The prices are reasonable, but this is a no-frills nail salon. Most people come for gel manicure, but I come for regular. Gel just ruins my nails. For the best color for regular mani, I bring my own Essie, OPI, and Lux brand nail polish. If you want gell, there's plenty to choose from. Ann, the owner, is personable, and the best nail tech is hands down, Lo-ann. I have been seeing her for pedicures for 20 years --- she's got a loyal customer in me! Nancy does great manicure. I made an appointment the day of, for a basic gel manicure. I was in and out very fast, but there were only 3 nail artists so a few other customers had to wait quite a bit. I'd definitely recommend calling to book an appointment for this place! The manicure turned out great. The lady that did my pedicure after this tried harder and do a decent job after seeing my annoyed face. The first lady that did my gel manicure (I think it was the owner?) barely looked at my nails while doing them. She was done in 10 minutes which was the plus but the fact that she didn't even bother prepping my nails past roughening them with a machine is probably why. Didn't push back my cuticles at all and I know it hehe instruments aren't sterilized which is always a health hazard I'm wary of. Wish I saw the Yelp rating before going in. read more

I was in the area and decided to get my nails done here. I walked in with a friend of mine and the wait wasn't horrible, but long considering there were seats open and workers walking around. After getting seated for my pedicure the lady began to quickly do everything. It looked like she was in a hurry, although I didn't mind that since I thought that meant she was very good at her job and was trying to get me out quicker. That wasn't the case. She made two of my fingers bleed, and stabbed my left big toe until it started gushing too.. I suggested to maybe not continue but she said it's fine and started rubbing alcohol on my feet, and kept wiping it very hard with a towel. It's safe to say that I was in pain most the time, and was overcharged considering I didn't get a manicure done, but still got charged for the mani pedi combo price. I would've been fine with whatever happened but since it's been a week and the swelling and bleeding in my toe has gotten worse, I wanna WARN everyone to be careful here. And wanna say that maybe they don't use sanitary/new products, which might be the reason for her freaking out when she made me bleed in 3 different places. read more

I had a great French pedicure a couple weeks ago so I decided to come Back to try them out for SNS Dipping powder. It is always really important to get someone GOOD who knows how to make your nails look naturally thin and not thick and fake like you'll see with some sloppy billing powder jobs. Holy moly was this place express, in a bad way. Should've saved 30 dollars and did my nails on my own. Kept asking her to clean up the nail polish around my nails but she kept cutting the skin she painted on instead. Don't know how much skin she was planning on cutting. If you're wondering why the middle finger is darker it's because she decided to add a third coat (only on that finger) to cover a bubble. She cut a bit much on one of my toe nails and it was bleeding. Not such a big deal but just a precaution for future clients. I gave this place a second chance and they really did come around. I have been coming ever since. I feel that they care about their work and so far on my nails is shows a job well done. So far I have done pedicures, manicures, acrylics, waxed eyebrows and upper lip. DO NOT GO HERE...I always check to yelp and the one time I don't I get the worst experience. So I was in the area and had to get my nails done, so I called to see if they has availability. I started my mani requesting a gel manicure. As the nail tech was cutting my cuticles, she cut it so deep that I started bleeding. Tip....Maybe the nail tech can take a day off and learn how to cut cuticles! (Seems like this is an issue numerous clients had after reading reviews.) The cut was so bad that I told her I will do a regular manicure since I did not want to put my bloody finger in a UV light. I don't get an apology. Just a simple.. "its okay pick color." The nail tech puts on the polish. The polish is cheap quality that it looks wrinkled and bubbles after it drys. Also she leaves polish on the sides on my nail. I will post a pic so you get an idea of what it looks like. Since she told me to pay before, I had already tipped her 3 dollars. Wish I never did. I have lovely long nails and my two middle nails broke I decided I wanted something that would last me longer than my normal nails so I thought to try acrylics for the first time. I enjoyed having a laugh with the staff. And being who I am I I struck up a conversation with the other patrons who where all as sweet as the staff. The place was clean they helped me pick out a good colour and how long my nails should be, etc. I'm really happy with the nail job being new to this acrylic thing I was anxious but now I'm pretty darn pleased with how they came out. THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR NAILS. GO ELSEWHERE. I came in for a gel removal and gel manicure. I asked the technician to keep my nails as long as possible since I was happy with the length. She chopped them with the clippers, even after multiple requests to keep them long. I also asked multiple times for her to even out my nails with the file, and although she did, she didn't do it well. They are not well shaped. I could have done a better job myself. I was given a discount after I complained but the manicure should have been free for the quality. Additional warning: this salon filed my nails with the sander even after scraping off the gel - this only causes damage to nails and is NOT healthy for nails. Other customers seemed happy but my experience was very disappointing and a major waste. UPDATE: I returned to have them rectify my ruined nails with a top coat. I should have believed the Yelp reviews. Horrible service, especially when Ann (the owner) isn't there. Technicians don't acknowledge your presence. When asked to not buff toenails using nail drill (I don't have acrylics on my toes) I was given an attitude and the technician (the oldest woman working there) began hurting my toes on purpose. When asked for her name, she wouldn't give it. Made me wonder if she is even licensed to work there. The owner Ann is nice but her technicians are a nightmare. I will never go back. Horrible. I want to start off by saying that I've been a regular at Nail's Express for just about 10 years now. I used to go to ERIC for my nails -- he was an incredible nail technician... first one to ever be so gentle and do such an amazing job in such little time. I'm typically very sensitive, picky, and impatient, but with Eric I never even had to check what he was doing. There were times I would go in, give him my hands, and say "you know what to do" and he'd do a PERFECT job in just about 30 minutes. With that being said, he disappeared a year or two ago never to be heard of again. The owner made up this shady story about how he's working out of state in some other field -- whatever. So now I've been bouncing around from one nail tech to another trying to tolerate the poor job these people do, and although I've been very frustrated, this last experience topped it off for me. After explaining how I wanted my nails to be fixed over and over, and even showing her how to do it, this new nail tech (who I've gone to before) completely butchered my nails. To the point where people (unsolicited) are amazed by how horrible they are. HOW EMBARRASSING! And when I originally told her that she did a bad job, she said it was my fault because I needed to tell her what I wanted. lol! I SHOWED her and she still managed to F* it up! On top of that, the nails aren't even consistently messed up... each nail progressively got worse; it's almost funny to look at how her effort into the nails deteriorated nail by nail... RIDICULOUS service. I can't believe that after being a loyal customer for 10 years I was treated with service this bad... nails express has seriously gone down the drain in quality... to I used to vouch for this place to all of my friends and family! Rushed on my lunch break and this was the closest salon to my work was the only reason I came here. I could deal with the not so welcoming spa chair that I had to make sure was just quite faded and a little torn but not actually dirty. That the water, even after asking for it to be hotter, was only mildly warm. I thought watching the Vietnamese version of "The Voice" from a small TV behind my chair was interesting and I had my concerns that she would be distracted as the manicurist cut my cuticles rapidly with the scissors. YUP, a small corner of my middle finger was cut. Ouch. She acted like it happened all the time and promptly poured hydrogen peroxide on the finger and went on like it didn't matter ALSO continued to watch the TV. Damn those addictive reality shows. My finger still stings. I had brought my own polish from home but decided I wanted a light pink for my finger nails, she brought me 2 options, although I was hesitant on this unknown brand I went with it because she was raving it was the most popular light pink. We'll see how long it lasts because the manicure itself is a little sloppy and turns out it was her own brand that she had mixed together....should've gone with the OPI. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because my pedicure was actually pretty good and I feel bad for them. She didn't even offer me a discount or anything for cutting my finger. I come here for the SNS manicure and I love it! It stays on as long as gel, even more! The best thing about SNS is that the surface of the nails doesn't have to be scraped as with gel, no lamp necessary as it dries on it's own, and it makes your nails stronger! Other salons don't have this product. Otherwise, it is easy to make appointment here and the girls always help me create a design that I want, as I like to get creative with my nails. read more

Nail Express is not recommended whatsoever. Ann is the only lady who does acrylic nails and they do not last at all. I got my nails done a week in a half ago and nails should last 2-3 weeks especially if it has a gel polish coat. 2 nails had fallen off from the bottom to the top right off and many are lifted from the sides. This has to be the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my entire life. I only came here because it is super close to my house and my car wasn't working so I thought I'd just walk here and it couldn't be that bad. I arrived and asked for a gel pedicure. I left with something I could have done myself at home. They handed me the selection of colors to choose from and anything I selected had apparently been discontinued or they had run out. So finally, I chose a basic dark red. The woman filed my nails SO horribly and no matter how much I told her to fix it she kept making it more crooked and way shorter, so I eventually gave up. When it came time to apply the gel color, I noticed the bottle for the color barely had anything left in it. Instead of grabbing a new polish, she continued to use the empty one. She struggled to scrape whatever was left out of the bottle and put it on my nails. The results were extremely disappointing. It looked like a two year old had applied my nail polish the color was uneven and did not even shine. I will never be returning to this place. You would expect if you're paying $33 dollars to get your toes done you would receive some quality. Save yourself the time and trouble and go somewhere else!!!! read more
