Went for a regular pedicure and a dipping manicure on a Wednesday for vacation that was starting on Saturday (due to Prom weekend; this was the closest appointment I could get to my departure). Within just a few days my pedicure chipped on my big toe. This was the same big toe that the technician stepped on by mistake and completely ruined (while she was doing my manicure). The big toe had to be repainted but she tech skipped some steps and it didn't last. Regarding the dipping manicure. After just a few days my index finger started to lift and snag and I had to file it so that it would not completely be ruined. Then just at the week point; my thumb on my right hand chipped. I returned home on Friday after 10 PM and then Saturday morning I called and inquired and they said it usually should last you two to three weeks but it depends on what you are doing with your hands. I stated I was on vacation and obviously not doing a heck of a lot. I was informed that they don't take appointments for repairs; come in and the technician that did it will fix it for you.I said what if she's not there when I come in they said talk with the manager. When I walked in The tech at the desk was doing nails for someone and she asked me what color I had. I took a moment to find it. Then the owner came over to give me a curt and condescending explanation of how they only guarantee their work for a few days. He explained that we don't know what you are doing with your nails. I reminded him that I was out of town. I also asked him about the LED light that was used. The company that pioneered this product does not use LED lights. The owner continued in his curt tone to explain that his techs are all independent contractors (which I know is common) and they all do it differently. The bottom line is obviously with everyone doing it differently there is no real process for this and there should be since mine didn't last even a few days and barely a week on one nail. The great news is there are many salons to choose from! Choose a different one with an owner who thinks he can talk to any customer in a condescending manner. If when I called and I was told that I'm sorry there is nothing we can do, I would not have wasted my time going in for the repair and having to listen to this guy. -- In response to your response below -- Hai --When I called it would have been nice if I was informed by simply saying I'm sorry we are not able to do the repair of your nail; I would not have wasted my time coming in and once I did it would've been nice if then instead of giving me a 15 minute condescending explanation - a simple - my apologies that my technician did not give you the right information when you called and unfortunately I am not able to do the repair - and be done with it PS Last night another nail chipped completely - lifted off - and I had it repaired by another local salon! I'm a few weeks late because I honestly got too busy to warn fellow yelpers until I just went to a different nail salon to get my nails done today and reminded me to share my experience. Ever since the new ownership took over from the original nails now, this location isn't the same. I'm sure most people like myself go in to get our nails done and relax. Unfortunately that's not the case at the new nails now 1. The lady who "greeted" me was so beyond rude that not only my jaw hit the floor but other people who were waiting even commented (on my way out) that it was 100% uncalled for. So I walked out an found a mew nail salon. If you read other reviews there are so many that talk about how rude the new owners are. I love this place! I have recently got into having my nails done (New mom, who needs a mommy break). I have tried multiple salons to compare price, quality, atmosphere, etc. This my new favorite place. I saw online all the fun and artistic nails done by Tommy & Michelle. (Husband & wife) and wanted to try something fun. They did not disappoint! I got acrylic nails with no chip gel manicure and light pink marble design with white and silver. Went for the first time this weekend. FYI Sundays are walk-in only. This worked out great for me as I tend not to schedule ahead. When I arrived there was no wait. The salon is modern, clean, beautiful! Each pedicure station has an iPad with some older magazines, iBooks, movies etc. I was very happy with both the pedi and gel mani. Apparently there are new owners, and a Tommy and Michelle they are not. They are literally the most unprofessional, impatient, rude people, I don't know how they keep clients. As I was reading some of the other reviews you'd think they would learn from their mistakes, but the owner goes one more step and replies to these reviews calling women the derogatory, misogynistic "Karen" to any reviews he's doesn't like. Steer clear of this place. **The owner replied calling me a "Karen" even though I explained its a derogatory title to attach to women (he proved his ignorance against women...again), so clearly they have not really read their past reviews and think about how they can do better. Plain and simple the owners are wildly unprofessional and from what I read disappoint many patrons. I've never heard of a business needing a stamp of approval on customers that come into their shop. Keeps rolling downhill I needed acrylics done last minute around Christmas, my go-to place (Hot Nails) was booked so I thought I'd give Nails Now another try. * Smallest selection of colors. Literally just a little book to look at. * I told them I wanted a full set of acrylics. The guy told me that acrylics are gel nails. I told him I didn't want gel I wanted acrylics. We proceeded to debate this issue for the next ten minutes and it ended with me asking for him to show me the tools and process - turns out they call acrylic nails with no chip polish gel nails now. THE MAN WOULD NOT LET THE TECH START MY NAILS UNTIL I AGREED TO SAY I WANTED GEL NAILS lol ‍ * Tech was an older man who did not speak (or seem to understand) English very well. I showed him pictures on my phone of what I wanted, asked for suggestions on polish selection - he just kept muttering stuff like "what do you think?" "This is gold glitter". Umm thanks for your help. * End result was nails were longer than what I asked for, shape was wrong, color was the wrong green, glitter was slapped on and overloaded. This place is so friendly and clean! First salon I've ever been to with iPads at pedicure chairs. Fancy! I came here on an emergency need for a manicure before a wedding. They were packed, but nice enough to fit me in. Plenty of staff to accommodate, in my opinion, which for a weekend is great. And I believe they have 6 pedi chairs, so they can churn people in and out if they need to! My only criticism is my polish peeled off in large pieces after about two days. I have been a customer to this nails place for over 14 years...and I was extremely shock with owner Tommy ( Michelle's husband) rude attitude today. As a loyal customer for so many years I made a call to see why my daughter was charged an additional $5.00 to get a removal of her gel nail polish (which every other place that I know of including themselves have charged only $5.00). He was extremly rude, disrespectful and not letting me speak and hung up the phone before letting me talk. Well Nails now... and Tommy, I feel very sorry for you and I will make sure all my friends who I have referred to you to STOP coming to your business . Not sure how this place has so many 5 stars... walked in and it was empty that should have been my first warning sign. But hey I'll give it a chance. The pedicure chairs were extremely crowded and i literally felt like i was sitting on top of the person next to me. All that aside my nail tech seemed irritated before i even sat down. Super aggressive and half assed. The massage was painful and the whole pedicure took maybe 10 minutes lmao what a joke. I am from out of town and the normal place i go to when I'm in town was booked. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone. Walked in at 1:50 was done at 2:07. The longest part was sitting 10 minutes to dry lol and after being sat down my nail tech rushed out....AVOID AT ALL COSTS Oh and still had to pay. Avoid this salon at all costs. The nail techs are rude and act like they cannot understand you all of the time. The first time in the salon I opted for dipping to which they informed me it would be $80 and did not include a manicure, What?! The second time I got a gel manicure and within one week my nails were chipped badly, some were broken down beyond the quick and they were shredding like wet tissue paper. My nails are strong and I have never had anything like this happen. I also got a fungus infection in two nails. The salon was not very clean and the owners act like you are annoying them. I wasn't even sure if I should do this review due to the history of reviewers being challenged (which, technically, is fair game). Although, YELP is feedback. So, here's mine: Nails Now gave me a good no chip manicure and pedicure the two times I went. The quality of the manicure and pedicure, I liked. I had an appointment both times. The second time I went a nail chipped within 30 min of leaving. (I left, went home, was cooking and looked down and chipped paint). They welcomed me back in to fix it and I went right back that evening. I appreciated that. After making a third appointment, I had to cancel because of an unforeseen circumstance. I had an early morning appointment (at opening) and called multiple times before to let them know I couldn't make it. They weren't answering, and potentially not there due to the appointment being at opening. Yet once I did get ahold of them (5 min post opening) was met with a condescending conversation of how I should have let them know sooner. Sadly, I expected this...despite my efforts. Similar to other people's reviews I have experienced both excellent manicures/pedicures and witnessed unprofessional practices of discussing clients to other clients. While I respect a desire to facilitate a well-run business that supports your workers; it is no longer reputable if clients are having vastly different experiences or feel uncomfortable if they're unexpectedly late/need to cancel/or are seeking repair. read more

I have been going to this salon for almost 20 years. Since January 2019, the new owners have taken over. I sit soaking my nails and can hear the male owner talking nasty about clients that have just left the place. My daughter was treated like crap after she went back after her no chip chipped after two days. This is a college girl, who was home on vacation. And did nothing strenuous with her hands. Owner was rude and said they don't back their services after you leave. Noticed new customer service policies posted...which favor the business.i have witnessed them be rude to other customers. I went here for my first time a couple weeks ago looking for a nail salon to go to regularly and really enjoyed my experience. The owner of the place had done my full set of gel acrylics and they were beautiful. While getting my nails done the owner told me about the work and compassion he puts into the salon as well as some interesting stories, it was a pleasure conversing with him. I was in town last month having lunch with some girlfriends and decided last minute to get pedicures. Called the salon and asked if they could accommodate 3 people for a pedicure in 30 minutes. We arrived 30 minutes later and was in the pedicure chairs in less than 5 minutes. They handed us brochures of the different pedicures they offered. I don't know about you but I'm a go big or go home type of gal, so we got the bridal bouquet deluxe! I can't even begin to describe this pedicure, it's just something you have to come in and try yourself. The staff were soo nice and the upkeep on the salon was impeccable. I'm a huge clean freak and dirty salons give me anxiety. Happy to say i felt nothing short of relaxed and refreshed. We need more salons like this in my area! I'm very disappointed in this nail salon. I've been here a few times to get acrylic nails done and every time I come, a nail chips or breaks within days of having them done. I pay around $70-$100 with tip to get my nails done every 2 weeks. I just got a new full set on Friday and one nail chipped (even though I have the no chip and paid extra for it) and one nail broke entirely. Not only that, but when I called to make the appointment and told them I would like designs, my nail tech complained about the designs I chose. Now, if I'm paying $60 for my nails and tipping $15-$20, please don't complain. I will not be back to this salon and will now be paying extra to get my nails fixed elsewhere. The last time I had them fix my nails, I had to go back 4 times in one week. I do not recommend this salon to anyone who wants it done the right way the first time. I asked her to make an appointment for me 2 weeks from that day I was there. She made it for the following week (1 week). She acted odd, when I asked for an appointment card. I needed my nails done asap so I came into this place as I had heard decent reviews. I got a pedi and a no chip mani. The girl who did my pedi was decent. The pedi wasn't anything out of ordinary. They don't use warm towels like other places. I asked for the grater on my heals she refused to use it. Said I didn't need it that I just had dry heals. I said I have gotten pedis before and if they don't use the grater my heels are all rough. She continued to say you didn't need. So I left it at that. She was done with pedi probably within 15 minutes. Shortage pedi of my life. Then I got a no chip mani. The tech who did my no chip mani was way more personable! She was nice asked if I had a special occasion and she was talking to me about her life and kids. She was a sweet lady. I would think no chip would last longer then a week. Nope!! So original post had 2 stars. I called nail salon to explain how it's only been a week and my nails are completely chipped. The owner answered the phone told me that I needed to go into the salon and talk to the tech who did my nails. That she could do nothing. She was just the middle man. I said but how long is your "no-chip" supposed to last she said we don't do no chip here. It's called Gel nails. I said well I was never advised that. Why would you ask customers to choose color if you're going to say crap about it? As soon as I sat down, she asked whether I get my nails done often. (I can't because of my job.) "I can see that, nobody would choose that color. Why don't you take care of yourself more, your husband's going to love it." That's exactly what she said.
