Good Friend really impressed me with their dairy-free cold foam. I genuinely couldn't tell it wasn't made with dairy. The cold brew was smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced. I ordered the Mount Washington with orange syrup and a salted cream topping, and it's probably the best cold brew I've had in the city. They also got the details right: not too much ice, a generous serving, and every element worked together. Really cute spot I had seen from afar and wanted to check out! Cute interior and colour theme- employees are super friendly and it seemed to be busy with few tables avail. I Tried their strawberry matcha and it was good but a little sour (maybe the milk?). In any case I liked the salt cream top and it looked really cute. If one were to get it again, def ask for less ice. I gave it 3 stars bc the taste was fine, but having comparable matcha on the west side, was not prepared to pay $9+ for this one! Stopped by Good Friend Coffee for a quick coffee and bite to eat, and it was a solid experience overall. I visited on the Fourth of July, so it was a pretty relaxed atmosphere with no long line. I was able to find street parking easily, which was a nice bonus. The staff was polite and welcoming, and the café had plenty of seating available. There is also a single all-gender restroom that was clean and well maintained. I ordered an iced vanilla latte along with a ham and cheese croissant. The latte was smooth and flavorful, exactly what I was looking for. The only downside was the croissant, which was served cold because they either don't have an oven or it wasn't working during my visit. It was still tasty, but I think it would have been much better warmed up. Overall, this is a great neighborhood coffee shop with good drinks, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Not super impressed with this coffee shop, but my experience here wasn't bad. I visited this spot on a Saturday at noon and it was busy. However, after waiting a couple of minutes I was able to score a table with seats and an outlet. For drinks I got the Strawberry Matcha and it was alright. My favorite part about it was the cream top which tasted like strawberry ice cream. The matcha itself could've been stronger and it also tasted a bit watery. Mixing it with the cream top did help, but it did overpower the matcha flavor. However, the size and quality for $9.33 was not worth it. I can't help but compare it to Ondo Coffee nearby which has bigger drinks at better quality with lower prices. My least favorite part of the experience was the wifi. There is free wifi, but I could not connect to it so I had to use my personal hotspot to get some work done. I wouldn't recommend working/studying from a laptop here as the wifi is not reliable. I did like the open air concept of this cafe though. This would be a good spot for socializing. Overall, I wouldn't come back again. Walked down here after trying Courage's Bagels! Parking is difficult, which is typical for Silverlake. There is a good amount of tables inside for hanging out or studying. I got a large iced PBJ latte, I saw it was a popular latte that people get. The options are 12oz and 16oz (just more milk). After already placing my order, my bf got the Good Friend latte which I completely skipped over because I saw words like "condensed" and "cream top" which typically is a big no for me because I'm dairy-free. But! The one they have here is actually dairy-free. They use condensed OAT milk and a vegan cream top - amazing! I was bummed to have missed that because I totally would have ordered that for myself. The options for that one are 8oz and 12oz. When I first took a sip of mine, it completely reminded me of a classic PB&J! Such a fun idea. First time at Good Friend! Well worth the hype. I tried the Mount Washington and PBJ Latte. The Mount Washington is a very unique drink that has an orange syrup which is prominent in every sip. The PBJ Latte is exactly how it sounds; a PBJ sandwich in a latte. It did not disappoint and tasted just like a PBJ sandwich. Both these lattes are drinks I have never seen anywhere else , and that is what sets them apart. The service was amazing. I tried out this shop for the first time today because they had a special promo for free oatmilk drinks today. I ordered their signature pb&j latte and was left disappointed. Anyway, this cafe has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. They sell coffee bags, mugs, merch and pastries. Prices seem on the high end for commoners like myself. Finding street metered parking this early on a weekend was easy. However, on weekdays parking situation in this area is a challenge. Staff were okay and service was on point.
