Coleslaw is prepared well, and portion size on sandwich was great. Chipitole aioli was saucy goodness, and i went with mild. I had seen a few posts about Namkeen on Instagram and seeing that I was in the area today I decided to drop by. I ordered the Clucking Waffle Sandwich (Hot) and a side of masala fries. The chicken was very good. It was saucy, a little crunchy, but not dried out. The level of spice was perfect for me; I started to sweat a little but the flavor outweighed the pain. I'm not a spicehead or anything but I think I handle heat well. If you're a little more sensitive definitely order Medium or lower. The coleslaw inside the sandwich added a cool crunch to the otherwise very hot chicken. Also, the chicken was decently sized. The meat:bun (waffle in this case) was to my liking. I enjoyed the waffle but I don't know if it was the best vessel for such a saucy piece of chicken. I found it started to get a little soggy which compromised its structural integrity; you're gonna need a bunch of napkins. The waffle was a cheddar and jalapeño waffle and those things made it spicy and savory. The masala fries were quite good. They reminded me of the fries from my junior high cafeteria but in a good way. There were small and crispy/well done pieces but there were also longer and softer parts too. I prefer variety in the crispy level of my fries I wish they seasoned a little more heavily with the masala, but they were flavorful nonetheless. FOOD - first things first it's halal! Now, ridiculously good chicken! The chicken is moist and juicy, well coated, no funky pieces. The spice levels are amazing! I have tried the Naked, Mild, and Medium only. The Naked of course is nothing, if you don't like spice at all then get this. The Mild is perfect it's got just enough kick so you can eat the whole meal and the spice doesn't overwhelm the food. The Medium I had a few bites and had to stop. I'd say my spice tolerance is just below average, for reference. We ordered the Tikka Fries but they accidentally gave us Tikka Mac and Cheese (more about this below). This was really gross in all honesty. It was just overloaded with chicken tikka which flavors did not blend well with cheesy mac. I think if they work on the proportions of mac to chicken tikka this could be OK. I would never eat this again. Waffle Sandwich, this is was the best of the dishes flavorwise. Love how loaded it was and the jalapeno cheddar waffle was perfect for a little extra heat to go with the hot chicken. The waffles and thick and fluffy, but eat this quickly because the bottom waffle gets soggy and breaks apart real fast. This is also extremely insta-worthy. Chicken Tenders, solid classic served with pickles and coleslaw. A good choice if you don't want a sandwich or waffles. Chicken Tikka Sandwich, this comes with a standard heat level you cannot pick. Solid tikka flavor and small enough to finish in a sitting. Chicken and Waffles, one of the best I've had! I suggest getting a higher heat on your chicken because the sweet waffle combo will balance it out. Masala Fries, these are amazing! Perfectly fluffy thick cut fries and with the perfect amount of flavor. The portion size is small. I asked for ice and they didn't have any ice. (I know due to covid many places don't serve tap but you can get bagged ice or make it from bottled water). The bottled water they serve is also room temp not chilled. SERVICE - order to pickup turnaround is fast, about 10 minutes. If you order multiple dishes to dine in they bring each out as it's ready so everything is fresh. Do not sit inside if you want to dine here, there's three tables outside and a park down the block. I have been wanting to try this place and they day I was free it happened to be 93 degrees outside, all the outside tables were taken and I sat inside, there's no AC. They have a big fan but it's very uncomfortable. We ordered Tikka Fries and when the food came out they gave us Tikka Mac, we checked the receipt and seems they misheard and charged us Tikka Mac. When we asked to switch because we wanted the fries they said they were all out. Can't you just make more? DECOR - I love how this place looks on the inside! Totally trendy and insta-worthy but still keeping to its roots. COVID - mask required unless eating inside. The line goes outside due to social distancing. Outdoor seating available. LOCATION - located on Main Street parking will be tough. It's great if you're going to spend some time in the area. Plenty of shops around and there's an awesome ice cream spot literally across the street. I needed that after the hot chicken haha. They whip up some professional crispy , juicy , chicken and it's all freshly made. The sides don't disappoint either. The fries are a meal in itself. This is a cute restaurant located right on Chathams Main Street. When you enter the menu is on your right side. It's a great place for those who are having halal only. We went with the chicken tenders, Nashville hot chicken sandwich and lastly the pataka fries. We decided to be daredevils and order the spiciest level for the food preparation. I was literally crying as I was eating my sandwich but I couldn't stop. The food was really cooked well and I think from a price point it was not bad considering the amount of food you receive. And so today I took the leap and ordered from the closet location to me the Chatham location. I love food. A lot. So upon receiving my food, I immediately went to heat it up as I figured from the long drive it would be warm but not hot. And boy am I glad I did. I started first with the chicken and waffle. The waffle is standard but still delicious. The restaurant gives you butter and syrup which I poured on to my waffles and chicken. The syrup helped elevate the waffle and the chicken was just absolutely beautiful and filled with flavor and crunch. The portion is massive even for one tender which, as a big guy, is appreciated. Then I went for the Mac&Cheese and oh baby. This packed a lot of flavor. I believe it was either a 3 or 4 cheese Mac&Cheese and let me tell you, that was some straight fire. Finally, I topped it off with a Nashvilles Chicken Sandwich. Everything about this sandwich was perfection. The bread was the perfect consistency. There was a distinct crunch on the bottom of the roll that added depth to the sandwich. The toppings on the sandwich were all great additions. Nothing felt out of place or overwhelming. I felt full without feeling stuffed and like I had overeaten. If you're looking for some bangin chicken with some delicious flavors, this place is definitely a must try!
