When I heard that Nandos was coming to Dallas, I was excited. After living in London for many years, this is one of the places my family and I frequently visited. We went on a Monday afternoon, at approximately 3 p.m. There were many empty tables available for people to sit at. We asked the host if we could sit down, and they told us we had to be added to the waiting list. I was confused when she mentioned waiting list because there were plenty of empty tables, but I said fine you can add us and she said it would be around a 30-minute wait... Again, plenty of indoor and outdoor tables available... Eventually, my husband went to order the food, and we still didn't have a table ready. I asked the girl again if we could sit down because there are so many tables available and our food will shortly arrive. After about 40 minutes, we sat down, and our food arrived. When I went to get the utensils, there were none available, and there were no sauces or napkins. Once we got the utensils and sauces, the food tasted really nice. I appreciate that the restaurant is new, and this type of service idea may be unfamiliar to Texans, but the staff could do a better job of organizing themselves and informing customers about how Nandos actually works. I won't be visiting again anytime soon, but hopefully, in the future, the overall service will improve. read more

All the hype surrounding Nando's made me want to try out this place. The chicken was flavorful but not dry! I got the mild level heat, which I didn't find to be that spicy. I also liked how they have a bunch of sauce bottles you can take to your table for some added flavor! The only thing I wasn't the biggest fan of were the fries. So I've been to Nandos a few times recently, when they first opened I never made it to actually eat because the lines were really crazy and the wait time always ridiculous. However last night me and a friend went and ordered some take out, and it has definitely calmed down since. Being a new restaurant I'm trying to give them a chance to fix some of the kinks in service and availability that I've seen so far: -one time they said they had run out of the chicken breasts (you're a chicken restaurant how is this even possible) -another time they had run out of ingredients for a bowl I wanted, but then realized they had found the ingredients lol -they ran out of tops for the to go sauce containers That being said, I think that'll take time to perfect and I'm hoping it will get better as I want to see them succeed, because who doesn't love Nandos! Ok so all those small gripes aside, I ordered the Chicken bowl for my 2nd time (got it the first time as well) and my friend ordered the half chicken with mango chili lime sauce and a side of the mashed potatoes. We got it to go. My bowl was so flavorful, and I add the lemon herb sauce and the wild herb sauces to my bowl. Just the perfect blend of spicy and tangy. As for my friend's chicken, he said it was good, but was hoping the chicken would be a bit saucier it was kinda of dry baked into the chicken. There is a reason this place gets packed! A huge menu full of delicious options from peri-peri chicken to an array of lemonades. You won't be disappointed. The best part about Nando's is the sauce selection. There are so many sauces to choose from and the spice level varies from mild to super hot! Really wish I could put this higher since I grew up eating nandos on the east coast. So excited to see they expanded to Addison with a clean new bar! I ordered the 1/4 chicken boneless breast but I got the chicken leg. The waiter noticed the mistake when they gave me the wrong entree however they said that they were busy (around 2 pm) and they didn't have time to remake it. Me and my friend enjoyed the sides!! They were all seasoned and crispy- can't go wrong with either the bread, fries, or rice. Each entree with 2 sides were about $12.79 if I got my correct order and $12.89 for the 1/4 leg. I still got charged for the entree I didn't want?? I tried to eat it as much as I could but I hate bones :'( I think my biggest peeve was the drinks. Exquisite flavors of South African cuisine. The mango lime chicken is my favorite flavor that they offer. Great side portions for the main dish, and any additional sides are given in a smaller bowl but can be enough for two people. My only issue is that their chicken portion on the Peri- Peri chicken bowl is not enough compared to the amount of rice they gave me. The wings had more chicken than the main dish !? Even the menu picture had more chicken. That was my biggest issue but the food was way too delicious to notice at first. Long awaited and super satisfied!!! DFW definitely needed some flavor and so glad Nandos rose to the occasion! We went on a Wednesday evening for dinner and we had a 35min wait, based on previous reviews this wait time was more than acceptable. It was packed but people were totally enjoying themselves. Service was on point and staff were friendly! We were seated and given 2 options on how to order: 1. Via the QR code, or 2. via the register at the front. Honestly you can't go wrong. Everything really tastes amazing! If you're sensitive to spices, I'd say start mild. The food came out hot and fast. The star of the meal was chicken, chicken, and more chicken!! Three attempts later and we finally made it when they did not have an hour+ wait! We are so stoked this is in our neighborhood, it is located next to F45 and across from Vidorra. The place is constructed and furnished beautifully, the seats are comfortable and the South African music provides a fun and uplifting ambiance. We are elated to see people of all backgrounds enjoying their meals here. Service is working it! They tactfully have 20+ employees working at a time and all are a delight to speak with and very helpful. Food: The hot flavor is not as hot as you think, they were out of medium so we ordered hot and it's not as hot as the medium at the other peri peri restaurants in Dallas. So, walked in and had to wait a few minutes for a table of 6. Almost all the tables were full for a Friday afternoon. Love the vibe of the place. I thought the grilled chicken would have more flavor. We ordered legs and thighs and 12 piece wings. Opted for the regular flavor on the thighs and half regular and lemon. Thighs were good. It was juicy. The wings were small and kinda dry. It was disappointing. Service... the lady that took my order was cold and not helpful at all. I was struggling with my order, and she just stared at me blankly, not remotely interested in helping a new customer. Why they put people like that in front of customers is beyond me. I found myself over in the Addison area for work & decided to find a place to eat for lunch. I searched "food" in google maps & saw Nando's pop up. The excitement I had when I saw this place pop up omg lol it just felt like such a serendipitous moment, because for the last few weeks I've been watching nothing but UK shows and podcasts & they rave about Nando's so I was super excited to try them out. The inside is really colorful & beautifully decorated. This is the second place I've been to where the bathrooms are gender neutral, which is nice in terms of inclusivity. The bathroom was also clean (which I'm sure can be a worrying thought for those who've never been & make assumptions about the other gender). I have to say the coolest thing about Nando's Addison is that everything is self serve. Cliff, who was the host that seated everyone, let me know if I didn't want to walk up to the register and order I could scan the QR code - order AND pay straight from the table. When you're seated you're given a seat number, which is what you'll use so the cooks know where to bring the food. The only con to self serve is that if you don't plan to tip on the site, you must have exact cash (staff can't open their register unless you buy something). For food I ordered the 6pc wings w/lemon herb seasoning, a side of Portuguese rice & a fountain drink. The total came out to $15.99. I must say I love the size of the chicken. It reminds me of the home grown organic chicken that most of us grew up on before they started injecting hormones into the meat. If you're into over sized meat, order something else. Flavor wise though the food was just decent. If you're looking to be WOW'd then maybe order one of their bowls or chicken sandwiches. That's what I plan to do when I come back. read more

We came here a couple weeks after its opening. This place definitely has a ton of hype because it's the classic go-to chain in London. The atmosphere is very lively and it feels very casual but more elevated than a standard fast food chain. You can either order via your phone or go up to the front to order. Nandos is known for their chicken, so we tried that as well as a few sides (Brussel groups, halloumi, sweet potatoes). The chicken was well flavored and cooked well, but the wings were a bit lukewarm temperature-wise. I liked the Brussel sprouts the best, so highly recommend that dish. read more

Full disclosure - I love Nandos and have been lucky enough to eat it in South Africa as well as England so I do have a good point of reference to compare this one. The staff are super friendly and could not do enough for us but at just the right level without being overly done. As for the food - I do hope that it gets more "nando'ish". By that I mean that our food tasted great that we ordered BUT it was not as spicy as it should have been nor was it as saucy. I hate to say it but the chicken was a little on the dry side and just ever so slightly disappointing, (thankfully) there was the row of pourable sauces to zing it up. Which is okay when you eat in but when they start offering "curb side pick up", this may be an issue. Loved that my favourite appetizer of hummus with peri peri drizzle made the American menu! Absolutely delicious! So glad our cousins brought us to this place last weekend. We were visiting and we love eating at local places. Peri Peri is African spices, theirs comes from Mozambique. The boneless chicken thighs were fantastic. Tender, flavorful. Some ordered bone in chicken, one with medium heat, this person can normally handle super spicy and he says the medium is just fine. He's had the spicier one and it's quite spicy. Everybody enjoyed the food and the ambience. They have indoor/outdoor seating. You can order at the table via a QR code or you can order inside at the counter. I went exploring and found Nando's tucked into the big shopping center/store-meggedon over by Beltline and the Tollway. I ordered the mango/lime chicken bowl with garlic bread. Bread was great. I love bread. Rice and bell peppers were awesome. Not sure about the chicken. I didn't taste mango or lime. Maybe I'm just old. Anyway, it was good. Rates a return trip. Super excited to finally have a Nando's in the Dallas area! Came in last Saturday and my only previous experience with Nando's was in Chicago back in 2019 so the format was a bit different and the menu selections shave been updated but still as delicious as I remember. IMO the chicken on the bone is the best, missing the yuca fries but the perinaise and French fries (with extra Nando's hot sauce) chefs kiss. The order in the app feature table side was super fast and convenient and while we only had water the frozen cocktails look amazing. Will definitely be back to try those! read more

As someone who's been to more Nando's in the UK than I can count (they're basically our unofficial national embassy), I can confidently say this Addison location is where good chicken goes to die. The food isn't fresh, the chicken's drier than the Sahara and the customer service makes you nostalgic for the DMV. Yes, it was busy, but here's a thought...if you're going to hand out free vouchers to "promote the brand," maybe start by serving something edible and not a masterclass in disappointment. After waiting over 30 minutes for someone, anyone to take our order, we were curtly told they were "overloaded with chicken orders." So we settled for the veggie burger. Big mistake. The ciabatta roll was passable, but the patty? A tragic mystery object. Flavorless, flat, and so sad-looking it could've starred in Road Trip (if you know, you know). Bottom line: if you value your time, your taste buds or basic human decency, avoid this Nando's at all costs. If you want real Nando's, hop on a flight to London, it'll take longer, but at least you'll be fed properly when you land. read more

We know Nando's from the UK (where it's kid of alright) so we know what to expect. My dear son wanted to go and give the place a try seeing he last had Nando's 2 years ago. I expected it to be hoping based on some of the reviews but I had more trouble finding a parking spot than a table. Log into the site by way of the QR code and it says this location does not accept online orders. So go to the counter and mention this to the manager but never did she ask to take my order. Instead go wait at the next register for the other employee to give her my order. Not what I would di if i was a manager but then I guess I am different. Ordered our food which was brought out quite quickly. Ordered the halloumi sticks as appetizers which I was happy to see were NOT breaded. Chili jam was good. Only a little greasy. Maybe dab some of the grease off before plating them?? Our mains arrived next, a butterflied chicken breast with cauliflower and rice as sides, half a chicken with fries and crispy brussel sprouts and a rainbow salad. Chicken was flavorful however that rubbery gummy chicken skin is all wrong. And that is where the choice of peri peri heat is all basted on. Medium and a limited time peri Q sauce were okay in terms of heat level. Sides were okay. Brussel sprouts had good flavor but if you par boil them before roasting or frying them them the stems aren't as hard as they were today. We decided to finish off with 2 Portuguese custard tarts which were very tasty but odd that it took over 15 mins to get to our table. And when I order 2 it is for 2 separate people, so why are they served on the same plate? All in all, it's no different to what I recall from the UK. Okay so this was my first Nado's experience and I loved it! It's a different vibe and I couldn't really tell if it was a nice kinda sit down restaurant (it's not lol). The food was SOOOO GOOD and flavorful. We had a large party and they helped us put tables together on the patio so we could all sit together. That being said, it is a self serve kinda place. I put the herb sauce on my chicken, fries, and even my bread. The lavender lemonade was perfect, a good combination of sweet and tart. The moment we walked in we were greeted by several staff in the front of the restaurant. There was always someone walking around to check on guests. The place and menu are both very child friendly. The restrooms were gender neutral which meant my husband could change the baby (as opposed to most places where the changing station is in the women's restroom). The layout is smart.
