    Honey Garlic Chicken

Called and ordered takeout and order was ready in 25 minutes. You can't eat there FYI. I got the Beef Rice Noodle bowl and it was good but I liked their Pho that I got last time more. My friend got the honey garlic chicken and was expecting it to be deep friend as the last chicken dish you got from here was not.

It was really easy to find this place. My friend and I were in an area and I've had this place bookmarked for a minute. We read a few reviews and decided to give it a try. We ordered a bunch of different items to try out. Fried won tons, very good 5/5, crab Rangoon 4/5, potstickers (I didn't try these) I got the Mongolian beef, it's good but beware it does have mushrooms in it and it wasn't spicy at all. In fact I didn't see any peppers at all. Decent flavor but too bland for me 3/5. I got the summer rolls with grilled pork, I would give them a 3/5 as they are filled mostly with rice noodles, next time I would try the ones with shrimp and pork. I also wanted to try banh mi as I haven't been able to get a decent sandwich since leaving California. Flavor wise it's a 3.5/5 the bun is almost like a hoagie roll and too thick for this type of sandwich. The daicon and carrots are usually marinated in a vinaigrette type sauce, these aren't. The pork is tasty tho. I just don't like the bread to filling ratio, in California the banh mi sandwiches are usually made with baguettes. Overall I would return and try other dishes and will definitely come to get the won tons. While it is a large restaurant, they have take out only. Next time I'm in the area I'll be stopping in.

Was visiting a friend at a local hospital and decided to look for a new Chinese food place. The food at Nam Wah was amazing, best I have found so far in the area. Walked in and the place was large however they are strictly take out only. There was only one lady handing the orders and she took our order and made some suggestions. We ordered a variety of items starting with fried wonton, potstickers, crab ragoons and pork summer rolls. Also ordered the Mongolian beef and cashew chicken entrees. After my 30 min drive home, I'm happy to report the food was still very hot. The fried items were still crispy and crunchy. Breaking down each item, the fried wontons were a little overdone for my preference, also to the point of too cooked, they tasted good but just too hard on the outside. The crab ragoons were full of filling that was creamy compared to the crunchy outside and the homemade duck since was delicious. The potstickers also had a sufficient amount of filling and were steamed and then pan friend for that perfect kiss. The cashew chicken was delicious, it had a lot of cashews which I loved as some places barely add any to the top and a goo ratio of veggies to chicken. My friend had the Mongolian beef and summer rolls and they also looked delicious.

    Banh mi was arranged beautifully

I was driving through the area and was in need of banh mi and my search brought me to Nam Wah. Located in a strip mall, this place is takeout only despite a large, roped off interior. My deli banh mi was warm, arranged beautifully, and completely hit the spot. Would go back.

Tried Nam Wah tonight for the first time. The restaurant is currently only open for take out. However, the dining room is large and spacious. The crab rangoons were delicious and came with sweet and sour sauce. The sesame chicken was my least favorite as it seemed overcooked and lacked flavor. Mongolian beef was okay, but not nearly as good as PF Chang's. Honey garlic shrimp was absolutely delicious. The sauce was thin and full of flavor.

What impressed me the most you may ask? After the waitress took our order for drinks, the server came right after to take our orders. After he took the order he asked us if anyone had any known food allergies that they need to be concerned about. In fact there was someone with food allergies (me)! So we went over my allergies and I am so happy he did. I have to eat very simple and they made my pork fried rice taste so special. They left all ingredients out that would not be good for me. I had ordered an egg roll and later he told me that it may not be good for me, so he didn't serve it. Thank you so much for looking out for your customers health and best interest. My husband was raving on how tasty his sweet & sour pork tasted. It did look and smell really good. Great sized portions. This place honestly is a diamond in the rough. Next store to it is a hardware or lawn and garden store (unsure). On the other side is a Dollar General. It seems to be squeezed in the middle. From the outside it looks small. Inside is pretty roomy. I can see myself having a family dinner there very comfortably. They have a bar as well as tv's at the bar. They were watching the Browns game. The background music was modern. My one small observation, the bathroom should be spruced up just a little bit. Other than that great people, lovely happy smiles. I am so appreciative of their extra attention to detail when patrons place their orders. Hopefully we will see the restaurant with more people and it flourishes.

In addition to noodles, the lunch special came with your choice of soup, a spring roll, or 2 crab rangoon. I opted for the crab rangoon. I also ordered 2 dim sum dishes - the shrimp dumplings ($6.50) and snow mountain lava buns ($6.50). The crab rangoon came out first, and they were delicious, hot, and crispy. Then I got the dan dan noodles. The noodles had a bit of a kick, but they weren't overwhelmingly spicy. They had a nice chew, and I slurped them up happily. I just wish there were more noodles lol, but the portions were pretty typical for dan dan noodles at Greater Cleveland restaurants. The dim sum was great. The shrimp dumplings were tender and juicy, and the buns were so fluffy. Be careful eating them though, or you might get hot, delicious egg goo all over your hands, lol. The staff is very no-nonsense. The service was efficient, and I made it in time for my Red Cross appointment. Note - the restrooms are super clean and even smell nice!

**This review is based on a pick-up order.**…read more I called in this order, and the lady who took the call was quick and polite. Plus, the order was correct, so she was accurate too. Always a good thing. The food, however, was a mixed bag. First, I ordered beef and snow peas (I asked for it to be spicy), and the dish was among the best I've had in a long time. The peas were crunchy; the beef was melty; and the sauce was rich -- and spicy, just as I requested. Because I don't eat a ton, I ordered the upgrade (to fried rice, wonton soup and an egg roll) to share. Meh. The broth was nice, but there really weren't wontons in it. Rather, they were ribbons of way overcooked pasta. Not a deal-breaker, but nothing memorable. The egg roll was the typical freezer-to-fryer variety. Not terrible, but hardly plump and definitely not rolled in-house like the good ol' days. Finally, the fried rice is missing something. Not only do I believe that it was never cooked in a wok, but it also had a scant flavor of sesame oil and little else. I'm not usually one to tell people how to do their business. This time is different though, since I am not the only one to mention the bland 'fried' rice here. Use some soy sauce. Use the wok -- and not the microwave. And perhaps, use an egg and a little garlic. But hey! These guys have been in business for a minute, so we 'fried' rice detractors must be in the minority. All of that to say, this place does an outstanding job with the beef and snow peas. But next time -- if there is a next time (I live in Houston) -- I'll ask for the steamed rice and dress it myself.

All warned of the spice levels being REAL. I heeded caution while my mouth is not weak. A must, I got pad thai with chicken (any thai place that messes this up gets written off for me), pad woon sen with chicken, both at the base level spice, and their crab rangoon. I will preface that I did takeout and drove 20 mins home before I ate BUT considering that the food, the food was still hot and delicious. The pad thai had plenty of flavor, fresh veggies and green onions and the right sauce-you could taste the tamarind. The pad woon sen, while not what I'm used to with a darker sauce was delicious and had great spice, perfect sauce to coat all the goods and flavor. The crab rangoon comes in a spring roll form...which I'm not mad at but did make me want more filling to match the extra wrapper. The wrapper is also a different type of fried crunch that doesn't do the same as a wonton but again a vehicle, nonetheless. I definitely have it on my radar for the next time I'm in Strongsville. Small place in an unsuspecting plaza, which is always good, very little tables inside and a little on the dark side ambiance wise. But I don't care when the food lives up to it. If you're looking for flavor, you can't go wrong even on the mild end of the spice spectrum. Don't burn your mouth and miss the chance at tasting the authenticity.
