I can't even tell you how much I love this place, and I can't believe I only discovered it after living in the area for over five years! I grew up in Los Angeles, basically the mecca of fusion food, especially Asian and Latino food, so I know good fusion food. This place is off the charts! I always get the pho-burrito and split it with my husband because it's huge. We get the brisket version, and it is insanely good. The meat is perfectly seasoned, and you can actually taste all those complex Vietnamese flavors in the burrito. The quality is superb, too. Everything is so fresh and colorful and just bursting with flavor. There are so many complex flavors going on, but they all work together beautifully. You can tell there's real care put into the food. I've also had the horchata, our kids get the pho, and we've loved everything we've tried there. The service is excellent. I've been to Cris & John since they were at the original location. I've tried a lot of dishes from them, while some were bad (such as bo la lot), there are still some that are pretty good. This time, I got the Phorrito and the Angry pho with brisket, along with a horchata. The horchata was delicious and refreshing, it had a lot of cinnamon flavor but I wish the drink could be more creamy. The phorrito was great and I love the broth they gave on the side. I think it's a bit more concentrated than the regular broth they use for pho. The pho itself was good, it's not your traditional Viet pho you get outside, it's more of a fusion pho where the broth isn't clear at all. If you're coming here for the first time, I would recommend trying out the platters so that you could try out more food all at once! read more

Met up with some friends and was looking forward to trying something different. When I pulled up I was happy to see that they have a private parking lot with plenty of parking space. As I walked up I noticed that they have outside seating available (although with the pollen, today that wasn't even an option for me). The guy tried to talk me into the saltado de carne however I didn't want the fries, so I went with what I ordered. I also got a peach lychee drink. Found a seat and the food came quickly! The egg rolls were my least favorite as it lacked flavor for me. I love potstickers (Mandu), these were okay, however once I was looking for something besides soy sauce to dip them in. The saltado de carne reminded me of bulgogi however has some tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers on the side. The rice was a little dry for me. My friend liked the peach lychee. For me it was sweet, where undiluted it with water. It also had chunks of I'm assuming lychee in the bottom (think boba). Overall it was a good meal. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. I had been wanting to come here for so long and i finally made it! I was worried there would be a long wait but there was not at all. We got there at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. You order your food up front then go sit down and they bring everything out to you. I didn't love having to order upfront and then sit down and that's mostly because the decision was really hard on what to order cause everything sounded and looked amazing. Throughout the years the quality and flavor of their food has definitely improved immensely! My favorite dish is still their pho-dilla (think pho quesadilla with melted cheese). Upon entry, it was a little overwhelming at first with all the options and menus everywhere. However, the service was outstanding with plenty of staff to help. The primary handheld menu was not very noticeable because all the big menus on the counter and big chalkboard menu. Would be nice if there was a menu stand of menus when you first walk in so one has time to review without customers wondering if you are in line or not. Once I ordered, the cashier asked me so many questions about what sauces I wanted and what types of boba options there were for my Earl Grey milk tea. Her accent combined with noisy environment made it tough to understand so I had to ask her to repeat a couple times. At lunchtime, she directed me to which table to sit at which I thought was interesting- seemed efficient for getting orders out quickly and so guests don't hog tables with too many empty seats. Although it took away the freedom of being able to sit where someone wants - perhaps one can move tables, though. The food was delicious. The birria tacos had a really nice crisp shell. The green sauce was good and not too spicy- although I didn't care for the spicy dipping sauce. Came with 3 which was VERY filling!! Also got the fried fish spring rolls with peanut sauce- they were huge! Something different and unique but I ended up getting fish sauce for those which I thought tasted better. My Earl Grey milk tea was delicious- not too sweet and a perfect balance. 2 birria tacos and 1 spring roll would have been plenty, but they do not do partial or orders for single items. It took about 15 minutes to order, and another 45 to receive our food. We did notice some tables around us getting their food sooner, which might have been based on what was ready when they ordered. The chef sent out an order of Kimchi fries on the house for our patience, and they were delicious! My kids had the chicken nuggets and fries with specialty drinks. They loved their meal and drinks. My husband and I enjoyed the chicken and fish spring rolls, fishin' good, southern soul, and bo la lot skewers. The sauce with the skewers was delicious. The southern soul was wrapped in a soft bao bun, the chicken was seasoned well and crispy with sweet and tangy bit of spice. I visited this location with colleagues from work and I had the pho-rito and it was awesome. I never would have thought to coming Vietnamese and Mexican food, but this is brilliant. The service was fast and it's a good location though I wish one was closer to Denton so I could get my wife there one weekend, since she's works in Flower Mound and we don't usually want to drive back toward Dallas for dinner after I get home. Loved the location and atmosphere - very cool and my colleagues - one had the birria tacos - excellent; one had the pho-dilla - also excellent; and one also had a pho-rito. We shared the kimchee fries - another hit. I can't wait to return. read more
