when I sent them our texts and her cancellation emails. I had posted screen shots of all the times Honey cancelled on me (and there were several), but apparently she removed them -- these are the same texts, emails and screencaps I sent to Groupon when I got my refund. I'm just kind of shocked that Groupon is still letting her do a deal, after all the refunds they've had to process. People leaving her these reviews aren't "bashers" as someone said -- rather, they're people who've bought and paid for a Groupon, then had to go through the nightmare that is trying to book with her. I bought a groupon a couple months back and I am so glad I did or I would not have found this gem. When i called to schedule an appointment it was a few days shy of expiring. Honey got back to me right away and scheduled me and a friend to come in. It was after the expiration date but she honored them anyway. When we first got there we weren't sure we were in the right place since it was in a chiropractic building but when we walked in we were warmly greeted by Dr. Ken and told Honey would be right with us. We had a great conversation about other services that were offered at that location and we will be back for those. Honey took us back into a private room and from the very beginning she was awesome. So friendly and genuine, really wanting to know about us and sharing about herself as well. It was a wonderful experience all around. She offered us coffee and really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. As for the nail service, she really spent the extra time to make sure we were taken care of and satisfied with the work she did. She did a shellac on mani pedi for me and a buff mani pedi for my friend. When we left we were so very very happy with what she had done and can't wait to return. Not only did we get excellent service but we had so much fun doing it and both left feeling like we made a new friend. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a better experience in nail work and those that are looking for a sweet and genuine person to do them. read more

I've been with Honey for approximately 13 years and absolutely love her to death. She does amazing nails, including shellac (which I am addicted to for my toes), and she's a KILLER spray tanner! She's not only good at what she does, but she's an all around fun, positive, authentic person. Not at ALL like the heretical rant by crazypants Jacquelyn B below. Obviously, there was an agenda there. But I digress... Honey is the jam. For future reference, this business is in the chiropractic clinic. Honey has her own room in it. She cancelled on me twice already. This time she said she forgot she booked me & then scheduled people over my appointment that I waited over a month to get. I was texting about it too & she said she was available 23rd from 9-1pm. Seriously? Honey needs a better system. Learn how to run a business sweetie. I could do 10 times a better job than you. I don't care if you're the sweetest person alive, if you don't even know how to run your business, you do not deserve any respect. read more

Unprofessional! After three attempts of trying to schedule an appt with her, and her canceling then wanting to reschedule, I gave up! I had bought a groupon for mothers day and she obviously didn't even care to gain two potential new clients, so I got a refund. read more

I can not give a review of her actual work because I was never able to get an appointment with her. I bought two Groupons and then called to get an appointment for me and my friend. The problems I encountered when trying to communicate with her: 1) She would only text back and forth, even after calling multiple times. Actually answering/returning a call would have been SO much more efficient in setting up my appointments. 2) When I texted back my time options, she would text back appointments that did not fit into the times I had just given her. So frustrating to text back and forth with very little actual communication taking place. 3) When I finally went ahead and scheduled two appointments for a month ahead (her only openings that fit my schedule (btw I work normal hours during the day)), I had to text again to confirm that it was indeed confirmed. I guess she figured if she didn't text back I was just to assume the times worked for her? Hmmm.... 4) an HOUR before our appointments she texts to "confirm" the appointments, and would we be able to move it a half hour back? When I texted, yes, we are coming in, but NO, the time change does not work she finally CALLED, but saying she couldn't fit us in unless we changed the time. This is for appointments I booked a month in advance! There was no explanation why. She canceled our appointments, half an hour before we were scheduled to come in. BEWARE of buying Groupons for this particular business. Groupon has graciously credited my account but if you buy a Groupon from her you may be stuck with a certificate you can not get an appointment for! read more

Just got a pedicure through groupon and Honey is amazing! I did encounter some problems initially as she was fully booked for a month so I waited and I'm glad I did. The second time I was able to get an appointment. For the quality of her work I really don't mind waiting because she takes her time with the clients and is very detail oriented. I don't even get that in a high end day spa. I'm sorry for the other bashers who probably didn't get a good experience with her. But this is my review and this is my experience. In my opinion Honey is a professional and I will go back to her for my nails. I sincerely encourage everyone to give her a chance. read more

DO NOT USE this manicurist if you value your time. I made an appt weeks ago for 1:00 today. I was doing this on my lunch hour. I showed up right on time. It is a strange set up - she is in a chiropractic office that was locked and closed. She came to the door and told me she was running behind and asked me to come back in a half hour. I ran an errand and came back at 1:30. Her very young daughter then answered the door and asked me to wait in the dark, chiropractic waiting area. I waited a half hour. I decided I was risking my job to wait any longer and went looking for her. I found her and said I couldn't wait any longer. Her only reply was "ok do you want to reschedule for tomorrow?"!! I am now requesting my money back as my time is worth way more than this. read more

I just gave it 2 stars NOT because I do not like the work that is being done by Honey, but because I think that my review along with all the other reviews that have been HIDDEN BY YELP need to be on the front page right along with Jacalyn B's (BOGUS) review! FYI, Jacalyn B. is actually Honey's sister that Jacalyn claims that Honey complains about! I was sitting next to her as she typed the review! However, I did not know Honey then but had the opportunity to meet her, Ken Gilden (The Chiropractor), their two cute and loving service doggies as well as Virginia, their massage therapist after being rear ended early this year. I needed a chiropractor immediately and Ken was the most reasonable with his prices as I did not have health insurance. They are all very kind, considerate, happy people in that office. I now get my nails done by Honey and her adorable little doggy 'G' sits on my lap the entire time! There is a tanning bed as well as spray tanning and Virginia does waxing also! The only downfall is that parking is a little hectic since Kips has opened it'd doors just across the street. Come on YELP!!! BE FAIR!!! Honey is in fact, THE BOMB DOT COM!! read more

DO NOT BOTHER. I bought a Groupon and it took three weeks to get in touch with her and she only returned my calls after I complained to Groupon. When I went in for my appointment, the place is in a chiropractic office they call a "medi-spa" and is impossible to find. During the appointment, Honey cussed frequently (tacky!), complained about her house in Alpine, complained about her husband/fiance and said she planned to divorce him if he didn't sell the house she didn't like, complained about her drug addicted sister and her sister's ex, complained about the other staff (in front of them!), bossed people around like she was the owner (which she is not, her fiance is), all while saying "f*cking" as every other word. There are animals in this "medi-spa" walking around freely. I would have never gone back except the Groupon was for two manicures. I texted her to make an appointment (that is the way she contacted me the last manicure when she finally did contact me) in the late afternoon. She texted me back at 1 in the morning on a Sunday! I will just chalk it up and NOT use the other Groupon. Trashy, tacky, and AWKWARD- Not worth it! read more

its worth the wait!!! she is a local trying to make it like all of us! its just her so that's why the turn around time is a little longer but the quality in her work and her product is something i have yet to experience, until now!!!! i had them done two weeks ago and not only has my polish notttt chipped neither has my natural nails nuts i say and i will wait for my next appt to see her once you start going you then set up your time for 2 to 3 weeks then.... once you go you will know what i mean im very hard on nails ie dishes laundry work name it!!!! the shalic one is highly recommended if your tired of getting fake nails or want to really grow yours out try her!!! shes adorable toooo sorry in a hurry thanks again honey, kameron k read more
