I randomly ended up here while walking around the area after spotting a girl eating a sandwich that looked so good. I literally asked her where she got it from, and she said Be Bright Coffee. I actually had plans to try another spot, but after seeing that sandwich, my friend and I changed directions and came here instead. First off, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. We ordered a Vivid coffee and another coffee that I sadly can't remember the name of, but both were really good. The only thing I wish was better was the menu display. After ordering, I noticed someone else had this cute little tray with different mini coffees and I had no idea that was even an option. I definitely would've considered ordering that if it had been shown more clearly on the menu. Food-wise, we got the veggie sandwich and avocado toast. The veggie sandwich was DELICIOUS, super fresh, flavorful, and honestly the highlight for me. The avocado toast, on the other hand, was not my favorite. It was incredibly salty. My friend and I split it, and I'm honestly glad we did because it would've been too much for one person. The ambiance here is really cute and cozy. They have fun little knickknacks and items for sale, which made the place feel unique and inviting. I also loved that they had a small little kids' play area. I thought that was such a smart and funny idea imagine coming here as a parent, grabbing your coffee, and sending your kid off to the play corner... LOL Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely come back, especially for that veggie sandwich and the overall vibe.

    Gochujang Grilled Cheese

The staff here are incredibly friendly and clearly know their stuff. They gave me some excellent recommendations. I decided to get adventurous and ordered the Bright Flight, which is basically a sophisticated trio of an espresso, a cortado, and a white peach shrub. It's a literal roller coaster for your taste buds--one second you're having a serious moment with a high-end Gesha espresso, and the next you're sipping on sparkling drinking vinegar like a fancy 19th-century chemist. To keep things interesting, I paired it with the Gochujang Grilled Cheese, which features a sesame gochujang loaf and maple confit onions. It's crunchy, spicy, and savory enough to make me rethink every standard grilled cheese I've ever had. The interior of this shop is minimalist, managing to feel both incredibly sleek and surprisingly cozy at the same time. High ceilings and a bright, open layout give the room plenty of breathing space. One of the coolest features of this cafe is that it actually accommodates families by including a kids' play area in one corner. It's a genius move that allows parents to actually sit back and relax with their coffee while the little ones stay entertained. It is rare to find a spot that treats its brewing like a science but its guests like family. Between the high-end Gesha espresso and that addictive gochujang-infused cheese, I've officially been spoiled for regular coffee shops.

    Shoulda won first place IMO

Genuinely delicious coffee! We tried two specialty drinks (so sorry forgot to grab a pic of their specials) the flavors were so perfectly balanced. The earthiness of the coffee (without tasting burnt like many other places), creaminess of the milk and additional sweetness that was not overpowering. The staff team there are friendly and helpful in helping you make a choice. I was bummed i already had lunch as their food items sounded tasty too. The shop was cute and clean with a nice play area for the kids! Every area looked well tended to. Will definitely be stopping by again if I'm ever blessed by the street parking gods

Great place to stop for coffee! I live out of state and used to subscribe to their beans. Their beans are top quality, and they offer a variety of other drinks here. I also like how their space is kid-friendly and the staff is knowledgeable and kind.

    Vivid Cream Latte

Found this cute little cafe by chance and I'm in love. I got the vivid cream latte and it was absolutely delicious. I will say, the amount of brown sugar syrup at the bottom is a little much, no matter how I much I stirred, I couldn't get it to mix. I arrived just a little bit before it got really busy, a huge rush came through. There is limited seating if you plan on getting some work done. It's also on the louder side once it gets busy. If you're looking for a quiet place, I wouldn't really suggest this place unless you have really good noise-cancelling headphones. The wifi works great, I was there for about 2.5 hours and didn't experiencing any lag of any sort. They have a little play pen for children which was absolutely adorable. Parking, it's mainly metered parking on the street. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely grab another cup of coffee.

    Iced Matcha

I really enjoyed my iced matcha drink at this spot. Matcha was very flavourful, with a perfect balance of slightly bitter and sweet. Each sip was very refreshing. The spot itself has a clean, contemporary design with light-oak wooden finishes and they even have a small kids room behind a clear-glass partition wall. How cool is that!) And finally, the service was very friendly and efficient. Very happy I stopped by and I look forward to coming back!

    Iced Latte & Americano

Visited here after brunch and this place was packed! This shop definitely deserves more reviews based on how busy they are. There was quite a line when I came in, and the 3 employees were definitely grinding out those drinks (a few drinks did look a bit messy but lol). I ordered just the iced latte and americano and it was pretty standard. It was nice, although I would say their coffee is pretty mild, not very strong at all, but does the job. The cafe set up here is pretty cute! I can tell a lot of moms would probably enjoy this coffee shop a lot because they have a dedicated play space for kids. So that's pretty nice to enjoy your coffee and bring the kids here to play. I did like how they had local asian products to support small businesses as well.

So glad I stumbled across this lovely coffee shop in my neighborhood! The space is fittingly so bright and the staff so welcoming and warm, and I love that there's a kid friendly section too :) A good spot to get some work done. I got their vivid cream latte which a latte with brown sugar, cold foam, and cocoa powder! I was blown away by indeed how vivid and quality-tasting their coffee was. Parking is street parking or neighborhood.

Einspanner in front of the colorful café
    Rebecca T.

I stopped by Be Bright Coffee for a quick pick-me-up after the gym; I was lucky to get street parking right in front of the store. Barista was nice and allowed me to adjust my einspanner order. My drink had a solid coffee kick, but I wish it was creamier (as I'm more accustomed to creamy einspanners). Overall, it didn't blow me away, but it did the trick!

Latte, cappuccino, apple cheesecake danish, tomato pesto danish
    Sima A.

Service was great, the barista was super friendly and made sure I got to taste the beans I was looking into buying. The pesto tomato danish was very good exactly what I was hoping for. The latte with their "A City on a Hill" beans was great. Such a nice dark roast without the bitterness; almost like Turkish coffee. The shop itself has good seating and the vibes are very casual and calm. However, the bathroom was dirty and hardly usable.

    Black Sesame Mocha
    Michael W.

Came here after lunch on Saturday and got their fall specials - the Black Sesame Mocha. It was really good, not too sweet, and the black sesame flavor was definitely there. It also had black sesame crunchy bits in it which gave it an interesting texture for a mocha. Plus, the presentation and latte art was spot on, so pretty! Dogs were also allowed which was great as we had our dog with us. Will definitely be back to try their coffee/latte as the chocolate flavor in the mocha covered most of the coffee flavor.

Had the Pandan Ube in the matcha version and the latte version -- hands down amazing. The base matcha and latte is already sooo good that the added pandan ube foam is just the sprinkle on top. Staff is nice and very skilled baristas. Inside they have a little play pen for kids, a lot of seating for causal reading/studying, and area to chat with friends. Perfect for everyone. Parking is limited, need to find street parking.

Listed on "Food and Wine," as one of the top LA coffee restaurants for a reason! WOW! The AAPI Special heritage menu was exceptional!!! We tried the mitsugaru latte and the ultralight bean. The coffee had an incredible taste. The flavors shone through and enlightened the coffee. Honestly would love to visit every day! This place has cold foam down and on point! Such a beautiful sunlight cafe. Great service and wonderful staff.

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.
