Just got my order via grubhub.com. I ordered steamed shrimp dumplings and shrimp pad thai. The steamed shrimp dumplings were DISGUSTING...soggy!!!! No trace of shrimp at all...one bite and I threw it away The pad thai...now I know all restaurants have their own way of making pad thai but this was a spicy thick noodle dish...NOT pad thai. First, it was way too spicy to be pad thai, not I don't mean that it was too spicy for me to eat, but it did not have that sweet flavorful feel of pad thai, it was waaaay too spicy. The frozen mini shrimp they used was barely viewable. Again, it was so spicy I could not taste anything else. I ate the mini shrimp out of it and threw the rest away. Now, onto the best part, the FOOD! Keep in mind this is a Asian Fusion restaurant (Indian and Thai). The portions are also large so great for sharing, Indian food: My favorite is the SAMOSA CHAAT, it is plate licking good even better with lots of tamarind sauce. I sometimes have a moment where I find myself licking the plate but then I wake up from day dreaming at the empty plate. The Lamb Vindaloo is delicious, I prefer the lamb over the chicken. If your a samosa person, definitely try it, Thai food: By far one of the best Shrimp Pad Thai in Queens. It's really really good. Definitely get it if you're contemplating what to get while looking over the Thai selections. I do not drink, but my siblings always get the Lychee Martini. Once again Yelp is right on the money. I use Nanking a lot for catering for my business. I work in a South Aisan neighborhood so one nice thing about Nanking is that they are strictly Halal and they are reliable delivery. I like the lamb chops ... just the right amount of seasoning not too spicy cooked on a grill. If you like spicy i suggest the Haka chili chicken or the kai chi. All of the nan and kolchah is baked to order in the tandoor. It is chewy but not doughy. The garlic naan is delicious. The onion kolchah is also good. Made the decision to go here for food to celebrate the end of the semester. Best decision ever! My friend and I ordered the drums from heaven as a appetizer, which was good. However, we felt like only the outside had flavor, they should of pre seasoned the meat but it was tasty overall. We also ordered the fried chili lamb, that was good it was spicy to my friend but I had to request the spiciest pepper they had available to eat with my food. They did cook it with some type of pepper. My friend ate it and almost died lol, I ate it no problem. I guess that dish just depends on tolerance. We got into the JFK HIlton late, after driving down from Portland. Didn't want to go back out, didn't want hotel food, so turned to Yelp and found that Nanking delivers! Ordering online was fast and simple through the Yelp app, and the driver showed up within 5 minutes of the delivery time estimate. He was toting multiple bags and chatting to the hotel manager, so clearly this is an ongoing relationship they have. The food was perfectly fine - we had Lamb Vindaloo, Thai fried rice and Samosas. The portions are HUGE, so be warned. Everything was hot, flavorful, tasty, and not oily -- which is awesome for fried rice and samosas! We ordered "spicy" - 3 out of 4 on the choice-o-meter, and personally I think it was mild to medium, but everyone reacts differently. The naan is massive - one piece will feed two for sure. We ordered garlic naan, which is *really* garlicky, so if killing vampires with your breath is not your thing, maybe go with the plain :) Our whole order came to less than $40 before tip. I'm a fan for trying new plates with every new visit, but I'm unable to do so with Nanking. Once you try a good dish, you'll probably be asking for the same dish during your future visits. I usually order the Shrimp curry. Such a simple name for a dish that packs so much flavor. I'm never disappointed with this dish, because they're never scanty with the curry. The samosas are great and my boyfriend likes the garlic naan and shrimp with hot garlic sauce.... We ordered delivery from Nanking, and it was seriously awful. I ordered a Thai Green Curry. What I received was an overly sweetened, bland chicken that was neon green in color. I'm pretty sure they made a generic sauce like you'd find at any Chinese American restaurant, then literally dyed it green with food coloring. Maybe they just melted Laffy Taffy into the dish. That'd explain both the sweetness and the fact that my tongue turned green for the rest of the night. Ick. I'll bet $10 that their red curry is the exact same dish, but with red food coloring instead. My wife ordered Tom Kha. It tasted like vinegar-y coconut milk, and the chicken was dyed red. The dish wasn't even supposed to have chicken in it, which is great for my wife who can't eat it. Bonus points: our rice smelled like chlorine. The whole meal was revolting. We could only get through a couple bites. $30 down the drain. Honestly, I have no idea why this restaurant has 4* on Yelp. If you want shoddy food that relies on food coloring rather than flavor, Nanking is the place for you. Oh, and don't order it when you're in a rush. They say its an Chinese Thai and Indian fushion restaurant but it's mostly Indian as its run by Indian ppl. We ordered the papaya salad, chicken pad Thai, and indian chicken Tikka Masala and the chicken Biryani rice. The papaya salad was good but wasn't as authentic Thai as I've hoped. Same goes with the pad Thai. The Biryani chicken was good, chicken was very tender. Tikka Masala was very flavorful. Initially we thought the portion was small but we realized it was because of the small plates and bowl, because it actually filled us up and we even took some to go. It really pains me to write this because I have ordered from here a number if times over the past year and I have never been disappointed. Today was a totally different experience. While ordering and picking up the food was seamless, upon entering my car with the food, I smelled something that didnt quite sit right. I ordered the snapper filet with szechuan sauce, lobster with garlic sauce, chilli lamb, shrimp dumplings and chilli garlic rice and naan. I had ordered all of these dishes at least once before and the only thing that tasted normal was the chili garlic rice and the naan. The dumplings fell apart and were not fully steamed. The lobster was 90% breading and 10% lobster. The lamb had an odd taste and that smell...that was the fish. It is usually flaky and flavorful but this tasted old and hard. All of the entrees also cam eight basmati rice that was mushy and not cooked the way it normally is prepared. We spent a great deal of money because we wanted to support during this time but this was not it. I cant believe that the quality has deteriorated especially because they condensed the menu and raised some of the prices. I'm hoping that this is just rare occurrence but this has definitely soured me on takeout post quarantine. Please do better. read more

Both were fine though bhel could have been crisper and would have liked more chutney as portion was very very small. Main courses were both tasty, the lentils, chicken tikka masala and fish curry. Glad we went with waiters recommendation. Naan was ok but tawa naan not proper tandoori naan. Disappointed no papads (large lentil crisp) available to accompany the meal. This is a very nice authentic place. The mixture of Thai and Indian foods are a delightful combo. Very lovely ambiance. Parking could be challenging since it's on the Blvd but the friendly staff and good food makes up for it. I got basil fried rice and panang curry with tofu had me mesmerized. Delivered on time food still hot. Fyi the sweet sour chicken is Not breaded but still very good. I am used to onions in mine. Theirs has none. You can select the level of spice. Only complaint is they did not say that the rice came with dish thru the Yelp site. Yes it should be common sense. But I'm not from here and wasnt sure. Hindsight I should have called or looked at a different site. In any case, I now have a ton of rice. What came with and the side that I ordered. This portion size is HUGE. IT is 3.5+ servings in my opinion. I check/fly out tomorrow so keep that in mind when you order. I really wanted an appetizer to go with but just didn't want ANOTHER chicken which it seemed to be a lot of. Lots of entree menu choices. Nanking is a chain that serves multiple different cultures of foods. The other locations seem to be just okay. And when I initially think of a menu that does everything I don't expect them to be superb at any since they are too general. However, when I mentioned ordering from this location for my work lunch the staff could not hold back their positive reactions of how good this place is. We ordered delivery and it came in 45 minutes. The lunch special pad Thai included Tom yum Soup and a little desert.
