We both agreed (along with my best friends) that the sweet corn matcha latte was PERFECT! We even convinced one of my friends to re-order it as it was absolutely delicious. They have a couple of pastries too and we always come back to the ham and cheese + everything/cream cheese croissant. Service: 10/10! We don't live in the area but we were planning to hike in Griffith and I'd heard great things about this place from a friend, so I'd wanted to try this place for awhile. Cute interior to grab a solo drink. The decorations are cute but there isn't much seating. The outdoor seating is a bit noisy as it on the sidewalk of a busy street. Drinks were ok, nothing special , the matcha however was bland and weak. I would not recommend the matcha here, opt for a coffee instead. read more

Picnic is 'holding its own' in an area of town long known for boutique and specialty coffee spots. I had the sense I was in Brooklyn, the square footage of the location is maximized by playful but not overwhelming interior design. The espresso is a rich roast, the matcha is perfect, the design and interior is primed and waiting for the socials-pix-closeups. So many flavors of specialty espresso drinks are offered-! I am tempted to return and try allllll the drinks, some of which are seasonal, so beware that your affections don't hold too tightly to a seasonal selection-! The music was a very current playlist of self-produced music artists- I recommend Shazam-ing some of these new tunes. The barista was expert level (Barista Champion, in my book), with perfectly crafted shots and specialty drinks. Perfect foam. Charming latte art. The pastry case = jewel case of earthly delights. Wait a minute, Picnic Coffee is really good lolol. I love exploring coffee shops, and Picnic Coffee is hitting the right notes. Although it's really small and has limited seating, this place is bomb. I've had this place saved, and I've been curious about their seasonal menu, like the Ube Vienna and Hojicha Vienna, but I decided to get what they are known for, their Signature Vienna, which I got with matcha and oat milk. I really appreciate that they have a vegan option and a vegan cream top because I am lactose intolerant. Picnic Coffee knows what's up because I'll go to different coffee shops and they don't have vegan cream tops and Picnic does! So I am going to round up to five stars. The service was good. Picnic Coffee is a new specialty coffee shop in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. They serve specialty grade coffee, teas and a premium matcha. This unit used to be another coffee (SOLID) shop a few years ago. Its interior is not very spacious, however, their tiny tables and chairs were perfectly placed on every corner of the coffee shop. Similarly, they have outdoor seats with view of Sunset blvd. It was my first time at Picnic and I was greeted by a male staff. I ordered a Cold Brew because the weather was pretty warm. I was impressed by the friendly service I received during my last visit, and while the interior of the cafe is small, they also have chairs set up on the sidewalk for seating. I've tried two of their speciality drinks and enjoyed them. The Spanish latte was not overly sugary while the Vienna's hint of sea salt added a nice contrast to the cream and the drink's inherent sweetness.
