Amazing beef brisket. This is one restaurant that is worth the drive to eat their sliced beef brisket. I am not a huge BBQ fan but their beef brisket is great. Went on the day they opened for lunch. By the time I arrived they were already out of a couple of items (understandable, it was busy!). The line moved well and the employees were friendly and attentive. Spent around $50 on 4 sandwiches, a little pricey for the amount of food received, but food quality was good. Being that my career and living are derived from customer service, the only thing I found a bit strange was that the person I presumed to be the proprietor or senior manager because of his attire and the fact he had been behind the counter, looked me straight in the eye as I walked out of the place with two bags of food and never even acknowledged me. There are few BBQ joints on this side of town, including some who've been on television shows. I have been disappointed by them all. This place did not disappoint. First Service. I came in holding a young child. They took my order in a speedy fashion and prepared it as I stood there. In less than two minutes I had paid and was handed my meal. As I went around the corner, the owner's wife began to help me assemble my sauces and put them in the bag as she knew I could not put down the boy. So, the service in my mind is top notch. Second, the BBQ. I attempt to smoke meats myself. Note the word attempt. I have been to a quite a few BBQ joints. His BBQ is in the top two in the city. And on this side of town, it's the best, hands down. Great smoke smell and flavor to the meats. The meat is soft and breaks apart easily. My order did not include an overly fatty piece, meaning the guy serving the meat understood his role in the BBQ joint. I had the Carolina coleslaw. It was obviously made by them. It was fresh, crunchy, and had the right amount of vinegar. The sauces were nice with mustard sauce and a hot sauce that I tried. I really liked the hot sauce. A thinner style sauce (which is the correct way to make BBQ sauce, not the think junk that's mass produced) with enough heat and sweetness to make it very enjoyable. Lastly the price. For the amount of work that goes into making BBQ anything in the $10-20 range is a good deal. I got a sandwich and drink for under $10. That my friends is a great price. Woooooo Doggies.....yall gotta try this place! I am from Texas and my wife is from North Carolina, so we are always searching out BBQ that meets our standards and this place did not disappoint. We ordered a pound of sliced brisket and a pound of pulled pork. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender and rivals any of my hometown favorites. They sliced it up with a nice mix of lean and fatty with a nice bark. The pork was equally impressive and the vinegar sauce is the authentic Carolina style my wife has been missing and craving. We did not try any sides this time (it's all about the meat with me and BBQ), but I definitely will when I return. Kudos to the pit master...i haven't found anyone in Phoenix that can smoke brisket like that! read more

First time! I ordered a two meat meal to-go. The hot links, pork, mac n cheese, baked beans and the corn muffin. I really enjoyed it. Everything was tasty. Both sweet and spicy sauces were delicious. I thought the corn muffin was a little lacking but that definitely isn't a dealbreaker for me. I am from the South so I am familiar with barbecue southern style. This was more like Texas to me. I have been coming into naked BBQ every Saturday after my sons football games for the last month or 2. You walk in, you get greeted, the smell is amazing. The owner and his wife are the friendliest people. The both come out and talk with the customers continually, making the dining experience a great one. All of the staff is just as friendly. The meat is always moist and tender. If you want something off menu they will work it in and not say no. I just recently discovered this gem....But I will be a customer for life after this afternoon. I stopped by to get food to take home, and when I tried to leave I discovered I had a dead battery. Then I discovered I had left my phone at home. I returned and asked to use their phone to call a taxi, and the young woman at the counter (Tara) offered to jump my car..Unfortunately, it didn't work...remember it was very HOT day...Tara let me use her phone to call a taxi....They whole crew was so nice to me as I waited for 50 minutes. By the time I got home, called a friend, bought a battery, and returned to my car, it was closing time at Naked BBQ..as I opened my hood, out comes Pablo, a very nice young man who had helped me earlier and he proceeded to install the new battery for me...This renews my faith in humanity, proving that most people are decent. Ordered 1/ 2lb brisket and 2 ribs only, I get a platter, so guy didn't even listen and there was no crowd! Wasn't offered pickles/onions so had to ask, should not have had to! Ask for extra char/bark, I get just regular slices, so again either didn't listen or cutter doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Then she went back to him saying I wanted lots of char, I then get a bite size piece! They also charged me for platter which was about $5 more than what I should have been charged for meat only, so I got less (1/3 lb) than what I ordered and was overcharged to boot! Manager did offer refund when I called, which he should have, but had I not noticed then would be screwed.I lived many yrs in TX and KC so I know BBQ. Taste is decent but not impressed much and employees had heads up asses. Will continue to drive farther to a REAL bbq joint-RUDYS in Chandler or Buckeye or Danky's. read more

Our favorite Barbecue place to go to in Phoenix. Hands down. We have tried sooooo many places & we never seem to be satisfied. Naked, because his BBQ really doesn't need any sauce. But when you try the sauce, it's to die for. We love the spicy bbq. The mustard to me is my next true love. And with the hot links? Forget about it. Nothing else in the world matters. The brisket melts in your mouth. It's hard to pick what you want. We've tried it. We loved it all. This place will not let you down. As far as customer service goes. We could tell you this much. Whether it's your first time or your 100th time there, Oren, his wife Marcy & his employees, they will all make you feel like you're family. We've seen great service like this only a number of times in my life. Lastly, our dreams finally came true a few weeks ago when they are now open for dinner on Friday & Saturday nights. It was hard for us because of our work schedules and we don't have to panic when 3 o clock come around and we're wondering if the meat ran out (They're open until the meat is gone). I'm not a BBQ fan, but the hubs is so we stopped in. Even I was impressed! I had a brisket sandwich and it was delicious. He had the pork which he also loved, but he favored my brisket. One of the things I appreciated the most was that it wasn't heavily smoked. (I don't care for that especially.) The sides were tasty as well, Mac n cheese and potato salad, and the homemade pickles also impressed! This is a little hole in the wall place with counter service and well worth a trip!
