Came by to try something a little different and ended up going with their pistachio frappe. I was really looking forward to that nutty, slightly earthy pistachio flavor. I even asked if they could adjust it (they added pistachio powder), but it still leaned more like a mocha to me. It also wasn't that light green color I usually associate with pistachio drinks, so it caught me a little off guard. Overall, it ended up being on the sweeter side. That said, the staff were genuinely kind and the space feels really inviting--somewhere you can actually sit and stay for a bit. There's plenty of seating, which I appreciate. Only downside is parking can be a little tough. Only meter parking but it's great for locals I'd still come back and look forward to trying other menu items like their horchata frappe and some of the bakery goods. read more

Low key and decently spacious coffee shop off of Sunset Blvd in Echo Park. I got an Americano on this visit, and it was quite good. The only disappointment was they didn't serve glassware for my to-stay order. They have a pastry case but no savory food as far as I could tell, which is a bit of a bummer. I'd definitely return though, as it's a good spot to work. Not 100% sure whether they offer WiFi since I hotspotted my laptop to my phone. read more

Another coffee place that I love...although it is a chain... This location is on busy Alvarado and parking is difficult... A few weeks ago I was on my way to a Saturday training for work and, as I'm passing by, I spied an OPEN parking space! One u-turn later, I arrived. I adore horchata with coffee and theirs is wonderful. The strawberry tres leches muffins looked insanely delicious, so I got two of those - one for my co-worker and one for me. Great call. This location is in an old building, probably 20's or 30's - I love the tile work and the wrought iron stairs that go downstairs to an employee-only storeroom - kinda mysterious. Tierra Mia always has wonderful coffee, pastries and sweet employees. read more

Solid coffee place with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and they offer a variety of drink options. On my last visit I tried the strawberry matcha and I have to say it was extremely sweet. I also grease my husband's latte and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. read more

When arriving to Tierra Mia, you might find a parking spot out front, but most of the time its full because the coffee is SO GOOD! We don't mind walking a bit for this place! The baristas are always so nice and helpful. They also have your order out pretty fast! The coffee shop is a smaller place, with quite a few tables. There's always people coming and going so it shouldn't be too hard to find a place to relax. We ordered the Horchata Cold Brew and THIS COFFEE IS AMAZING. Hands down one of the best coffee shops we've been to! The price is average, and is relatable to Starbucks prices. They have a variety of fresh pastries to choose from, as well! If you're around the Echo Park area, and are looking for some good coffee, go check it out and make sure to order the Horchata Cold Brew. I promise it won't disappoint!! read more

This is such a lovely little shop! Their iced horchata latte is SO good, probably the best horchata latte I've ever had; It pairs perfectly with their warmed chocolate croissant! The baristas are always friendly and work fast. Whenever I'm in this area, I make it a point to grab a drink here! I park in the nearby residential area, and just take a little walk. If coffee is church, Tierra Mia in Echo Park is the cathedral. The horchata latte? Divine intervention. The pastries? A straight-up blessing. The baristas? Saints who deserve halos made of latte art. So why only 4 stars? Because you need divine luck to find parking anywhere near this place. Honestly, I circled the block so many times I started feeling like a NASCAR driver. By lap four, I was praying harder for a parking spot than for the caffeine I came for. Pro tip: bring a friend. One of you drives in circles while the other runs in to grab the drinks like it's a caffeine heist. All that said, once you finally get your hands on their coffee, the frustration melts away. Adorable little coffee place that we found just walking by and drifting. Great little vibe on the inside, and lots of delicious pastries to choose from! It's pretty much a tradition at this point that anytime we are in Cali we come to Tierra Mia Coffee shops. This time we came to the one in Echo Park. It's such a cute little coffee shop! It gives olden vibes. I always get the horchata latte and the tres leches muffin. It's amazing. The muffin is always the right level of moist. The service was great. Everyone was very sweet. I usually don't get frappes, but I was told their horchata frappe was really good so for this one time, I caved in. Boy, they were not lying, this frappe was SO GOOOD! it had really good sweetness (not overly sweet) and it still had a good/decent coffee taste to it as well, perfect balance :) the place has a minimal amount of indoor seating, but has pretty restrictive parking. I luckily had no problem finding street parking right in front of it (probably because I'm a weirdo that got coffee at 7pm at night lol), so I can just imagine that the morning is probably worse. read more

I'm usually here once or twice a week now. The coffee here is no longer as consistent as it once was. My coffee has tasted bitter and has not been blended well lately. I have to drive a good distance to come here, but it is no longer worth it. There have been new employees and it shows. It seems like they don't follow the recipes properly. That horchata frappe is what's up! Easy addictions. The service was okay, I came in and was ignored for a good min until I spoke up since I had ordered online and was there to pick up. Not many customers so maybe low staff? I don't know but the drink is what's bringing me back. Was going to knock off another star for that but I guess the drinks I've had here as well as their tres leches muffin( a delight) made me second guess and added that star back. Really hope this chain creates drive thru for us who are on the go and have a hard time getting parking. read more

You have try the Horchata Cold Brew. It comes with cold foam on top and is amazing. I live near by and have gone back 3x since I first tried. Definitely on the sweeter side. I've also tried the Horchata Latte but the cold brew is way better. My friend had the Blueberry Matcha - I tried it and it was very good too. I've also had the guava pastry here. It was good but I wouldn't go back for it. read more

I am always in search of a good pistachio coffee drink, which is hard to come by but let me just say their pistachio cold brew with oat milk did not let me down! So delicious! I would be in trouble if I lived in the area. The staff were super nice and friendly. I just grabbed and went but the inside was cute and spacious. There is also a small outdoor seating area . I would have the horchata latte with oat milk every single day from when I open my eyes until when I close them if it was up to me. The tres leches muffin and cinnamon muffin combo is the best sweet treat. The service is always welcoming and friendly. I'm going to definitely come by more to read, journal, and do some laptop work since the ambiance is grounding. Best spot for catching up with a friend or bringing a friend who's visiting as well. read more

Super cute coffee shop! Service was fast and the coffee was delicious. I got a plain ol' cup of coffee and a strawberry tres leches muffin. The muffin was amazing! Really moist and the strawberry on top gave it a great little pop of sweetness. This shop would be a great place to meet up with friends or bring a book. It's very bright and minimalistic inside so it has a very calming vibe. I love all of the old photographs on the walls of people harvesting the coffee beans. This place has history! There is also a couple tables outside for seating. This shop is just up the street from Echo Park lake, so you can grab a coffee and then head down to the park. Metered parking only. read more

The prices and freshness are fantastic. I expected to pay more than what we did and these are reasonably priced. There isn't really a lot of parking so be prepared to park elsewhere. The inside is small and fills up fast and there isn't much seating inside or out. They have other things like matcha and other items as well. I encourage you to try a few items as some were better than others, but I have no major complaints!

Their curry breads are good too. I took my daughter here and she got one with cute emoji drawn on, and she said the custard filling and the bread was tasty as well. I've tried some drinks here and they were alright. A friend was into their banana matcha when they have that in stock. Pretty simple layout here. Get in line and see the goods, then you reach the cashier and order and pay.

If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be. This is like calling a cut of meat a filet mignon and serving a hamburger. Von's, Ralphs and Albertson's make better cupcakes than this for a fraction of othe price.

Came for a 2nd coffee at 2pm before i hit the road and the dude was cleaning.. and then he went to serve my coffee.. and before he grabbed the lid i was hoping hed wash his hands but didnt .. grabbed all over my lid and the drinking area lol , i was like wth but i went back and reach over for my own after i washed my hands in the restroom.. I went to this famous coffee shop after class. As I enter the place, I saw how clean and tidy it was. It had plenty of designs and styles that could capture my heart. Coffee beans come from Colombia and may be this is the main reason being sweeter taste to it. Really very sweet and tasty. I stopped in for a coffee and WOW. The coffee comes from the best coffee regions of C and S America and is thoughtfully brewed. I sipped my 8 oz cappuccino and it was beyond good. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean and open. I appreciate that they pay reverence to where the coffee comes from and take pride in crafting fantastic coffee. There's no wifi, but I like it better that way. People here actually talk to each other (what?). We got the following drinks: HOJICHA LATTE CHOCOLATE HOJICHA DREAM Hojicha, apparently, is, smoked green tea, very tasty. I know that Silverlake has been gentrified, but the prices were still pretty shocking ($8 for a latte...$7 for a donut!)... thankfully they have a 50% Off happy hour for dessert. Not sure if you'll walk the eight fold path to nirvana, but you'll have a pleasant, caffeine-fueled afternoon...

I'm not quite sure. The gingerbread cookie with tons of white chocolate chips was pretty tasty. Crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy inside. Has a slightly fragrant ginger flavor. Semi melted chocolate chips inside. I would have preferred little less chocolate chips, but just my preference. Otherwise, 4/5 yummy cookie, I recommend!

The inside seating isn't super comfortable but there are additional tables outside in front of their retail store, which is ideal on a nice day. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. There are some pastries for sale but no real substantial savory food items. Nonetheless, it's a go-to for me.

As it cooled, some pleasant citrus notes started to come through and the drink became more enjoyable. Overall, a solid coffee shop with great atmosphere. I enjoyed the experience, but I think better milk integration and a more appropriate serving temperature would have elevated the cortado quite a bit.

Since I don't buy coffee very often, $6 felt a little pricey to me--but I don't have much to compare it to. That's the only reason I'm giving it a 4.5 instead of a perfect 5. Overall, I'd absolutely come back for the relaxing atmosphere. It's a great place to work, read, catch up with a friend, or simply enjoy a peaceful morning. You order at the window, grab your drink, and then settle into the patio like you've made a very good life decision. For me, this is one of the better work-friendly coffee spots in the area. The patio is actually pleasant to hang out in, not one of those "technically there are chairs outside" situations. It has enough space and enough of a neighborhood feel that you can post up for a while without feeling rushed or wedged into somebody else's elbow. The coffee is consistently good, and I almost always get the Iced Cafecito. It's the drink that keeps me coming back: easy to crave, easy to justify, and somehow always exactly what I wanted. Not every longtime favorite survives repeated visits, but this one does. A reliable Silver Lake staple for good coffee, a nice patio, and low-key great sit-and-work energy.

I stopped by early in the morning and ordered the Magic Latte--it reminded me of a vanilla latte but with a generous cinnamon kick. Since I arrived right after opening, finding street parking wasn't an issue. If you're visiting later in the day, parking may take a little more patience. The café has plenty of seating, making it a nice place to catch up with a friend or get some work done. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely come back to try more of their drinks.
