Kathy is the best person for eyebrows! She takes her time and makes sure that they look great! I have only had my nails done here once and they lasted me about 3 weeks. They really took their time and were extra careful and detailed. The final outcome was wonderful! I loved my nails and they lasted a long time. This salon in the best! I've been going to Kathy for about 3 years now, followed her all the way from Montrose where she worked at another salon. She takes her time and is very efficient. I am very picky with my nails, never been disappointed with my manicures! The gel manicure lasts about 3-4 weeks, you get your money's worth! read more

My first & last visit here...I've already had 2 nails break & its only been a week since getting them done. The first nail broke within 3 days, the 2nd nail broke 4days later. And I've never seen a medicine measurement cup be used for the acrylic nail liquid & for the acetone? Tools/supplies weren't the best, Lil nail files that looked for Lil girl nails. And being asked to give a review on yelp? I've never had to be asked to do from any other place I've been. I don't know why this place says it closes at 7 when I got here at 6:15 and they told me to come back the next day bc it was too late ?? Lady had the nerve to ask if I wanted her to write my name down for the following day , obviously they don't need the business since they're turning customers away, I was skeptical about even returning before this because when I would walk in on prior occasions they just have you standing there for like 5-10 minutes without asking what you're there for. I got a mani from Kathy and a pedi from Emily. They did an amazing job! They have reasonable prices and everyone was extremely friendly. I went on a Friday morning and they were already busy. It got packed closer to lunch so definitely make an appointment. I also accidentally chipped my nail and Kathy was able to fix it within a matter of minutes! I was recommended to this place by a friend. It is my first time getting my nails done here. I noticed the facility is clean and the service is very friendly. They sanitized the tools before working on my nails. They cleaned and reshaped my nails nicely before applying my favorite shade of nail polish. I am really happy with the services I received. After giving bew management a try 3x, I decided to write a review in regards to this place. To begin with, i am a patient who medicated for medicinal marijuana. One day i walked into the nail place without realizing i had smelled a bit like marijuana. Long story short, i was made to feel uncomfterable because of it. I understand they can refuse service at any given time so if it was a problem then they should have refused service from the get-go. The lady who did my nails went on to say " that's what happens when you smoke maryjane" in a way that made me feel totally uncomfortable. Despite this awful experience, I decided to give it another try. During my second visit, I got a French tip gel manicure. Towards the end I was told it was an ombre gel manicure and that it was $3 more ($28). I was bothered with the fact that this wasn't mentioned until the end especially because it wasn't on the menu!! I pointed out the flaw in the menu so I wasn't charged.... but still very unprofessional! Something else that I've noticed based on my past three visits was that if you say no to their massage chair they try to make your experience uncomfortable. And I mean in the way they position you as they work on your nails in a normal chair. My final straw was when I walked in in a hurry and had to get my gel manicure removed since it was cracking and my job is strict with nails so i needed them removed before going into work. I told the nail lady I only needed to remove the gel but she started to buff my nails and wanted to do a full-on nail manicure. I was extremely annoyed because I kept telling the lady "no". I finally got up and asked how much I owed them (thinking it would be $2 since that's what it says on the menu) boy was I wrong. Apparently, it's $2 to take off only when your getting a gel manicure which didn't make sense to me. It was vaguely written on the menu.... I was being charged $7! I hate writing bad reviews but I felt so uncomfortable during my last 3 visits. I mean, I am paying to have a relaxed time, to pamper myself and the last thing I want or need is bad vibes. read more

I've been to some pretty cheap salons. Let's be real we don't come for their work. The price draws us in. And today I just needed something quick and fast. Not exactly what I got here. I would not recommend this place by any means. I got a simple regular manicure and pedicure. Nothing fancy. No design. One color. Straight to the point. Somehow the lady who did it still managed to mess up. First I asked them for a regular pedicure and manicure. They end up sending me to the spa pedicure which was an additional $4. Trust me you want to save your money. It is nothing special at all. The lady showed very little effort to even want to do my nails. I told her to cut my toe nails because they needed it and she managed to do the bare minimum. I had to ask her twice to cut them and she seemed annoyed by my request. The pedicure took about 40 minutes. No regular pedicure should take that long. She wasn't doing anything special. She put zero effort in cutting my cuticles. Then she leaves doesn't tell me anything and I'm waiting in the chair for 5 minutes for her to tell me to go to another station for my manicure. This is where it went from bad to worst. I was so fed up by that point I asked for no nail polish because I saw the little effort to actually do a manicure. The device to cut my cuticles seemed so dull. She was tugging at them to remove them. Never have I had such a bad experience at a salon. $27 for a bad manicure and pedicure and some lady with a stank ass attitude. Please save your money and time. There's other cheap little salons that do a better job for the same price or cheaper. Also it looked like they don't clean their tools very well. I will be filing a complaint against this establishment with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. I highly advise to not give this salon any of your money. Plenty of cheap nail salons in the El Monte area. Go somewhere where they'll actually care about doing a decent job. Shit I know this isn't a Beverly Hills salon but I expect a little more than what I got. read more
