Came by to try something a little different and ended up going with their pistachio frappe. I was really looking forward to that nutty, slightly earthy pistachio flavor. I even asked if they could adjust it (they added pistachio powder), but it still leaned more like a mocha to me. It also wasn't that light green color I usually associate with pistachio drinks, so it caught me a little off guard. Overall, it ended up being on the sweeter side. That said, the staff were genuinely kind and the space feels really inviting--somewhere you can actually sit and stay for a bit. There's plenty of seating, which I appreciate. Only downside is parking can be a little tough. Only meter parking but it's great for locals I'd still come back and look forward to trying other menu items like their horchata frappe and some of the bakery goods. read more

Low key and decently spacious coffee shop off of Sunset Blvd in Echo Park. I got an Americano on this visit, and it was quite good. The only disappointment was they didn't serve glassware for my to-stay order. They have a pastry case but no savory food as far as I could tell, which is a bit of a bummer. I'd definitely return though, as it's a good spot to work. Not 100% sure whether they offer WiFi since I hotspotted my laptop to my phone. read more

Went for a quick pick me up and appreciated the quick service. The coffees were delicious and coffee shop was nice and quiet for a Saturday afternoon. Both coffees were on the sweet side, but not too sweet. I personally love my sugar and sweet coffees so this was great. read more

Another coffee place that I love...although it is a chain... This location is on busy Alvarado and parking is difficult... A few weeks ago I was on my way to a Saturday training for work and, as I'm passing by, I spied an OPEN parking space! One u-turn later, I arrived. I adore horchata with coffee and theirs is wonderful. The strawberry tres leches muffins looked insanely delicious, so I got two of those - one for my co-worker and one for me. Great call. This location is in an old building, probably 20's or 30's - I love the tile work and the wrought iron stairs that go downstairs to an employee-only storeroom - kinda mysterious. Tierra Mia always has wonderful coffee, pastries and sweet employees. read more

Solid coffee place with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and they offer a variety of drink options. On my last visit I tried the strawberry matcha and I have to say it was extremely sweet. I also grease my husband's latte and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. read more

When arriving to Tierra Mia, you might find a parking spot out front, but most of the time its full because the coffee is SO GOOD! We don't mind walking a bit for this place! The baristas are always so nice and helpful. They also have your order out pretty fast! The coffee shop is a smaller place, with quite a few tables. There's always people coming and going so it shouldn't be too hard to find a place to relax. We ordered the Horchata Cold Brew and THIS COFFEE IS AMAZING. Hands down one of the best coffee shops we've been to! The price is average, and is relatable to Starbucks prices. They have a variety of fresh pastries to choose from, as well! If you're around the Echo Park area, and are looking for some good coffee, go check it out and make sure to order the Horchata Cold Brew. I promise it won't disappoint!! read more

Funny this Tierra Mia removed my review thinking I wouldn't repost my review. I had posted a review about a barista he kept getting my order wrong. First made the drink with little to no taste. Secondly made the drink as a coffee when I wanted a matcha. Barista then proceeded to say " I'm not I mind reader" when I had already told him what I wanted. It takes listening and common sense to get the order right. This location really needs to have associate focus on their craft with both customer service and bar basics. read more

This is such a lovely little shop! Their iced horchata latte is SO good, probably the best horchata latte I've ever had; It pairs perfectly with their warmed chocolate croissant! The baristas are always friendly and work fast. Whenever I'm in this area, I make it a point to grab a drink here! I park in the nearby residential area, and just take a little walk. If coffee is church, Tierra Mia in Echo Park is the cathedral. The horchata latte? Divine intervention. The pastries? A straight-up blessing. The baristas? Saints who deserve halos made of latte art. So why only 4 stars? Because you need divine luck to find parking anywhere near this place. Honestly, I circled the block so many times I started feeling like a NASCAR driver. By lap four, I was praying harder for a parking spot than for the caffeine I came for. Pro tip: bring a friend. One of you drives in circles while the other runs in to grab the drinks like it's a caffeine heist. All that said, once you finally get your hands on their coffee, the frustration melts away. Just... maybe don't check your gas tank afterward. read more

Adorable little coffee place that we found just walking by and drifting. Great little vibe on the inside, and lots of delicious pastries to choose from! We ordered a Matcha and an iced coffee and both were delicious. I do have to say I wish that someone would wipe down the tables a little faster so that customers don't have to bust their own tables from gross prior customers. read more

It's pretty much a tradition at this point that anytime we are in Cali we come to Tierra Mia Coffee shops. This time we came to the one in Echo Park. It's such a cute little coffee shop! It gives olden vibes. I always get the horchata latte and the tres leches muffin. It's amazing. The muffin is always the right level of moist. The service was great. Everyone was very sweet. I usually don't get frappes, but I was told their horchata frappe was really good so for this one time, I caved in. Boy, they were not lying, this frappe was SO GOOOD! it had really good sweetness (not overly sweet) and it still had a good/decent coffee taste to it as well, perfect balance :) the place has a minimal amount of indoor seating, but has pretty restrictive parking. I luckily had no problem finding street parking right in front of it (probably because I'm a weirdo that got coffee at 7pm at night lol), so I can just imagine that the morning is probably worse. read more

I'm usually here once or twice a week now. The coffee here is no longer as consistent as it once was. My coffee has tasted bitter and has not been blended well lately. I have to drive a good distance to come here, but it is no longer worth it. There have been new employees and it shows. It seems like they don't follow the recipes properly. That horchata frappe is what's up! Easy addictions. The service was okay, I came in and was ignored for a good min until I spoke up since I had ordered online and was there to pick up. Not many customers so maybe low staff? I don't know but the drink is what's bringing me back. Was going to knock off another star for that but I guess the drinks I've had here as well as their tres leches muffin( a delight) made me second guess and added that star back. Really hope this chain creates drive thru for us who are on the go and have a hard time getting parking. read more

Was in town and craving a latte as I passed by this small coffee store on my way back decided to give them a try away from my usual coffee in Los Angeles. You have try the Horchata Cold Brew. It comes with cold foam on top and is amazing. I live near by and have gone back 3x since I first tried. Definitely on the sweeter side. I've also tried the Horchata Latte but the cold brew is way better. My friend had the Blueberry Matcha - I tried it and it was very good too. I've also had the guava pastry here. It was good but I wouldn't go back for it. read more

Best coffee drinks created! Tired of the really sweet coffees. It has great menu selections and you can definitely taste the coffee flavor. Also when it's your first time they have friendly staff that also give you good recommendations. That's how I discovered the strawberry & cream for my son. The pastries never disappoint. The interior screams that Stagger really thought about both function and form; sitting may be a bit cramped at times, but it's K-town and foot traffic and visitor count is high. There's also some seating outdoors on the stone benches which can be nice until someone's smoking in the corridor. The iced latte? The first sips were good and bold, but this drink definitely felt more icy and watered down within 15 minutes. I'm not sure why but sip after sip, I felt less interested in drinking it. Perhaps I'll give this another try in the future, but for now this might be a one-time visit.

If that's the case, this is clearly something the business needs to address. Their Yelp listing is still directing customers to DoorDash, creating confusion about what they actually offer and where they can order from. Mistakes happen, but there was absolutely no reason for the front employee to be so dismissive or condescending when I was simply trying to order something that their own Yelp listing indicated was available. Updating the DoorDash information would be a good start, and so would treating customers with a little more courtesy.

The beef and asada empanadas disappeared embarrassingly fast. We probably should've ordered more. And can we take a moment to appreciate the parking lot? Finding parking in Silver Lake without circling the block 47 times feels like winning a small lottery. We had no trouble finding a spot. Come for the ube latte, stay for the ensaymada, and leave wondering why you didn't order a second empanada.

Today was the first time ever that their raggedy phone line wasn't busy and I was sooooo thrilled they answered only to get my expectations shattered by the girl on the phone who said they don't take phone orders what type of business doesn't allow phone orders during a pandemic. Nobody wants to be in there standing around ppl who aren't masked up smh two thumbs down! Stupid asf and the neighborhood is trash nothing but bums and drug addicts lingering around that street. Came for a 2nd coffee at 2pm before i hit the road and the dude was cleaning.. and then he went to serve my coffee.. and before he grabbed the lid i was hoping hed wash his hands but didnt .. grabbed all over my lid and the drinking area lol , i was like wth but i went back and reach over for my own after i washed my hands in the restroom.. Ive tasted horchata frap at mcdonalds, ive tasted it at starbucks and especially at starbucks i think it would taste the best but turns out mcdonalds was better! But then when i came here for a horchata frap it tops every place that even sells this drink. This place is the top contender in horchata frappes! it was only about $4 bux for one and i drank it slowly and enjoyed it! I went to this famous coffee shop after class. As I enter the place, I saw how clean and tidy it was. It had plenty of designs and styles that could capture my heart. Ohh, bland.... What a delish coffee I had last evening!!! This is the new place I have continued to go since 1 month. Very clean and modern decor. Coffee beans come from Colombia and may be this is the main reason being sweeter taste to it. Really very sweet and tasty. I stopped in for a coffee and WOW. The coffee comes from the best coffee regions of C and S America and is thoughtfully brewed. I sipped my 8 oz cappuccino and it was beyond good. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean and open. I appreciate that they pay reverence to where the coffee comes from and take pride in crafting fantastic coffee. Oh my goodness the coffee here is dank. I go for either the horchata latte (crack) or the cappuccino. I've had good parking luck here so can't complain about it. There's no wifi, but I like it better that way. People here actually talk to each other (what?).
