Haven't been to a Pot Belly in years! Not much has changed aesthetically. Glad I stopped today. FRIENDLY and QUICK service. Shout out to Mila, Shene (my apology ... I'm sure I slaughtered the spelling), and Kim! My skinny Cubano was decent but I LOVED the chicken pot pie soup more. Would most def order that again. The ladies I came with also ordered the chicken pot pie soup and enjoyed it just as much as I did. Gotta respect the effort in trying to stay afloat by any means necessary nowadays. The "pick-your-pair" concept is respected butttt it's soooo disheartening that a smaller cup of soup and a smaller sandwich is costing $12! My bill was $23 ... YIKES! My SINGLE soda was close to $4 on its own. Full transparency, it didn't help that I picked up a 16 oz jar of their signature peppers for my daughter for an additional $7 butttt I still feel some kinda way for having to spend $15+ for basically a half lunch portion. *sigh* Silver lining moment ... we all got a FREE cookie for filling out the survey! I rarely write reviews but I just received 2 Apple Walnut salads with no walnuts ..... AGAIN! I order several salads each month ..... usually 2 at a time. I order the Apple Walnut salad but most of the time the employee who prepares the salad doesn't put the walnuts in the bag. So basically, they advertise an Apple and Walnut salad and I pay the price charged for an Apple and Walnut salad but I usually don't get the walnuts. I called and talked to the Bowie manager months ago, who apologized and said they get really busy and forget. They never forget to charge me the full price. Who doesn't like a Potbelly sandwich, salad, or milkshake? Toasted bread, fresh ingredients, and an assortment of toppings. It always comes through in a clutch. Add a bag of kettle chips or some of those sugar or mini chocolate chip oatmeal cookies and you're good to go! I would've enjoyed my visit much more if the first employee I encountered had even a touch of customer service or even attempted to greet me, but the employee who added my condiments and fixin's made up for her. I've had plenty of sandwiches and salads that I enjoy, so it's hard for me to say what's my favorite, but I do know Potbelly's makes an awesome and filling lunch/dinner for a quick bite. Managerial response to customer inquiry. I had worked the early part of the morning; called POT BELLY for duo lunch delivery (two-day lunch meal); consumed one meal of soup-sandwhich-cola, and almost immediately, I erupted into projectile vomiting & diarrhea like I have never seen before. After cleanup, I telephoned the store and found the voice on the other end to be that of the store manager, who responded to my notification of illness after consuming the first meal of the day. She replied, "You don't have food poisoning! I am not going to give you anything! It has not been three hours since your delivery. Call DoorDash! This tirate concluded with her slamming down the receiver and ending the call. The unnecessary yelling while apparently servicing in-store customers and carrying on a telephone conversation was a first for me. Cooperate was not reachable to deal with this situation and I do not want to see employees and the public subjected to the level of ignorance and callus display of improper customer service. My subsequent ER visit proved her layman diagnosis wrong. read more

While I have grabbed many quick lunches for many many years a various locations, A Wreck & Uptown Chicken Salad are absolute favs, I have yet to try a milkshake. Per the strong recommendation of my reliable 12 year old milkshake connoisseur niece, we went to Potbelly for shakes and for shakes only. When we couldn't decide on which of our top 2 choices, we opted to "share" both the Strawberry topped and Oreo Cookie topped milkshakes. Both were so scrumptious that I can't choose between the 2. Good sized shakes that come with whipped cream, cherry on top, and even a tiny cookie for the low price of $3.99. You can't beat that!! read more

Service is always great and the food fresh & delicious. Their Italian Sub is my favorite but their salads are also enjoyable. If I weren't overweight already, I'd order a milkshake and cookies (Oh soooo sinful), several times a week. But that fantasy will have to remain in my dreams. Give then a try if you're looking for a tasty sub or salad. My children enjoy the Wreck, and Turkey subs. I've pretty much tried them all and enjoy most. My least favorite thing is the grilled cheese; why you ask? Because it's not grilled. ‍ A grilled cheese has to be grilled to qualify. Otherwise, give them a try. read more

This is not about this particular location, but Potbelly in general. During the fall/winter they have this AMAZING pot pie soup, that used to come with homemade delicious pie crust crumbles on top. However, Potbelly has since changed the pie crust crumbles to a non homemade, but store bought crumble, and it's TERRIBLE!! The soup is still delicious, but the crumbles really make is AMAZING! Potbelly, for the sake of all that's good,PLEASE go back to the original crumbles!! read more

A story of redemption via exceptional customer service. I picked up an online order in the evening earlier this week. That experience couldn't have been much worse: the order wasn't given to me until 15 mins after the pickup time provided by Potbelly; the order was missing an item; the items that were included had incorrect toppings; and I was caught in the crossfire of an argument between a difficult customer and an unprofessional front-line employee. I contacted Potbelly customer service and, within hours, the GM of this location called me directly. We discussed the issues with the experience, he was both kind and professional, and he made the situation right. The return trip a couple days later was flawless: the employees were kind and helpful and the food service was prompt and accurate. We will be back anytime we're in the area. read more

This establishment needs more structure and order because it's slow and unorganized and lacks good customer service. I placed a mobile order for a sandwich and soup combo that should have been ready at 3:55. When I arrived at 4:23 my order had not even started and I was informed they had no more of the soup I already PAID for. I then had to wait for my food and request a receipt for proof of refund. All in all this Potbelly is my LAST resort because it's so close to my house. Please try the other food restaurants before going here. read more

Stopped in on my way to D.C. to grab my family some sandwiches. I was in a bit of a hurry and there was a line. I ordered 5 sandwiches and all came out fairly fast. It wasn't Jimmy John's fast but there was a line. The new Turkey Club was really good and my kids enjoyed the chicken and cheddars I ordered them. The sandwiches were good but the 5 stars is for the staff. They were really friendly and didn't seem overwhelmed by the line of people. I was surprised to see the previous reviews were so low. We walked into the restaurant at 8:45 pm on a Saturday night. I immediately noticed the staffs attitude when they saw us walk through the door. The young woman who made our food was not paying attention to the order we gave her, made the wrong sandwich and kept asking "is that it?" every time time we named a topping we wanted to put on the sandwich. She rushed through our entire visit as if she had something better to be doing. I understand that it was almost closing time, but I would still like to be treated just the same as the first customer that walks through the door... especially when I'm spending my money in your business. Just No. The professionalism here is ridiculous. There isn't any...the girl behind the counter acted like we were interrupting her "nothingness". She kept rolling her eyes during our order. I ordered a sandwich and she simply told me no. After my puzzled look as to why I couldn't order the sandwich I wanted. She explained that they ran out of turkey. Saying that instead of responding "no" would have sufficed. Every time I have gone they always don't have something in stock. Especially the brownie cookies. 1) This location does NOT follow their advertised soup rotation. What's the point of having a daily soup menu (both on their own location website AND their automated phone system) if it isn't accurate? 2) The staff was rather rude when I asked about the soup they were supposed to have - as though she didn't understand why I would be confused that they weren't offering a product they were actively advertising as available. This is the WORST store EVER!!! We order food from this location for our office all the time. We like our peppers on the side to prevent our food from getting soggy, but the staff forces us to purchase a jar of peppers than giving us the peppers that would normally come with our order. The staff acts like we are trying to get over, but why should be forced to purchase additional peppers when they come with the salad and sandwiches. Moreover, we found flies in our salads!!! The customer service is horrible. They need new management and staff!!!! From now on, we will drive an additional 25 miles to go to the location in college park. read more

I ordered a salad and it was made incorrectly. The server was not familiar with the items on the menu and did not even try to find out what comes on the Chicken Salad Salad. The ingredients are listed on the large menu posted in the shop (cranberries, provolone, chicken salad, and cucumbers). The only ingredient on my salad that was correct was the chicken salad itself. Ridiculous! This location is fairly new, but there is no excuse. If you are not sure, then ask or check the menu. read more

This location used to be very good. On my most recent trip however I was sorely disappointed in not only the quality of my sandwiches but the attitudes of the employees. I am a former employee not of this location but I'm fully aware of the standard this company would want to uphold & sadly they weren't met today. The first red flag was a health and safety issue. The supervisor/ shift lead blatantly put bacon from my sandwich on a bare counter without wax paper being properly placed down. That was beyond unsanitary & for it to be the supervisor to do this was unacceptable. She also didn't put all the toppings I requested on the first sandwich. My second sandwich the supervisor/shift leader didn't even bother to cut the sandwich AT ALL!!! Her customer service was poor at best. This was a disappointment because up until today I was a regular customer to this particular franchise but not anymore. I'll be telling everyone I know to avoid this establishment due to the poor customer service. read more

The close at 9 p.m and I called a order in at 7:45 only to drive all the way up there and the door was locked at 8:15, they didn't notify me they were closing early and that the register would be closed as soon as I get there. A super inconvenience and waste of my time. When I asked to speak to the manager she said that they are allowed to close at that time which I know is not true because I work across the street at bubbles and mall rules are to not close before 9pm.
