While a heavier bun might work if they used chicken thigh, it felt a bit much for breast meat. It would have been much better toasted, or if they just used a completely different, lighter bun altogether. ​Overall, I'm really happy to see Nando's introducing a new menu item. Their dishes are largely based upon the PERi-PERi chilli that was born in Mozambique, spent its influential teenage years being influenced by Portuguese explorers, and later found its home and settled down in Rosettenville, South Africa. And you thought you had an interesting origin story! Although their Afro-Portuguese chicken creations taste already deliciously marinated, you are more than welcome to supplement your meal from a selection of choices at their "spicy chilli sauce bar." However, be for-warned that their Extra Hot PERi-PERi is self-described as, "Like tackling a ferociously fiery dragon." I believe it's a new branch so we are not sure if the service is as good as other Barcelos branches. I must say, this is the best branch of Barcelos when it comes to customer service.
