The staff and service was exceptional as well as the food. My son got the breakfast burrito with bacon, and it was amazing. I got chicken and waffles.. the berry sauce was addicting but my meal wasn't as good as my son's. Coffee was hot and fresh and the staff made sure my cup was always full. We loved the Hillbilly (a huge biscuit and gravy with two eggs and a strip of chicken-fried bacon). The country gravy is quite tasty--far better than your average restaurant country gravy. The eggs benedict was very good, except they overcooked one of the eggs on it. The chicken fried steak and eggs was first rate. The service was very friendly and efficient. What a great place! Everyone in our party loved their food. My 10 year old said the chicken and waffles was the best breakfast he ever had, and my vegan husband said the vegan scramble was the best breakfast he has had in a very long time. Great little breakfast/lunch place. Cute, clean, friendly, and most importantly delicious food. We stopped at Nancy's on our way home after visiting family in the area. To our surprise they now carry an "orange" sauce. Very similar to an orange sauce from a popular taqueria in SJ. Catfished. This filthy diner has no business posting these pictures or having anywhere near this high of a review score. This is severely overpriced cafeteria food at best. Everywhere you look is covered in stains. It is disgusting. The wait staff was ridiculously unprofessional. Sitting at tables in the dining room, playing with their phone. Having personal conversations right next to your table. Even joking about how little they clean. Our server never checked on us or refilled our $4 mason jars of tan water they call iced tea. She walked passed us multiple times clearly trying not to acknowledge us. A yelp "sponsored" business can apparently get away with robbery. Do not trust the reviews. All I can guess is they are yelp paid reviews or bots. I will not trust a sponsored listing on yelp again. read more

This place is fantastic. We live about 45 minutes away and we were so stressed trying to decide on just the right thing because so many things on the menu looked great. We ended up with the monte cristo which is huge and beautiful and my friend loved it. And I also got the something lovers breakfast that has a little of everything with a biscuit and gravy on the side. SO good! The pancakes hardly even need syrup but the syrup is equally amazing, the eggs are fresh, the meats are perfect. The biscuit was to die for. Fantastic family run establishment. Family was hungry on our drive back from Reno to Sac. Instead of grabbing fast food, we decided to Yelp something local and Nancy's Cafe came up. We had a short wait, only because the place was packed. Ordered the vegetarian omelette, kids chicken tenders and mushroom burgers. Service was great and quick, considering they still had foot traffic so close to closing time. Everything was delicious. Veggies were cooked perfectly, fries were crisp, burger was huge and flavorful and chicken was both super crispy and tender! I'm sure their jam is homemade and we took any extras we had with us. A beautiful quaint breakfast cafe, that serves traditional American breakfast. The owner works and serves along side her children. They are all nice and truly care about the quality of service and food they provide. Also they sell their own hot sauce called "Fire Nine". I'm pretty sure it was Nancy herself who was our server, but at the time I didn't know who she was till I went online to review! The young man at the door was present, delightful and helpful - automatically setting a great tone to the experience. We chose a booth and were welcomed by a very friendly gal (Nancy) :) We ordered chicken and waffles and the 2x2x2 breakfast (pancakes, sausage, eggs). It came VERY fast - barely having taken a few sips of my coffee, which was also very good. Nancy's attentiveness and warmth was wonderful and we will definitely be back. The perfect local place. I'd say eating at Nancy's is like eating with your family, but I like these people! No really Nancy meets you like that long lost cousin you used to enjoy sitting next to at family gatherings. Food is always made you your liking, not over cooked like Aunty Betties turkey. It was myself, my daughter and hubby. We ordered the Hillbilly for my daughter because she loves biscuit and gravy. They added battered fried bacon and two eggs with country potatoes and then lathered in country sausage gravy. It really has no taste. Needed to add seasoning. Maybe I'm just a salty eater. Hubby ordered the Denver omelette. You can't go wrong with this. He really enjoyed his fresh fruit bowl. My hamburger breakfast was ok. The Ciabatta bun seemed fresh and they did add the bacon as well. Again, what disappoints me is the flavor. It really has none. I did add their house spicy sauce and the name escapes me. That was pretty good. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with their breakfast. Customer service was on point. They were very attentive regardless of how busy it was.
