This place is popular!!! Be prepared to stand in line that goes out the door even at 3 pm on a Sunday. We tried the basic chicken tacos, the pot belly and the fish tacos. Listed in order of yummy. The churros came out piping hot and should not be missed under any circumstances.

All I. A Say is AMAZING!! Food is GREAT! Service is good and the ambiance is different! I would highly recommend!

We tried the Angry Pho Birria Platter. The food was very good !! We love the Baos the most, tacos were very tasty too. Pho was good, but not traditional Pho, tasted kinda like Bo Kho. Wings were ok, a bit dry, but not bad. Inside is very cute and colorful with fun Vietnamese decorations. 4/5 because it takes forever for the food to come after you order and sit down. About 20ish mins. Viet coffee was meh, like cold brew coffee from the market with baking soda taste in it.

There's a reason this place is always poppin'! Cris & John have really outdone themselves and made Vietnamese/Mexican cuisine amazing! All the flavors are so compatible and the fun drinks are the cherry on top. I highly recommend you give Cris & John a try!

This fusion is a perfect match and the menu exquisitely executes pairing the flavorful food of these two cultures. The restaurant has vibrant decor and murals that transport you to a diverse neighborhood. Every employee who helped us was approachable and kind, checking on us after we were seated and served, going as far as taking photos for us when we asked because we were celebrating our anniversary, and bringing out things we asked for once we were seated. It seems basic to say that, but the warmth and kindness was felt from each employee we interacted with, and I don't want to gloss over their good service. Our order: - Angry Pho Birria Platter - Elote + Chips - Strawberry Lemonade - Ube Horchata The pho (a little spicy) and bao (a little sweet with super tender meat) will make you want to do a happy dance. The wings could have been a little crunchier but they were sauced so it's understandable. The Bang Bang and Spicy Chili flavors were delicious. The Birria tacos were good, but we loved everything else on the platter more. The Elote + chips starter was authentic and yummy. The chips felt like an odd pairing, but it tasted good together! The Strawberry Lemonade was sweet but refreshing. The Ube Horchata was creamy and delicious. Not too sweet, and the ice didn't ruin it. Know before you go: - Arrive early! We got there when they opened at 11 AM on a Friday. Two other parties were already there and waiting to dine, as well. By 11:30 AM, a nice-sized crowd had rolled in. They had no problem getting everyone served quickly, though. - You order and pay first, grab a seat, and then they bring your food out to you. - Yes, the platter sizes are sufficient for two hungry adults to fill up on! You might even have trouble finishing it all. - Their online menu has awesome pictures of each platter option. The platters look smaller in person than in those photos, but as I said, you will definitely get full. - My husband, who is not a pho lover, loved the Angry Pho. - They are closed on Saturdays and Mondays. - They have gluten-free and halal options.

Food, wildly fun, fresh and fusion-y! Service was spot on, quick to clear tables, line moves fast, and furiously! Fun place to hit with family or friends! We tried so many things, and can't wait to come back and try more! Open one in Austin, the crowds will come.

Don't walk, you gotta run and try this place!! All the dishes are Vietnamese fusion and nothing I've ever had before. It's one of a kind and they execute so well! It's so freakin good! Literally a flavor bomb in every bite! They have an extensive menu with so many unique dishes. It was hard to order one dish so we just had to order it all :) The Saltado was the best I've ever had! It was so bomb! The fries were somehow still crispy even though it's tossed in this delicious sauce! Meat was tender and melt in your mouth good! I also loved the burger! We cut pieces so we can all try the different dishes, and I kept cutting pieces of the burger! I've also been on a burger kick lately to try to find the best burger and this one is high up the list! It was surprisingly hot for a good 15 mins. The meat was well seasoned and the onion, cheese meat and sauce all blended so well. Little bit salty and a little bit sweet with the grill onions. The wings were also crispy with this nice sweet chili sauce! Cooked to perfection! I really liked the curry pho! It's a green curry with a little kick to it. They have quite a few different vegan options and this is a dish that can be made vegan. You can dip the Birria tacos in this pho consume which is so fire! It's so good you just want to drink it up lol I added some of their habenero hot sauce and it was just the perfect birria bites. The phorrito is pho filling wrapped in rice and fried! You gotta wash all these delicious meals down with a lychee peach tea! It hit the spot lol it was so refreshing with the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. This is a must try place if you're in the area!

Food/Drinks: As it was my first time dining here, I thought that ordering something tried and true would be the best choice, so I ordered Pho with Rare Steak and Brisket. But the second I had a bite of my partner's Viet Shaking Beef Burrito, all bets were off--I was hooked on my first bite. It was as unconventional as it was tasty--even more so with the sauce they serve on the side--and everything married well together. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was pretty good, with a strong coffee taste, but not overwhelmingly sweet. Service: Unfortunately, our food went to the wrong table, and we were served an item we didn't order. But that's trivial--overall, service was alright. Food came out pretty quick, despite the rush. Also, one of the servers was kind enough to checked in on us and asked how everything was. Ambiance: Casual, cultural, eclectic. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

Food good. Service passable. Ambiance obnoxious. I was excited to come here for a second time. This place is incredibly popular because it's kitchy and yummy. The hours are odd. The location is just about perfect on this sleepy little corner. The staff seemed annoyed. The music was waaaay to loud. And I'm pretty sure it was the same song on repeat. Get it together people!! Drinks are a diabetic coma just waiting for you, or you can have tepid water & beg for ice. Take the good with the needs improvement IMO

The phoritto tasted just like pho! Staff was friendly and helpful. It was my first time and they took the time to make recommendations and they did not disappoint.

I've been to Cris & John since they were at the original location. I've tried a lot of dishes from them, while some were bad (such as bo la lot), there are still some that are pretty good. This time, I got the Phorrito and the Angry pho with brisket, along with a horchata. The horchata was delicious and refreshing, it had a lot of cinnamon flavor but I wish the drink could be more creamy. The phorrito was great and I love the broth they gave on the side. I think it's a bit more concentrated than the regular broth they use for pho. The pho itself was good, it's not your traditional Viet pho you get outside, it's more of a fusion pho where the broth isn't clear at all. If you're coming here for the first time, I would recommend trying out the platters so that you could try out more food all at once!

Came in to get my cris & John fix, as it's been awhile. Probably over 3yrs. Sooo happy that they have a new spot because the old one, the wad not cutting it lol.. and honestly.. this one is pushing it too! There's multiple tables.. and there's even a few outside! but the hype is still there which means the line is still out of the door lol. I was privileged enough to get here before the line stretched outside, I'm also happy that they have this little waiting area.. it really helps the inside traffic. Ooo and if you're wondering if parking, yes! The parking got better.. there's over 100 spots

So far looking at the pricing very accommodating especially for this economy that's a super plus !! The angry Pho definitely leaves up to its name. The soup with the combination of the tacos just makes everything pop!! Energetically, chaotic, fun space to come with family and friends. They even give you your own personal water jar. Definitely a 10/10 it's on Preston rd come check them out ! It's irresistible delicious // Man oh Man I'm telling you there Agua Frescas be heavenly refreshing the sweet and spicy wings that come on the platter the sweetness compensate the chicken how it's seared instead of meat and then you have the spice that gives you that kick off of that first juicy bite very tasty

You can tell they brew it and it doesn't come from a syrup. When I sat down, I was instantly greeted, and there were like four different people serving my table, I think that they all work as a team to make sure everything is covered. The service was just amazing. Restaurant is beautiful, the booths were , small and intimate and you feeling that you in place with privacy and yet part of the group ....kind of interesting how they've done that. But the food! The food was outstanding, first they gave me a complementary appetizer of Jasmine sticky rice with this eggplant chutney, that was very tasty, a teeny bit spicy, but really good depth with flavor. Then my beef Samosas arrived. There were four, wrapped in like a triangle rapper, smaller than the Indian version of the same, and the flavor was very tasty, and corn and small chopped potatoes, yum! The two chutneys that came with it one was a cool cucumber, and the other was this sweet and spicy plum sauce. They made samosas!!! They could be soft and cool, or they could be delicious and spicy, depending on chutney you had them with and you had a third option.... There was a bed of pickled radish and carrot that really sit off the samosas as well and we're just delicious on their own. I devoured the entire thing. Then get the entrée. I had drunken noodles and I added the shredded pork... It was devastatingly tasty!!! the noodles were obviously done it a wok that's been seasoned to perfection. The wide noodles picked up all that deliciousness from the wok and then combined with the pork... heaven ! They had large pieces of bell pepper and tomatoes. very fresh onions... Just deliciousness. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food.
