I don't usually go to Nando's a lot but if I do, I love to get the chicken bowl! I like how balanced it is and it is pretty filling! Additionally, if you are a saucy person you can get more sauces to add to your food. They have them on the side and you can add as much as you want to onto your bowl. Sauces range from garlic medium to extra hot sauce so there's bound to be a sauce for everyone to enjoy! Service was good too. We sat inside and got our food relatively fast and we were checked up on pretty often. Note: I didn't know Nando's had a happy hour menu but it looks pretty good and I would love to visit again to try it! For the happy hour, it's available from now until mid July.

I recently stopped at Nando Peri Peri (Towson). It's located directly across from the Towson Towne Center in Towson Square. Nando Peri Peri is South African (SA) based cuisine. Upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable and inviting the interior was. It was as if I stepped into someone's really chill/ laid back home. Vibrant colors everywhere, impressive lighting fixtures throughout the space, vaulted ceiling and a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional. The associate explained what the Elite event entailed and she walked me through all the options available. I truly appreciated that. She even let me taste the sauces b4 making a selection (I opted for Mango Lime). I was also allowed to taste the two juices they offered. SCORE!!! On to the grub-a-dub-dub: 1. Combo & 1 Side: 1/4 Chicken Breast w/ Mango & Lime sauce. The chicken breast was grilled nicely. The meat was moist and full of flavor. A great sized breast for a meal. SCORE!!! 2. I also got an order of PERI Chips (french fries). Crisp on the outside, pillowy inside. Perfect. SCORE!!! 3. To wash everything down, I grabbed a Pineapple Limeade (I mixed the two drinks. EXCELLENT CHOICE!). SCORE!!! There was also a massive condiments area where you could grab pre-packaged utensils, ketchup, napkins and a wide array of sauces you could prepare yourself (w/ the dipping cups provided). The flavored offerings were: a) Lemon & Herb [mild] b) Wild Herb [medium] c) Garlic [medium] d) Straight Medium and e) Straight Hot. I got Sample's of every flavored sauce and left the straight sauces alone (not a massive fan of heat). They were all tasty but BOY-o-BOY, they all STILL had some heat in them. Hooo-wee!!! But man, we're they good!!! SCORE! This was an excellent experience. I will definitely stop thru here again when in Towson.

I was introduced to Nando's in the 90's when I visited London. What I do remember was that I was impressed. I never visited Nando's again. After all these years I came across this location and I wanted to bring up old and tasty memories. A server welcomed me and said I could order at the table or he could help me out. I was seated at the table and was instructed to scan a QR code to order with my phone. I ordered my food a bowl and wings and shortly the items were delivered at my table. It felt like I was ordering out while still at the restaurant. I had already paid for my order after I made my choices on my phone. So after I was done I just left. It felt weird, like a food court at the mall. It didn't have a restaurant feel or experience. The food was okay, the wings were tender and the bowl was filled with fresh ingredients, but flavor wise, it was blend. I know I had the chicken leg back in London, maybe I should've ordered that again. Maybe another time to give it a shot, but then I will do take out and eat it in the comfort of my hotel room. The drink was the best of the whole experience, that was really some good stuff!

When I say Mango Lime 1/4 Breast Chicken is literally the best I've ever taste. Brussel Sprouts were EVERYTHING. From Detroit, Mi and I will definitely be back.... Customer Service was exceptional and atmosphere was a VIBE! 10 stars with 2 thumbs up!

My first time visiting and I would return. It's not anything amazing overall, but the chicken is what helped to give it 5 stars. For the price, it left a lot to be desired. Pros. The chicken was super flavourful and juicy Your party can all order and pay individually. The hostess was super friendly Cons The sides had little to no flavor Food came out far in between even though we all ordered within seconds of each other. It was hard to get staff attention

Nice place to get something to eat. I had the extra hot chicken and boy was it delicious. I tried the Peruvian rice for the first time. It had a nice spicy taste to it but, not sure what made the texture gritty. I am very particular about the textures of good sometimes. I think I would not get the rice again. It was very different. But, I say try it because you just may like it. Employees here are very friendly and welcoming.

"Charred sweet potatoes with cinnamon sugar", it's definitely charred. Inedible.

I placed a take-out order using the online ordering system. I was supposed to receive my order at 4:06pm. I didn't receive it until 4:37pm. I tried the charred sweet potato and cinnamon sugar for the first time. It was awful and looked very unappealing. Looked nothing like the pics on their website. I honestly wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. I also ordered the full chicken platter and was supposed to receive 2 large sides but one of my sides was a regular one, not large. The service wasn't good and the food did not make up for it. The girl who was getting the orders ready and putting them on the shelf put my order on the shelf even though I was standing right there waiting for more than 1/2 hour. I have attached pics of the inedible charred sweet potato I received. I submitted a complaint and I will update this review if/when I hear back from management. 11/2/2021 update: I heard back from the GM of the restaurant I visited. He offered a free meal and side or refund, as well as apologized. I have updated my review to 3 stars from the previous 2.

My friends and I stopped here for a quick lunch for the our friend's graduation and everything was so good. When you come in you can sit wherever and order with the QR code on the table and then everything will be brought out to you. The staff was so nice and and it was a good aesthetic inside. I ordered the chicken breast sandwhich with avocado and the lavender honey lemonade and it was so good.

So we have been going to Nando's for quite some time , mostly in the UK . Every time we come this way we try to pop in . The chicken is always hot and the sides are a good size . It's an easy menu with just enough variety especially if you don't feel like chicken. Tonight we finally got the Brussels sprouts. They are usually not available but they were perfectly cooked and taste good . Glad we finally mage it . It's a good place for hot quick and healthier food.

I am very disappointed! You were my favorite restaurant. For the price you charge, you give a pathetic amount of sides. A spoon of mashed potato really? How unhappy can your worker be to screw up your quality for take outs? You might want to make this right because you charge a good amount for small chicken parts already now you are screwing the sides too? Nandos you are better than this!

What a change this place had since the last time I've been here! Wow! This place is fantastic! The service was fantastic, everyone was super friendly and checked on us throughout the meal. You order up front and they give you a table number to sit at and they bring you your food! The food was delicious and well seasoned and reasonably priced and proportioned. The overall feel of the restaurant is welcoming and clean! All of the tables and seats were clean, there was lots of room to sit.

The food flavors are dynamic combination of tangy to mild to hot, your choice of temperature. There are four flavors for the dishes. The Rosé Sangria was do good as it was not overly sweet. Every dish is freshly made and you savor it all in a cacophony of flavors, especially with the Golden Cauliflower! The super-seeds atop the sweet chili sauce covered cauliflower made this dish for me. The staff were extremely attentive as each person who delivered our dishes came back around and inquired about our satisfaction; this rarely occurs. The ambiance is cozy and spacious with access to the different sauces for your tasting pleasure! It was such a wonderful dining experience!

The awning outside needs refurbishment and inside furniture is not updated. It's dark inside, almost like a night club. Perhaps it is sometimes. I felt that staff lacked a bit of professionalism and they rarely checked on us. The plates are huge. That is a plus. My partner ordered the goat and I tried the red snapper. I think one plate is big enough to share. I like the spinach, but everything needed a bit of salt. While the red snapper was coated in a lovely tomato and red pepper gravy, I felt it made the crispyness of the fried fish disappear and it was kind of soggy. Maybe you can ask for the gravy on the side. The food is not bad, but given the physical establishment and the service I wouldn't return.

The spiced coating on the Plantains and lightly spiced peanuts do not overtake the sweet kiss of the fried Plantains, although, some will be more Tostones-flavored and textured. They are also good with the sauces that come with the Chofi. Chofi's fried turkey tails. Similar to Chicharron de Pollo but smaller and a tad fattier. We added a side of Jollof, which honestly, it should automatically come with, considering the price. FANTASTIC dishes together! After all of that, no room for dessert, although we were gonna get the Malva cake. It does come with ice cream and we simply had no room. We took everything for leftovers because it's that much food. There are some gorgeous pieces of beaded jewelry, artwork, clothing, and more in this store. This is an authentic African collection store so you can find just about anything that you'd like that will relate to your African roots. Mr. Kwame was really pleasant, friendly, he engaged his customers, and he just innately knew what we liked or what he thought would be pretty on us. Blue is my favorite color and he picked out this wonderful dress and I fell in love with it instantly. It fits well, has pockets, and a belt to match. My daughter came into the store and before she could begin to browse, he took one look at her, pulled the mannequin inside, and removed the dress from it. He gave it to her with a humble, rather gorgeous smile, and said, "This was made just for you." She turned to see that it was the dress from the mannequin and once again the words, "I love it!," were squeaked into the air. She went to the fitting room to try it on and it fit very well. So we bought it! She wore the dress right out of the store. I changed into mine later and pinned my hair up with the beaded hair pin. Mrs. Sandy got the orange and yellow dress with a bracelet. She absolutely loved that too. You cannot go wrong in this store. I really thought that he was not going to have anything to fit me because I have such large bosoms, however he did. It surprised me. I highly recommend this establishment. Tell Mr. Kwame that the "Shawn, Lady in Blue" sent you. LoL! 5 Stars.

The sommelier went over the extensive wine list and helped us pick a nice red that paired well with our chosen dishes- it was called Yacoubian Hobbs from Armenia. The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming- you could dress up or down, pretty much anything goes! The walls are lined with colorful patterns and draped tapestries to create a high end living room vibe. Now for the fun part- THE FOOD! The first dishes brought out were the mouneh (pickled veggies), the honey soaked dates, and the three spreads (we selected the hummus with lamb on top for an additional $15, havuc, and beet borani). I'll add that they continuously bring out fresh, warm pita throughout the whole meal. The lamb hummus was savory and well-balanced, but very rich. The havuc had a beautiful lightness from the carrots and I loved the textural element of the crispy onions on top. The beet borani also added a welcomed freshness throughout the meal and was vibrant, light, and had wonderful yogurt flavors. The underrated dish were the pickled veggies because INSANE. I used these in bites during the entire meal and they all had a unique flavor as if they were each pickled in a special way- my favorites were the white radish and scallions. The honey dates were a sweet palette cleanser and cut through the savory elements of the meal. We continued on with the next round consisting of the field lettuce salad, the three condiments (we chose the toum, chermoula, and harissa), halloumi, omani shrimp, and chickpeas. The field lettuce salad had a zesty vinaigrette and I appreciated the acidity addition of the sliced oranges and the crunchy, salted pistachios. The toum was a garlicky aioli that I felt was best paired with the chickpeas- although all the dips were delicious with all the dishes and the pita. The harissa was a lighter version than I am used to, spicy, and paired well with the veggies and ribeye. The chermoula was my favorite and paired best with the ribeye- it reminded me of a flavorful and herbaceous chimichurri. The halloumi had a sweet honey and was grilled perfectly, paired with nice crunchy nuts. The chickpeas had a lovely consistency and were well seasoned- I think it was sumac, but whatever it was, I couldn't get enough. The shrimp were ONE OF MY FAVORITE dishes from the whole meal. They were juicy, seasoned perfectly, charred, and just chefs kiss. I enjoyed them with the chermoula and squeeze of lime. The main dishes and veggies came during our final (besides dessert) round. We ordered the sayadieh as part of the table experience and also added a ribeye to the order. We had ordered the charred carrots, but they accidentally brought us the wildflower honey zucchini instead, so we were lucky enough to be able to try both. The branzino (sayadieh) absolutely blew my mind. It was citrusy, spicy, seasoned with bright spices, and incredibly moist. I would honestly skip the ribeye- it was cooked to a nice medium rare and had a nice flavor, but I don't think it compared to the rest of the meal. The charred carrots were spicy, cooked soft- also one of the standouts. The zucchini was served beautifully and I enjoyed the sauce, but could also skip next time. We ended the meal with the bitter orange sorbet and the chocolate mousse. The sorbet was a nice palette cleanser as it had zest in the mix and was very light after the heavy meal. The chocolate mousse was very rich and had a new balance of chocolate and peanut flavors. They brought over complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate my birthday as well :) I cannot wait to come back to try more of the menu and I am so happy to have had a diverse taste of the Middle East. I'll also add that we had a HUGE bag of leftovers that lasted several meals and they packaged it up like true professionals. A food lover completely satisfied and eager to get back :)

A popular spot near Adams Morgan. The restaurant features Middle Eastern grilled food. In fact,…read morethere were several fire grills in the center of the first floor of the restaurant (it has two floors), and you can see the staff constantly grilling the meats, fish, vegetables and pita. This, together with the dark vibe, made me feel as if I were eating with ppl. from B.C. in a cave. Very interesting. I like that. For food, I got the Carrot Havuc, Omani Shrimp and Halloumi. But first I was served with some freshly made whole wheat pita. They were soft, chewy and earthy. The Carrot Havuc was basically a carrot+garlic puree. Very silky, refreshingly sweet, and a bit sour. The sourness may come from the garlic and lemon. Paired well with the pita and meats. The Omani shrimp came with 5 pieces, each shrimp was ~1oz so it was not very filling. The shrimp were meaty, fresh, juicy, though I wish it could be less salty, even if I already asked for less salt. The shrimp was said to be marinated with dried lime and tamarind but I could only taste the flavor of dried lime. The Halloumi cheese was brushed wild flower honey and topped with Egyptian dukkah, then baked until the outside was golden brown. It was salty and sweet, and the (tons of) sesame seeds added some fragrance to it. However, the peanut was too roughly chopped so that they fell off from the cheese when I slice it, and thus difficult to eat with the cheese. Service was not worth the 20% mandatory tip. For example, when I asked about the sourness of the Carrot Havuc, he did not know why and said he would "taste it and let me know where the sourness came from". Unfortunately, he did not tell me until I asked again when doing the check (I doubt if he tasted it in the first place). Neither did he ask me about the other dishes. Overall, the dishes were great but not impressive, and was mostly heavily flavored. The service could be improved.

Unfortunately, this location didn't hold up. The ordering process was a mess from the start. They were out of boneless chicken, so we pivoted to a half chicken... only to be told they were out of that too. Then it turned out they did have it. We ordered the hummus appetizer and got the side portion instead, which meant another trip to the counter to sort it out. We ordered medium peri peri sauce and got something noticeably spicier. Too tired and hungry to send it back, we just ate it... and the meal just didn't hit the way Nando's usually does. The mushy peas we'd been looking forward to aren't even on the menu anymore, which was its own small disappointment. On the bright side, I ordered a 5 oz glass of wine and got what looked like a double pour. Not complaining... but it does sum up the vibe. The staff seemed indifferent, whether it was end-of-night fatigue or just an off-night, hard to say. We'll probably give Nando's another shot elsewhere, but this DC visit was disappointing enough that I can't really recommend this location.
