My boyfriend and I were wanting to try somewhere new but weren't sure what. Then I saw this place had Monte Cristo sandwiches and I had to give the place a shot! The sandwich was really good! Just enough sweet on the outside, like lightly sweetened french toast with really good cheese and meat inside. I got the fresh fruit as the side. They give you a lot of it wasn't that flavorful. My boyfriend got the Cafe Omelette, which he devoured cause it was so good! He also got the fruit and felt the same as I did. We both go thai ice coffees, also not too sweet so that was good. They also gave us this fruit oatmeal dessert thing that was very tasty! All in all we were very happy with our choices and plan to try more very soon! read more

We needed a quick lunch because we had a 2pm appointment with the transport company and because we had spent too much time at the Bank we really didn't have very many choices. Found this place and it wasn't busy so we ordered without spending much time looking at the menu Hamburger came out quickly, French fries looked real and not frozen, they tasted better than other places too. I ordered an iced tea with berry flavor and was pleasantly surprised, wasn't too sweet and wasn't the boring regular iced tea. Did not take pics because had no time but if in the area I will go back. Nano is a great example of what a great local diner should be. Last week was my first time there as I am not a local, but I do have my own local diner I frequent so my experience will be based off of that. Great customer service: perhaps it was because it was Sunday morning and they have a heavy brunch crowd, but I was impressed by just how much waitstaff they have. They not only made sure that my iced tea never made it past half full, but it was clear that they had great camaraderie with one another which goes a long way in making your dining experience a pleasant one. Solid food: I ordered their cinnamon French toast and I found it to be delicious. Huge generous portion drizzled with powdered sugar and syrup....too good. Their home fries were quite tasty as well. The kitchen was busy and churning out food quickly, always a good sign. The space: Clean and well lit. Busy but never cluttered or a sense of claustrophobia. They have inside and outside seating and can handle larger groups, but you might have to wait on weekend brunch days. The price is decent, but to be expected in the monrovia/arcadia area. This place is a family favorite! This review is long overdue, my family has been coming here since it opened and we've continued for all these years. The service is always amazing and the cafe itself is very warm and welcoming. Great place for all ages and they're always very helpful and accommodating. Their menu has new specials and has a great verity of breakfast and lunch items! A good time to come is Friday for lunch, it's not too busy. They have outdoor seating and indoors they have plexiglass in between tables, which is nice during these covid times. My favorites on the menu would include the cinnamon roll French toast, the omelets, salads as well as their club sandwich. The French fries always come out fresh too! We've been ordering DoorDash for brunch lately and we always go back to Nano Cafe. The portions are generous and the quality of the food is amazing. Our favorite is the kimchi fried rice and the kimchi cream pasta. Both are packed with kimchi and are so addicting. We also usually order Thai iced teas also because it is never overly sweet. Their prices may seem expensive, but their quality and portion size justifies it. The kimchi fried rice also came with a small side of soup. This soup was amazing!!! It was their take on chicken noodle soup. The chicken meatballs were flavorful and moist. I would order a whole bowl of this. Today we ordered through DoorDash and there was a rose pen inside of the bag. We thought they forget their pen, but there was also a pen stand. It's so cute and such a nice surprise! A sweet gift for Mother's Day. Nano cafe will always be one of our top choices to go to. read more

Admittedly, Nano Cafe was my favorite place to dislike for a short bit. This was several years ago. Even though I felt this way, I've always been one to gamely try something until I either find something to like, or can confidently say that it doesn't fit the bill. At Nano, for sure the thing I LOVE is the Bulgogi bowl. It is every bit savory, flavorful, stick to your ribs gooood! While the dish is best any time of day (I think), the fried egg on top qualifies it as breakfast. Drizzle a little sriracha sauce on top and you're golden. The egg yolk mixes in with the glass noodles and beef to give it an almost gravy / saucy texture. The carrots give you a tinge of not-so-overwhelming sweetness and the steamed rice rounds everything out. I tried to be good by not devouring the entire (pretty sizable) plate and saved half for either later today or breakfast, tomorrow. This dish comes with soup or salad -- I was given chicken soup, the soup of the day. This alone, is worth getting it's own serving. The broth was super clean and oh-so-flavorful with hints of bay leaf, taragon, tasty chicken and well prepared carrots, onions, garlic, and celery. I will say this batch was a tinge on the salty side, but it was easily forgiven for the rich flavors. Service -- as always -- was top notch. We felt well taken care of. I will be back and maaaaybe might try something else -- but that bulgogi bowl is a tough one to beat. read more

Went for a weekday breakfast with a friend who was craving pancakes. The outdoor area is almost completely closed in, so if you are just starting to feel comfortable dining in public you may not like the set up. Service was very friendly and pleasant, but the food was not good at all. We shared the salmon eggs benedict, egg was perfectly poached but salmon was cold, pale white color, and bland. The pancakes were tough and chewy. You can't cut through with a knife and syrup won't soak through easily.
