The young lady that waited on us was kinda of rushing my daughter to make a decision on what she wanted. So she really didn't get to order what she wanted. She ordered on impulse. NOT Good Ok so the food was very good. I didn't like the fact that we had a party of 4 and everyone's food came out 1 at a time. Though the food is fair, I am very disappointed with my service from Nana Sushi and will never be returning. On my first visit I was very taken aback by the lack of customer focus when I ordered my shrimp hibachi & sushi from this restaurant to-go. The manager was not attentive in satisfying my desires as a client and she had a take it or leave it attitude. They also REQUIRE you to provide a phone number to order and don't let you pay in cash if you don't register with their digital system. I'm all for progressive technology, but this is Suffolk, I should be able to pay in cash & not have to give you my phone number & email to order a quick dinner. I didn't want to be biased so I gave them a second chance and ordered again and the service was worse. I was asking to add a dish to my order over the phone and before the call needed I changed my mind and requested they take the item off. They then said they COULD NOT remove the item and it was already cooking (all in 30 seconds) and insisted I pay for it even though I did not want it. Very dissatisfied. This place has pretty decent food but I do not like how their operate with their pricing. The pricing does not equal the quality. I asked for light ice in my Thai tea and was charged $2. I cannot express enough how much I love this restaurant. Everything from the customer service to the food and drinks is excellent. I wish I could remember what the name of everything I tried but it honestly doesn't matter. Everything I've tried has been delicious. The manager here really cares that you have a good experience and has even texted me to let me know the toro (fatty bluefin tuna) is in stock because she knows I enjoy it. I'm also not a fan of super sweet beverages and they will tweak the cocktails on their menu to ensure it is to your liking. All of the sashimis were very fresh! I The white tuna is so good that it melts in your mouth. My usual go to orders are the salmon skin roll, rainbow roll, the deluxe chef sashimi, and then I try something different, like one of the specialty rolls. On the specialty rolls, I've ordered 1. Crazy salmon roll - it is really good, the seared flavor is not empowering but enough to give that distinct taste. 2. My little sister and I were pleasantly surprised of the atmosphere when we walked in to the sushi restaurant in a small strip mall. It was clean and dim lighting gave off a romantic ambiance. I was in between 3 or 4 but I ultimately gave Nana Sushi a 4 star because of the service. The service was exceptional. Once we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. We shortly received water after settling into our seats. Although our waitress came back multiple times to take our order we didn't feel pressured, in fact she was very nice and understanding that we were first timers there. Our water never went empty and even the owner came by to refill our drinks. It just truly goes to show that he leads by example for his employees and he cares about his business. We ordered the grilled salmon teriyaki and Nana combination sushi. The salmon was grilled perfectly. I love a little bit of crispness to my fish, giving it a great texture. The Nana combo came with Ariel, crazy tuna, dragon roll, and rainbow roll. They were all great except for the crazy tuna. My little sister and I each had one maybe two and it was just not good. We were expecting spicy tuna but we were sadly disappointing. Regardless of the bad roll, I really got a bang for my buck. Just clear water ( not broth) with mediocre vegi. She then took back to the cook and fixed it. Ramen is instant noodles. It's clear water, not even broth with some Chinese take out soup. Bibibap is worst than Chinese take out. Korean BBQ beef is unbelievable fast food Chinese take out. Nothing taste like BBQ Korean. Foods are mediocre with expensive prices. Sooooo regret went there. Wonderful establishment. I walked in for lunch on a Saturday. I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome, a seat, and a nice cold glass of ice water which was greatly needed on this hot day. Sooo many options to choose from in the lunch menu. I had things to do at home so i needed it to go. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki lunch box which came with miso soup, salad, shrimp shumai, and some pieces of California roll. Wow was all of this filling and delicious. I can't recall what it was, but she said it was delicious! I ordered a cup of miso soup and two specialty rolls, which were the Aerial and the Spiderman Roll. The soup was decent; nothing spectacular. The sushi rolls on the other hand... they were absolutely incredible! And the presentation was astounding! Everything tasted fresh, and the chefs really put a great deal of detail into preparing the sushi. Oh, and the gyoza were very tasty, as well!
