PSA- Prices doubled July 2026 (that is when we noticed our take out is too costly...). Instead of a bi weekly little family favorite treat this is now a family fancy dinner out - it went from feeding the family with leftovers for takeout costing to $60 to $115 This food is fantastic and they have gluten free options. we live in a society where you can charge whatever you like. especially when you have nice food. however instead of stating a price change, or please see our new prices before placing your phone order... It was sticker shock from the register! So just a PSA on pricing. It's still busy and still a ton of people eating here. so maybe it doesn't affect everyone but it definitely has affected the 5 families I have talked to about it! read more

Crab Fried rice off the special board was excellent. Good amount of crab meat, onions, cucumber, garlic,egg, Jasmine Rice, really tasty & brought some home. Mrs had the chicken pad Thai with chicken also excellent. Thin rice noodles, good tofu, scallions,bean sprouts and crushed peanuts on the side to mix in, fresh. Wasn't as busy as our previous visit and we noticed a pretty big jump in prices overall. This place used to be amazing. We just came in for lunch and it's gone way downhill. I'm pretty sure they are microwaving the lunch dishes. The chicken is really strange in texture and taste. The vegetables were inconsistently cooked as well. At least we only were here for lunch. Sad to say but, definitely never coming back. read more

Rating 3 stars because the service took way too long. The food was good and for the price the portions are large, they have good spices if you want to make your dish spicy. I just wish it came out a little faster because by the time I received my meal i was ready to leave so i don't feel like i got a chance to really enjoy it as much as i would've liked to. read more

Have been going to Thai Garden since it opened. Staff and service are wonderful and their prices have always been lower than anywhere else in town. As of late the restaurant had to raise their prices, for the first time in MANY years. With today's prices going through the roof for everyone I was shocked they were able to keep them down for so long. The couple dollars they raised their prices are STILL LOWER than other Thai restaurants we've visited. On top of that their food is a better quality than any Thai restaurant in town. Love Thai Garden and will gladly pay a few bucks more to keep such a high quality restaurant open. 5 read more

I'm honestly stunned by this place. Just about two minutes off the highway, it is a true hole-in-the-wall gem. You don't come here expecting a modern interior or exceptional service. You come solely for the flavor of the food. We've been on a Thai food kick lately, and we always order Pad Thai and curry wherever we go. We started with the chicken satay, and it was spectacular. The chicken was super tender, well-marinated, and full of flavor, especially with the strong notes of lemongrass. It was easily one of the best chicken satays I've ever had. They had a special today that featured Pad Thai with shrimp tempura, and my girlfriend ordered the yellow curry. The Pad Thai had a unique flavor profile compared to others I have tried. I cannot speak to its authenticity, but the noodles were incredible. In Chinese culture, we often describe good noodles as bouncy or springy, which is similar to what Italians refer to as al dente. These noodles were the best I have ever had, with each strand coated in a rich tamarind sauce. The crispy shrimp tempura added a great contrast in texture. The yellow curry was also excellent. It was packed with flavor and had crunchy carrots, soft potatoes, and tender chicken. The best part of the meal was seeing the check. Everything came out to around thirty-five dollars total for both of us. I am still thinking about the food as I write this. Take the reviews that criticize the service or interior with a grain of salt. You are not coming here for the atmosphere. You are coming for the food, and it is absolutely worth it. read more

Worst larb I have ever had, no lime. Too bad. Maybe they ran out or forgot how to cook. There prices have gone up substantially also, not worth the time or money. Better to try another place. I understand needing to raise prices to cover costs, but seeing the price of everything jump by a few bucks per item since I last ate there a few weeks ago was off-putting enough to make me choose another option for lunch. Chicken/beef/pork/tofu all used to be options that didn't require an additional charge. Having to pay an additional $1-$1.50 for tofu to replace chicken sounds crazy to me. $3 more for beef or pork. And this is on top of the increased base price! Seafood has always been extra. What used to be a $20 lunch order for me would now be $27.50... a 37.5% increase before tax and tip. Ouch. read more

Best Thai spot right off the highway on the way to Tahoe. You wouldn't expect much from this place, but the food is exceptional and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was really busy, parking was difficult as it was high noon. There isn't much ambience; its clean and has good restrooms. And seven of us walked in. We were seated pretty quickly considering how busy they were. Initial contact was a bit slow but after a few minutes they took our drinks orders. The beer, some interesting varieties, was cold and served in a sturdy glass. The food is excellent and quickly served. We agree with the excellent food descriptions in other reviews. We also observed many take out orders. When the check came we fully understood why it was so crowded: really reasonable prices for great food. We will return. Don't be fooled by the cramped parking and modest old strip mall appearance. Consistently fresh, great food in big quantities for a good price. Service is always fast and efficient. Highly recommend this restaurant!! It was on the way to Tahoe. We went on Saturday evening. There were around 20 minutes waiting. The ambiance was nice. Amazing vegetarian options. We got the Tom Kha soup, Drunken Noodles, Panang Curry and Jasmine rice. The price was reasonabl, and the quantity was apt. The taste was mind-blowing!! Drove out of my way to get to this restaurant, only to be told that they couldn't serve me as the kitchen was closed (20 minutes early). They then offered that I could "order something to go." What...and the kitchen is closed? They then changed their story: they just didn't want to sit anymore guests. Not a good move and deserving of one star all on its own. read more
