Love this place for authentic Filipino cuisine! You order the counter and once they are out of an item, they are out for the day. We arrived right as the last of the Dinuguan. My siblings and I each did the two entree combo so we all got to try something different and then we shared the lumpiang shanghai and lechon kawali. Very delicious for a quick casual meal and desert.

Love getting the 3 entree plate here for only 14.99 and comes with rice & soup! I fell in love with the sour punch and meaty pork! The service is fast but I'd try to come when they're open or early because sometimes their other stuff are sold out! We got mostly red meat dishes and will say there was a lot of pork/beef fat. I think i will opt for chicken next time but boy was it good! The halo halo was ok 8.99 but don't think will order again. The fried rolls were great and crunchy! Here has a very nice and spacious seating.

Definitely need to try this place. My favorite Filipino dish is Dinuguan and man they do an awesome job making it.

In a plaza on the corner of Warner and Alma is a lovely family owned restaurant serving delicious Filipino food. Cafeteria style you go in and pick and choose what items you want and you pay for the type of combinations. They have all the typical favorites, along with drinks and desserts. I got the pork bbq stick, sisig and Kare kare. Was so good went back the next morning for breakfast for the Longsilog. The service is lovely, the food is fresh, lots of seating inside and ample parking in the plaza. If you have a hankering for some Filipino food - or have always wanted to try it - can't recommend this location enough.

Lechon kawali, pancit bihon and turon!
Inday C.

Did a delivery via Uber Eats. Was disappointed in the Lechon kawali. It was cut into pieces, then fried. Actually over cooked, fried too long. The pancit bihon was plain and had a few pieces of cabbage and chicken, had too much liquid in it and the noodles were cut into smaller portions. Needed more flavor. As I have food allergies, I called to make sure there were no shellfish in the pancit and the lady on the phone was very helpful and respectful. The best thing was the banana turon! Crispy and sweet to perfection. I may need to visit this place in person.

&17.97 for these...ridiculous, pieces of pork are really small.

Thought we'd give it another try...never again..!!! Pancit didn't taste that good, very bland. Beef caldereta ($9.99 small container), not tender at all, very chewy and fatty...small adobo chicken ($8.99), mostly bone and skin and big pieces of potato, very little actual chicken. Being one of the few Filipino restaurants around, they can charge high amounts for subpar food. Wife is Filipina, and wanted to give another try...she agrees...never again!!!

Filipino cuisine--a fiesta of flavors and culture it has been! The Tagalog word "Nanay" means mother or mom, which evokes the idea that nothing beats a good home-cooked meals prepared by mothers. Nanay's Restaurant in Chandler truly satisfied my cravings for Filipino-style cooking. It absolutely did! I am always excited to let other culture taste our own dishes. I am glad my luncheon date (his first time to enjoy Filipino food) had nothing but praises, finding the food rich in flavors. They have a cafeteria-style of ordering--fall in line, choose from the displayed dishes, and pay at the counter. The line was short when we arrived, but it quickly grew as more people (not just Filipinos) came in. The food options were overwhelming and so inviting that we ended up ordering a lot and taking some home. While ordering, I explained each dish- some of the ingredients and cooking methods. We had first and the most important of all, RICE. For Asians, Rice is Life. We had Dinuguan (pork/beef blood stew), Sinigang (Filipino sour soup), Longganisa (Filipino sausage), Beef Caldereta (beef stew), and Sinugbang Baboy (grilled pork). For dessert, we enjoyed Turon (sweet, crispy roll with banana inside) and Ube Halaya (purple yam pudding). Throughout, I kept telling my big foodie date, "You have to taste this! This is really good! We always cook this at home!" Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The service was quick and friendly. I speak their language and I had a good chat with the staff. It felt nostalgic, like being transported back to the Philippines. Growing up, I always came home to delicious, home-cooked meals. My family had a small restaurant serving home-cooked style meals. When there is no school, I often helped out that I have learned to cook and found love for cooking. Sharing home-cooked food meant eating together as a family, respecting the table full of blessings, and never wasting food. So, if you have never tried Filipino cuisine yet, Nanay's is the place to go. 'She' will not disappoint you.

I think my last review was the same time around last year, and everything is still very good! The only issue is they have become busier and I have to wait a little longer! Great service still, especially when Ate Ferlyn checks us out and waves us goodbye!

I was looking for Filipino spots, this was a popular one that stood out in many of the Filipino recommendations. Here was my experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking so there's a lot of room. I didn't have any issues. Seating: Inside seating, great for small and large groups. There's room for about 40 people. Vibes: It's in a not to flashy place. Just a general plaza with other restaurants and everyday stores. The place itself is pretty nice. I enjoyed the top 40 music for some familiar sounds. I like the simple decor of pictures of the Philippines or bilaos. They have a karaoke machine too if you're into that. Great for families, quick Filipino food, or catering.! FOOD: Kaldereta (Recommend) This was the most recommended and I can see why. The beef was juicy, well sauced. There was a good portion of peas and potatoes. What makes this different from other ones I had are there mushrooms. It added a nice extra umami kick to it. Chicken Adobo (Recommend) This was comforting. I make a pretty good batch but for what's given in Arizona... I approved. Chicken well cooked and well marinated. Peanuts (Recommend) For a great all-round snack, this is good. Little nutty sweetness but nice salted savory touch to it. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great people! Friendly servers that were quick and helpful. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. I enjoyed my visit here. Visiting from California, this place held it down and represented. Great choices, good food, all at a reasonable price. For those craving Filipino food, be sure to check this spot out. #FilipinoFoodMovement TIPS: * Come early! This spot is no hidden gem!

Three entree lunch

I got the 3 entree lunch which said it comes with rice and soup. But I only got 3 items with rice without the soup. My friends also paid extra for their dishes. The pricing isn't transparent up front and I think they know it. Seems like a scam. Even then, everything was so salty. Not coming back.

Amanda C.

A bit conflicted on our second time here. We definitely will return though because the value is so good. We ordered two 3 entree plates to go and some dishes were extra greasy (which is expected so its fine) but the longanisa was strangely soft this time. The casing should have a crispy crunch to it when you bite into it. We were disappointed in that! Garlic rice was extra flavorful this time which we enjoyed. I liked that they gave us 2 different soups versus just the usual 1. The new soup was healthier and more refreshing than the usual sinigang they offer.

Halo halo

Nanay's is the real deal! Nanay's specializes in authentic Filipino food served "turo-turo" (meaning point-point) which is a cafeteria-style service in which you pick a combo of entrees from an array of dishes warming on a steam table. My friends and I arrived on a Saturday shortly after they opened, which I highly recommend doing. They get busy quickly and there will be a long line to order. Most, if not all of the employees are Filipino and have that warm and welcoming nature that Filipinos are known for, especially back home. Nanay's offers traditional dishes like dinuguan, adobo, monggo, and more. They also offer traditional desserts like halo halo, taho, turon, and more. I was super excited about the taho! I think it's been 10 years or close to since I've had it. I immediately ordered taho as well as the two fish entrees they offered, both were fried. The food transported me back to Philippines. I was even tempted to eat with my hands. The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The crispy fish I ordered had the best crunch. Both fish entrees went well with the garlic rice, though I would have liked more garlic in the rice. We had to end our meal on a sweet note, with halo halo! The halo halo was big and great for sharing. My gf and I barely finished it. Can't wait to go back!

In the East Valley this is the most authentic Filipino cuisine you're going to find. Family owned and operated. Banatao (Momma) is still working on site. The daughters run the restaurant. My wife would go here two or three times a week if it were any closer to our house. Expect to pay about $12-$15 a person. We will be back again and again.
