I've been looking forward to trying Nando's Peri Peri Chicken ever since I learned it was coming to Addison. We finally dined there last night. Everything looked and tasted delicious. We tried the grilled halloumi with chili jam, the Peri-Peri Chicken Bowl with medium sauce and the Peri Chicken Rainbow Bowl with lemon herb sauce. Both bowls were similar--fresh and light--but with different veggies. The peri peri sauce is a sweet heat. We ordered a side of the hot sauce as well and found it to be not as overwhelmingly hot as the menu would imply. We loved the chicken bowls and can't wait to try some of the other menu items, such as the Cole slaw (recommended by staff) and the Peri honey sweet potatoes. Because the menu is both delicious and healthy, Nando's will easily become a go-to favorite. The ambiance will improve with the weather since there's a large, beautiful patio that will help spread out the crowds in this very popular restaurant. However, right now it's a bit chaotic. There are different lines for carryout orders versus dine-in and that isn't initially clear. If you want to dine-in, you need to have your name added to the list. Once you are seated, you can order via QR code at your table or go back up to the register to order and provide your table number. The restaurant is a little hard to find due to Village on the Parkway crowds and parking challenges, but it's next to F45 and across from Vidorra. I recommend visiting during off peak hours for the best experience, but we found it worth the effort, even during peak hours on a Friday night. read more

Went around 3 pm on a Sunday and we were told it was gonna be almost a 2 hour wait to dine in, so we decided to do take out which took about 25 minutes.. thankfully it was nice outside so we just took it to a park to eat. We got the platter w/ 2 sides-lemon and herb flavored chicken with spicy rice and mashed potatoes. The shareable was about 31 dollars, which is a better deal if you're going with multiple people compared to buying a single serving (which is 17?) as it's more expensive for one less side. The flavoring of the chicken was good, and the chicken itself was moist. The mashed potatoes were soft and buttery and spicy rice was flavorful. I visited the London Nando's 2 months ago, so my bar was set pretty high. I visited the Dallas location on Friday afternoon, it was pretty quiet and easy to get a table. We sat in the patio since we had our dog. There are fans in the patio which helps with Texas heat, but suggest they get some sort of bug repellant or candle repellants - there were a lot of mosquitos around us. We ordered the 3 thigh plate with mac and cheese and fries along with a side order of brussel sprouts and halloumi cheese. The natas for dessert were delicious, just wish the pastry shell was a little more firm and not so flimsy. The chicken was cooked well and tasty, all the sides (except the halloumi) were perfect. We ordered the full platter with two flavors: medium and mango lime and sides of rice and coleslaw. The medium chicken had flavor but I wasn't a fan of the seasoning. I really loved the mango and lime chicken. Lots of bold flavors: Sweet savory and a bit tangy. The rice was delicious. The coleslaw had no sweetness to it and was more salty and peppery. Still pretty good. One of the chicken piece my partner ate was slightly pink and needed to be cooked a little longer. We decided to make a visit on Easter Sunday. It wasn't extremely busy but had a good amount of people there. Service was good but our server seemed overwhelmed. She seemed to be waiting in a lot of tables. Didn't know that you order and pay from your phone and they bring it out to your table. The app is pretty straightforward for and easy to navigate. Loved it. I'm sure everything on this menu is delicious but we tried the chicken skewers, along with some sides of sweet potatoes, chips, and grilled corn on the cob. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce they have (available in bottles for the table so you can try them all) are delicious and have a unique flavor. I really enjoyed the sweet potatoes! The interior design is thoughtful with water carafes available for easy refills and a sink next to the condiments to be able to wash your sauce covered fingers off. One of my friends found this place and wanted to check it out. You can order at the table by using a QR code or order at the front. They do not have a wait staff that will come to the table to take your order. I ordered the sweet and spicy chicken wrap which had chicken, veggies ,sweet chilli jam and cilantro yogurt. The chicken was really flavorful and everything tasted fresh. The spicy Caesar salad with crunch chick peas was really good as well. We all split a few of the sides which included their fries and Mac n cheese. If you're a fan of the Mac n cheese, you should get them. This place was pretty good and prices were decent as well. How is it possible to be over staffed and understaffed at the same time? There are a ton of employees, and yet no service whatsoever. The walk-ins took ALL of their attention. Our food came out immediately, and we were left wondering about our drinks; we were told the bartender would handle them. I am so sad to not give Nando's a 5 star review! I know Nando's very well from the Washington DC market, it is usually my first stop after the airport and my last stop before the airport. I have been patiently waiting for years for them to come to Dallas. I was extremely disappointed unfortunately :( Ordered two meals at 157pm and received first meal around 215pm and other at 235pm. The second meal was lost, we were done with first meal and waiting on second when server asked if we needed anything and we told her, she forgot and never put the order in or checked on it, we had to go again and ask, finally received our meal 20 minutes after first one came. Told the manager or what appeared to be the manager and she did not care, was rude, and even charged us for a side of mashed potatoes because we wanted to add it as a side with our 1/2 chicken (we did double mashed potatoes with first meal but it was done by the time 2nd meal came). Really disappointed by the service and lack of trying to make things better. I understand it is a new restaurant but they have been open for 2-3 weeks when we went the other day. It takes time to get things going and flowing but service should never be an issue in my opinion. The wrap was not very good, would not order again. Everything else tasted good. read more

This place has a lot of hype (my SIL lived in London for a while and she told us all about it- apparently Nando's is popular on that side of the pond). We went on a Friday night a few weeks after they opened- which honestly was a mistake on our part. Firstly, it was FREEZING outside. I think 23 degrees... so everyone was clamoring to go indoors. The inside was shoulder to shoulder people, and nobody was going anywhere, it was just a big cluster of bodies standing in the entrance. We opted to stay but it was about a 45min wait, and that was only because we got lucky and the hostess felt sorry for us since we had to wait in the cold for a bit, so she gave us a table early. The food was alright- we ordered the wing plate (the wings were small and we were still hungry) but IMO not worth the wait. I'd def consider this casual dining- a step up from fast food but a step down from a sit-down restaurant. If you're looking to go to Nando's, wait for the dust to settle a bit or place your order to-go. read more

You can see in the pics that that size of the chicken is far smaller than the sides which doesn't work out too great on a protein to carbs comparison. Our first time there was a bit confusing. You get seated then you have to order at the counter or from your phone - new and worked for us! We've had the 1/2 chicken, the Kale Cesar salad, and one of the Bowls on 4 different occasions and loved it every time. Service is quick and friendly. I LOVE NANDOS! It's one of my favorite chicken spots and I'm so so soooo happy it's finally come to Dallas! I've had it in overseas in London and Bangladesh and here in Baltimore and Chicago. It's always so good! My go to is the Butterfly chicken - Extra Hot, with a side of red skin mashed potatoes and garlic bread. I haven't had the chance to sit down and eat at this location but even the to go food did not disappoint! The location is a pretty good size and it's brand new so it's great! We tried going a few months ago when it first open but there was no way I was going to make an hour line with a fuzzy 4 month old. So today we were in the area and decided to try and see what all the fuzz was about. Well, food was way better than what I expected. Chicken is thick but does not feel dry in the center at all. We tried the Mango and lime sauce, and the peri Q; I like them both, I'm not a big fan of spicy food but I added a little of the medium sauce and for my surprise it was not too spicy so I enjoyed it a lot, I ended up mixing the peri Q with the lime and herbs sauce and OMG IT WAS THE BEST. We had rice, Cole slaw and fries as a side. They were all good but I would definitely try the mashed potatoes next time instead of the fries. I love the patio, is shaded and has fans, they were so nice to bring us a high chair for our baby and some crayons !! The only thing I have mix feelings about is the service, the hostess was super nice and helpful but you order on the QR or place your order at the counter, they bring the food to your table. It doesn't feel like a restaurant, it felt more like a fast food place, no one went to check on us during our meal, you have to get up and get your own refills, extra napkins, to go boxes and everything you need, so it doesn't really feel like you have a server at all. We had ordered a pitcher with the manager at this location only to find out almost 20 minutes after that they dont make certain pitchers and this was after the manager said she could. I absolutely love the food here, so this review has NOTHING to do with the food. The service/staff here is absolutely atrocious. We ordered take out, and noticed there were no lids for the to go containers for the sauce. When we asked for the lids, they told us they were out, so I asked for a drink container (since they had lids for that) so I could put the sauce in. I was told I needed to pay for that. After pushing back, they essentially shoved one cup in my hand... keep in mind, I'm ordering for a family, so needed different sauces, aka more than one cup. The drink machine was also out of ice, and the syrup in the dispenser for the soda was also out. The sauce bottles were all empty as well. There wasn't a soul that wanted to actually replenish the items. The staff decided to have an attitude, and it wasn't with just me. Multiple patrons had issues as well. The girl at the hostess stand actually got in a screaming match with another patron... Absolutely pitiful, especially because I know what quality at Nando's should be like. Food is tasty and staff are very polite. Be prepared to wait 20 mins at the bar at busy times for a table to open up. Drinks are good. Suggest ordering either the 1/4 or 1/2 chicken as it comes with skin on and delicious sauce rather than chicken breast which was a little dry. If the manager reads this I'd like to recommend you start using the antibacterial table wipes rather than the spray that has become popular at restaurants. Nothing worse than eating a meal and having someone use a spray bottle to clean the table next to you. It got all over our food and in our noses. Also a gluten free option for the wraps would be great. Overall we like the place and will be back! read more
