Be aware. Don't be misled when they tell you they can get you an early appointment. If you end up not being able to go, they will still charge you. They will ask you to sign a document, and I strongly suggest refusing to sign it. The purpose is not really to care about your health, but to make it impossible for you to refuse their fee if you cannot make it to the appointment on time. They will text you and call you, saying that because you signed before, you now have to pay. This business does not care about its customers or service quality -- they only care about getting your money. read more

I have been going to Nami's skin Care and Electrolysis for at least 4-5 years. I was tired of waxing and shaving my legs. I initially started with my face, then my bikini line, underarms and lastly my legs. I was going often.....maybe 2-3 times a week. I was so pleased with the results and currently I continue going, but now I only go about 2 times a month. I love not shaving and all the itching that goes along with it especially if you go to the beach and swim in the salty water. After these regular treatments my body is pretty much clean of hair. I have been coming to Nami's Salon for a year and a half, since November 2019. I had laser done many years ago on my face, bikini area and my underarms. Then I had laser done again and again on my face with different Dr's, dermatologists and at facial salons. The laser on my face never worked. As I aged the hairs on my face turned white and course. I caused some scarring trying to remove the ingrown hairs I acquired on my chin and upper lip. My face was a mess. I decided to try electrolysis and I met Nami. Since I have been receiving electrolysis with Nami cannot believe the improvement in my complexion . I don't wear makeup anymore. Nami removed all of the unwanted facial hair I had. My pores are not visible now and I feel so much more confident in my appearance. Although I am getting older I love wearing shorts and going to the beach. After seeing how my face responded to electrolysis I decided to have Nami remove the hair from my legs. I have continued to see her and I can honestly say I haven't shaved my legs in over a year. I don't get little red bumps on my legs that I itch after shaving until my legs bleed anymore. During the Covid pandemic when I could not go to the salon, I communicated with Nami by texting. She encouraged me not to shave or tweeze as the hair would come back more course and there would be more of it. Nami is so professional and the best at what she does. My niece had the same problem with her face as I did, except she's at least 20 years younger. We are middle eastern and both of us needed to do something about the facial hair. I had a flare up/ irritation after I used too many new active ingredients to my routine. Clean facility and friendly staff but I was really disappointed with the electrolysis. Extremely, slow and inefficient electrolysis. She kept going over the same hair 4-5 times. I understand as a new client they start at a low intensity, but if you're seeing the hair is not being removed and my pain tolerance can handle a higher level, then you should increase. She only increases the level because I asked her to after watching her attempt 4-5 times to remove a single hair. When you're being charged by the minute, that is extremely inefficient. She removed the same amount of hair in 15 minutes that my previous esthetician could remove in 5. I cut the appointment short to 15 and she tried to charge me for 20. Don't recommend for electrolysis but perhaps other services are better read more

I booked an acne facial which is one price and was given a different facial which was almost double the price of what I booked. I wasn't notified of the price difference which I think is extremely unprofessional. I paid it without a problem but will not be returning. When spending $170 for a facial the least that could've been offered was a skin care regimen which is really what I was looking forward to. Went in for some electrolysis and the experience was meh. Booking was a bit of a hassle because I originally an appointment scheduled and had to cancel due to an unforeseen circumstance and then when I called in couple days later I was told they were no longer accepting people. I was like I literally booked last week and it has now become so busy you can't take me? They begrudgingly agree to see me.... I come in for my appointment and the electrologist (forget her name) was SUPER nice and sweet. My only complaint was that she was slow. I booked 30 minutes and she could do maybe 1/4 of my face? My last electrologist in the east coast was super efficient and could do my entire face in the same time. Don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I waited till after my 3rd visit to write this to be sure it wasn't a one off experience. I've been getting electrolysis for 5 years with various technicians in various cities/countries. This specific experience I know for a fact is caused by the fact that they are not qualified or simply very unexperienced in electrolysis which is not acceptable. I also want to preempt this by saying I work in this field, teach about hair cycles and am very well versed in hair cycles/growth phases. - First visit, they forgot my appointment that I had confirmation of. I left work early to be there and when i showed up they just said sorry, we didn't have you in the schedule. No real apology or any type of attempt to rectify my wasted time. - Second visit, i felt like something was off, but again, gave it the benefit of the doubt. None of the hairs were coming out, it seemed like she kept missing them which absolutely should not be happening. I spent an hour there and she MAYBE got 5-10 hairs total. - Third visit, today, was a disaster. 98% of hair she tried to pull out after electrolysis wouldn't budge. She was missing basically all of them. I kept asking her whats going on and she told me they are all old hairs and some other nonesense. Not knowing i guess, that I study hair cycles for a living. When i told her i got waxed 4 weeks ago, and that all the hair is new and in anagen phase and that it's impossible for ALL hairs to be in catagen and telogen at once (or old as she called it), she was taken by surprise and said "oh, you know about anagen/catagen/telogen? Most clients don't". And then the narrative changed. I asked to her to explain honestly if she knew what she was doing and she just kept apologizing. I cut the appointment off and got up. She charged me for the appointment anyways (with a $30) discount and wouldn't give me an explanation as to why they seems to have no issue with wasting my time and money without knowing what they are doing. Not to mention how painful that treatment is. To lay there for hours enduring that type of pain and find out it was for NOTHING, is beyond disappointing and again, simply unnacceptable. Very unprofessional facility, poor organization and clearly poor qualifications. I'll be following this up with the state board because this isn't a game. If you get into this business, you need to seek continued education till you've PERFECT your skillset before offering a service, and not a second sooner. read more
