I really enjoyed my visit to the Chevy Chase location! As soon as I walked in, I got a warm greeting and had a relaxed moment to pick out my color -- no pressure at all. I settled into the waiting area, and then my manicurist came out herself to grab me and walk me to the pedicure seat. Once I sat down, I was offered something to drink (wine, latte, sparkling water, etc), which was a nice little touch. I got the gel speedy manicure and a Dazzle Dry pedicure, and she took her time and really took care with both. It came out to about $100, and usually I don't feel the service is up to the cost, but honestly I left feeling like that was money well spent -- the experience matched the price. I convinced my partner to get a mani/pedi, and Nail Saloon is right around the corner. He's never had one done, and to be frank, I think the only thing that got him through the door was the promise of a drink. The entire place was filled with female customers, which made my partner nervous. However, the staff were great. They made him comfortable, and the wine made him happy. They did a great job on both of us. Scheduling an appointment online beforehand was very easy, and the prices were reasonable for the neighborhood. read more

Worst pedicure of my life. The woman was so rough with the pumice stone, using it on the bony part of the ankle instead of the bottom of the feet as she should have, that she scraped the skin right off my ankle, and I could see blood. She didn't even apologize, and when I asked for a Bandaid, I got a blank stare. She apparently couldn't speak English. Then she slathered some cream on my foot that made it sting. Very painful. She didn't even bother giving me a foot massage, even to my other foot, which wasn't harmed. The fact that this place charges a premium for pedicures, just made the whole experience even more awful. This place just opened a few weeks ago and is a chain with a few other locations around the DC area. I dropped in for a mani pedi, but I would definitely recommend reservations. I've included photos of a before/after if my mani. My technician, Jessica (or was it Jennifer ) did a great job! They use a polish called dazzle which is like regular polish and doesn't need to be set like gel, but it seems better than regular polish. It's been 3 days so far and I don't have any chips or cracks. Usually with regular polish, I get chips the same day as I'm always washing dishes or typing on the computer. When I arrived the hostess was very friendly and she offered me a complimentary beverage. Everything was clean and bright. It was a great time and I can't wait to come back. read more

I absolutely love this place! Their service is always so great! Everybody has a smile. They are so clean and I feel so comfortable here! This is definitely my go to nail salon. Even if I need to bring my computer with me and do a bit of work, I am more than comfortable to do so while getting my toes done. They are a little pricey, but I definitely would pay for the experience. The only downfall they have is they don't have a lot of technicians who know how to do designs on nails so you must make an appointment and email the nail design or or you may not be able to get the design that you wish. read more

I've had overall ok experience here and have returned for dazzle dry. I went last week and my dazzle dry nails started just falling off the first day. They were not done correctly. I called to see if I could come back or get a credit. I was unable to come back the next day due to illness and they did not respond to my email or phone call. Waxer didn't communicate and over waxed- very uncommunicative and inapporiate. Women will not like this- it is unusually poor communication compared to the norm. Icky feeling. Don't go here. Waxer wore dirty gloves (multiple clients, opened door). Yuck! Manicure scraped and damaged my nails. Worst manicure I have ever had. To be fair, I think manicure depends on the person. I walked in... you will probably have better luck if you know who to ask for. Only go here if you are very assertive and are willing to proactively manage the details of your service.... in a very aggressive way to prevent harm. Very far cry for the luxury escape the website PR team promotes. I just don't know why you would pay high prices to do this- you could go anyway, for much lower prices and have the burden of managing service and cleanliness. I feel very yucky after being at this salon. I couldn't be less happy with the quality-.. but it's worse than that. The lack of communication and hygiene has me on edge. I would highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. To be fair... The store looks very clean and is nicely decorated. Parking is easy. Front desk is friendly. Won't be back. This is a new salon in my neighborhood I can walk too. I tried it for the first time on 3/09/24 and they are not ready for prime time in my experience. I went for a pedicure...place looks great, very clean, nice esthetics. Staff pleasant but very average...for Chevy Chase prices $$$. I was annoyed with NO Wi-Fi for full hour. The guy at the front desk put in the code in my phone...so it was correct, but for whatever reasons no Wi-Fi. I asked him to restart the router...and he said ok. Still no go. He shrugged and smiled, like not his problem. Plus, they have NO magazines. About 48 for pedi+ $5 for special nail polish + tip is about $65 for 45 min. I expect to have a great leg massage (did not) , WIFI and a few magazines to browse through and a pedi that will last at least 2-3 wks. Not too much to ask for $65. I'll go back to my regular nail place. read more

I used to love the Logan circle location and decided to try Chevy Chase because it's closer. I went last year and noticed they did not clean the bowls. Gross! I emailed them and I felt they brushed it off. I went on Thursday and a family of four got their feet done. They just removed the towels did not clean the bowls. The blue shower cap is not a protection against cleaning the bowls. Before I got my pedicure I asked them to clean the bowl. I'm never going back bc they don't take cleanliness to heart. I'm wondering if their cleanliness fell off once they started gel services. The service is too expensive to not clean the bowls after. read more

nail saloon chevy chase shopping center.... big big problem... come in with long nails, left with short. asked for soft square, got rounded. got 2nd technician got straight cut. had to change from French mani to regular. asked about growing my nails out... I dont speak English and don't understand. do you use an efile , didn't know what that was. pedicure done ok. mani... I need to go get this corrected elsewhere. this is not the place for me. too bad.
