Wow what a tasty burger! I am probably one of the few people in this world that is "not an In n out nut". I prefer a meaty burger. This burger was on the lines of Fatburger and FiveGuys. We ordered online thru the Yelp app with ease while sitting in the parking lot. You can schedule a time to pick up or order ASAP, pay online and walk in for the social distancing grab n go. We took our food to a near by park and had a yummy tasting lunch. I ordered the double cheeseburger with cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mushrooms,thousand island, mayo, ketchup and mustard. Hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger with American cheese. We ordered the Hogg fries that have bacon, cheese, grilled onions and secret sauce on top. We also had to try the small Cajun fries which come in a brown bag with a huge portion size. I mean since we are already splurging and we had to try the milk shakes. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations as it was our first time. Their fries are so good! Burgers were good and big! They have one size of drink but you get free refills. Their fry sauce wasn't the best but it was okay. I love Nancy Jo's! They have a burger salad bowl that is just perfect for those that are eating low carb or just trying to fit my veggies in your food regime. You can add a patty for those hungry days or just leave as is. You can add all the same toppings as a burger as well. I love that you can add jalapeños and they offer jalapeño ranch dressing(which has the lowest carbs per service). I really thought I had reviewed Nancy's already, but apparently I haven't. Nancy's takes the 5 Guys concept and makes it a local business. Double patties on the regular burgers? Check. List of condiments to add or discard at your whim? Check. Upgrade your burger to 100% prime patty? Wait a tick, that's new. Nancy's makes an effort to appeal to the customer. Whether it's beer served in a red solo cup, or Made to Order shakes, they do their absolute best to provide the best of the best. I'm not ashamed to say that this is a great "Hangover Hangout" place either. I've wasted a lot of time here with a cheeseburger, fries, and unlimited refill soda fountain after a night of revelry. But the burgers are top notch. The toppings are awesome. The shakes are really, really good, and the service is always exemplary. And even better, this is a local business. Owned by an actual person. This place has gone down hill... I have been a long time loyal. Its Saturday, January 13th, 2018. Cane in with a group. Messed up the order. Forgot my order, made it again, (finally done once everyone in my group was done eating) when I received my burger, it was totally the wrong burger. I'm ended up getting my money back. (Wish I hadn't tipped $10 prior to service). While sitting here, I noticed one other couple complaining about the food. Will take my long time loyalty somewhere else!! If we could negative stars we would. We ordered 2 burgers, waited 15 minutes. Asked for our money back as it was going to be another 5 minutes. There had to have been atleast 10 online orders They were given out and made.. no one else on the restaurant, 4 people cooking and still 20 min later no food. They had to " call Nancy" for permission to refund our whole $17. That took another 5 minutes. Still no food. No apology, nothing. Finally after about 25 minutes we left with our $17. Still no food. Awful customer service. Poor employees and poor cooks who cant do their jobs for two simple burgers. Would NOT recommend. At all!! Rip off. after Nancy replied to a false accusation which I find hilarious. First off, ticket time was 15 minutes. I looked. Second off we were hungry. In no hurry but to get our food in a timely fashion. 20-25 minutes is not acceptable. I am local, not from California. so, don't blame it on me being from out of town... I would love to give them 5 stars. My burger is aaaalways delicious. The fries are always amazing. I'm not kidding when I say, my almost two year old points and wants to stop every time we pass. But I have a problem with how it is ALWAYS under staffed. It is literally impossible for the counter person to make milkshakes in a timely manner. This even my milkshake came at least 10 minutes after my food and that wasn't her fault. She was taking orders. She only has two hands. I consistently find this location grossly understaffed. And their food is always delicious and keeps me coming back. I just really feel for the employees and the pressure of so many waiting customers. read more

I was a regular at this Nancy Jo's in Keizer for over 3 years! I called in so often the counter girls answering the phone already knew who and what my order was. Nancy had some of the most welcoming staff. About a week ago a guy who works in the kitchen posted about him resigning from his position and why. I found this evidence disturbing. Long story short Nancy had rats and didn't do anything about it until she lost multiple employees and it was now public knowledge she had an infestation happening. Nancy made a statement on her Facebook page where I made a comment stating I'd been a regular for the last 3 years and was appalled about her behavior. Nancy then deleted my comment and blocked me from her Facebook page. I will post the original post, hers and my comment in the pictures. I will no longer be a Nancy's regular and it's quite sad considering this was my favorite lunch spot. Like I said in my comment I hope she finds the respect she once had. read more

How is it possible that this teeny tiny business is capable of putting ripe tomatoes on its burgers but 99.9% of other restaurants fail miserably at it? Does this business have a green house out back where they carefully tend to their homegrown tomatoes? Of course they don't--they just CARE apparently. Took my hubby and babe here last week. This time I got the big burger--and I'm not ashamed to admit that I ate the whole thing. Husband LOVED the burger so much he wanted to go the following day. My wife and I love a good burger, and a new burger place that looked promising got us to try it out. We pulled in at noon on a Monday, and a large dining room, with not quite enough tables to fill it greeted us. And nothing on any of the walls, not even a menu board. The order taker was friendly enough. The apparent owner stood next to her, an older man was busy switching out micros, and two cooks cooking. All this for a total of six guests in the place. So we ordered a burger, a cheeseburger, a small fries, and two drinks. We paid, and were given a number. No one offered glasses for drinks, we had to ask for them. The drink machine was a very basic Pepsi machine, and offered no ice tea. After about ten minutes our number was shouted out, and we picked up our lunch at the counter. It came with two small fries, even though we'd ordered one. Burger and cheese burger were both fairly tasteless, though of good quality meat and condiments. The cook seemed to not know that salt and pepper were needed. The burgers came warped in foil, which seemed like a good idea, but apparently left the buns so soggy they hardly held together. One other small thing. When you are eating it's not fun to have the Staff smiling at you and interacting with you while you eat. Sorry, we won't be back. April 9, 2013 update: Okay, a friend wanted to meet me for lunch today, and I did come back to Nancy's. I must say that I was very glad I did! Cheeseburger was delightfully seasoned with salt and pepper, Delicious. Cheeseburger now wrapped in a paper lined foil wrapper designed for burgers. Cheeseburger was not soggy!!!!! Fresh cut fries, and frie sauce, delicious. Service friendly, and staff delivered order to our table. Nice. Nancy stopped by our table to personally check that everything was okay...yes it was! Walls are now decorated, and a menu board (that is easy to read and understand) has been installed. Nice. Iced tea has been added to the beverage selections. And, the young woman who did an excellent job of being friendly and efficient offered us drink cups! In addition beer has been added as a beverage to go with burgers and fries, and it's good microbrew at that! Thanks for listening to your customers Nancy. Really good. The prices are insane - $4.75 for a delicious, loaded burger? Wow. They are going for the 5 Guys look and feel but I prefer the burger here and would come here in the future. The meat was good, not seasoned too much but good. The toppings are plentiful and very fresh. I got the basics, onion, tomato, lettuce, pickles and all were good. Fries were very good too. If you've been to Five Guys, you know where Nancy's got their ideas from but, hey, it's burgers so the more, the merrier. Friendly staff and a family atmosphere. Great fries and one order is usually enough for two people. Wish they didn't serve Pepsi products. Especially flat from the fountain Pepsi. Anyhow, it's been awhile since I've been to Five Guys but I think they're slightly better than Nancy's. This is premium fast food and so it's not cheap for what you get but, honestly, I'd probably be just as likely to hit up Wendy's if there was one closer to Keizer. If you've been lucky enough to experience the magnificence that is In-N-Out, you will be underwhelmed here. They aren't in the same league. read more

I've heard some buzz from several of my friends to try the place out. For being a local business I was hoping it would be a place I would like to frequent, but I probably wont. The place its self could probably call its self Five Guys and no one would notice the difference. It looks the same, and even has the same menu look. I went on a busy Saturday during lunchtime. The place was full, and not many people actually had food at their tables - they were waiting for their orders. I ordered a burger fries and soda. From the time I ordered to the time I got my food it took 25 minutes and cost me $10.75. My food was given to me in a greasy paper bag. The food its self was about what I was expecting. Greasy fries and a wet sloppy burger that falls apart as you eat it. The food is fine, its exactly what you were expecting. All in all, for the time and cost I would prefer to go next door to a bar or grill. I think it would be a better touch if they served their dine in food in a basket or tray as opposed to the greasy paper bag. read more

We have been in Keizer a year and a half now and finally decided to try Nancy's burgers and fries. What a disappointment! The walls are plastered with reviews from the statesman Journal saying they have won this "Best Burger" for 3 years in a row. well the judge must be a relative! My burger; both patties and my daughters burger were burnt. Mayo seemed to be in short supply. luckily the fry sauce on the counter covered some of the charcoal flavor. my wife ordered a south west chicken salad; it had lettuce, tomatoes and chicken only. I guess you shouldn't order a salad at a burger place!the second daughters chicken sandwich was ok i heard. with a little sauce' mayo and catsup and less cooking time, this might be am alright burger but i'm not sure yet when we will try again. i would recommend Burger King's baconator over this place any day of the week. read more

Holy Cow! This place is amazing. They have great burgers at great prices. The condiments are fresh and full of flavor. The beef patties are delicious and not greasy at all, and the fries are stupendous. Now, I admit, that is a lot of adjectives about a burger joint, but they are duly deserved. My partner and I took some family members here during the Christmas holidays. We were greeted by a friendly young woman at the counter who offered to explain the menu and did so with gusto! Our order arrived and our number was bellowed to the establishment. Now I have to admit a bit of confusion when I opened the bag. The burgers had stickers on them: 1, 2, 3, 4, however, that didn't exactly equate to the order on the receipt. I think if you are going to number your burgers, you should number the receipt. This go around they goofed on the order (cheeseburger with iceberg and very light condiments) it was Greenleaf and soaked with mayo/mustard and very difficult to eat. On the up side the fries were good and shake not to bad, though $3.95 for a 12oz shake is pretty steep even if it's hard ice cream. read more
