She did a great job cleaning and inspecting my teeth. She also gave me feedback on my dental health without a lecture or making me feel like a scum bag. Dr Chan examined my xrays and my teeth. He explained the cavities to me and showed me on my xrays what he was looking at.

Staff immediately took xrays and prepped me for the doctor. Dr Gaballa came to introduce himself and explain the procedure about to take place (root canal). Did not waste anytime using numbing gel before injecting novacaine in multiple spots surrounding the tooth in question. Obviously Dr Gaballa used extra amount of novacaine because I literally felt nothing within minutes. Staff was present the whole time during the procedure and very evident they were exceptionally skilled assisting the doctor. I was so relaxed during the procedure that I almost fell asleep! The whole operation lasted less than 45 minutes. I have had two root canals performed previously by two different dentists , while the work they each did was satisfactory Dr. Gaballa and his staff has significantly raised the bar for professionalism and customer service.

Moments after completing it, I was called to the back where they took x-rays and then got me settled in a room. Dr. Martin is the primary dentist and he's got decades of experience - practiced in D.C. for about 15 years before he opened his current practice and location 8 years ago. I found him to be professional but also friendly and personable. The office staff are polite and efficient as they explained to me how the appointments are held and what I owed after insurance coverage. All in all, it was a pleasant experience; I was out of there 1 hour and 15 minutes after I walked in, got x-rays and a cleaning - now that's what I'm looking for, fast and professional. One of my pet peeves is having an appointment somewhere, showing up and having to wait extra time before I get in the back, then waiting more time to be seen. I'll be back.

The temperature in the building was uncomfortable for me because I don't like air-conditioning, however, everyone else was quite comfortable. Chrissy, the dental assistant, went and got a blanket for me to aid in my comfort. Now, that's really good stuff. So here's the best part. When the doctor comes in there no lectures about what caused me to be here or anything to make me feel worse than I already do for not having taken excellent care of my teeth. With a pleasant smile the doctor just engage in Smalltalk to break the ice. After reviewing the x-rays he breaks down the "doctorese" language into layman's terms to help me understand everything about my situation, the course that we will take today, and any after treatment. And throughout the entire procedure insured my level of comfort was adequate over and over and over again. The staff is nothing short of high-tech professional to the nth degree. I'm not going to go on and on because I can't say enough about them. From the initial call until the satisfaction I received by having the best dental care I could ever have hoped for. The fact is and will always be that when you deal with people of integrity and professionals who put service before self and aim for integrity first and excellence in all they do you can expect nothing but the best. Nothing to be up in arms about, UNTIL I SAW THE XRAYS. JEEBUS LORD. There was a crap root canal done, first of all. Mossy importantly though, there wad this weird, cockeyed SCREW (like, aaaaaan actual SCREW) in the root bed. That was what the enormous and righteously painful abcess had formed around. What the ACTUAL. My new dentist was dumbfounded. Super professional, trying not to speak poorly of a cohort...but he went to explain it and had nothing. Spo hee redid the root canal (yaaaaaaaaaaay!), removed the rogue hardware and now I'm dandy. But over a grand more poor, and as a single mom that blows goats.
