We stopped in to check the spot out for a special event. We loved the really fun atmosphere. They had a lovely big bar, ample seating, a billards room, and a dart board. They even have a stage. They have specials that include $1 oyster Thursdays, Taco night. Karaoke and live music on the weekends. We ordered the blackened chicken sandwich and shrimp po boy. I loved the fact that they were blackened and not breaded shrimp, and they lemon aioli was to die for. I like that the fries were seasoned and crisp. For beverages, I got a dirty Shirley, and my husband opted for a regular Shirley Temple. Service was prompt, and they were happy to accommodate our allergies and wishes. We definitely will return to try the jambalaya and gumbo. They also have alligator bites and beignets.

Great place to see live music on a Friday night. A little too loud for conversation, but that's to be expected. I have to remove a star for the extremely long wait - two hours for just a salad and a quesadilla - but the staff was friendly and apologetic. I'd most likely go back and give them another chance in the future.

White chicken wings and less than appealing/tasting "dip"!

The steamed clams for $15/dz were soaked in an awful juice of some sort! Gator bites were chewy, not flavorful the dip was like mayonnaise! The white chicken wings were extremely dry, bacon was way over cooked, the jambalaya looked like vomit, tasted like the chicken was soaked in propane. Fried pickles were WHOLE spears and the dip was again mayonnaise!! Would NOT recommend this place at all!!

Seems to be a very popular place at least on Thursday afternoons during happy hour. I believe they do 25 cent wings on Thursdays during h.h. (11-7 every day except Sunday), so yeah, that's probably why. They run a standard h.h. beer pour special of buy one get one half off, and that's every day of the week from 11-7 except Sundays. Not bad. They have 24 libations on tap, most being craft beers. I tried a couple of different ones that I uploaded pictures of. Some of the beers on tap the day I visited: Founders Breakfast Stout, Shmaltz 518 Foggy Goggles IPA (which I really like), Barrier 6 American IPA (also very, very good), Sloop Liquid Sorcery, several Goose Island drafts, a Sixpoint, and a Singlecut (out of Queens, NY) Beersmith's IPA (also excellent!) and obviously many more. They certainly do food here, but this time 'round we didn't order grub. The interior decor kinda reminded me of New Orleans, but wasn't super convincing...and that's ok. I like that they have a sizeable stage in the corner and obviously bring in live music acts as well. Next time I'm here, I'll try some food and do and updated review. Beertender service was quite good and friendly, despite the fact they were busy. The two women running the bar were attentive and patient as we made multiple choices and both checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were all good. Nice.

    Good selection of craft beers.

Never had to ask for water refill. *Reasonable prices on lower end considering quality and quantity of food *Descriptive menu! Separate page of Specials for day. *Variety of desserts available *Basket of delicious apples available at door My daughter and I stopped for lunch at 12:30 for lunch. We were amazed at the prices for salmon. $15.95 Our choices from among all the tempting offerings: --Black and Blue Steak Caesar Salad - Steak was plentiful and tender! OUTSTANDING flavor and value! $17.95 Check out photo. --Fish and Chips - Fresh Haddock was battered in a light coating. Fries were shoestring size and crispy. I would have preferred larger size fries. Coleslaw was fresh but had little savory flavor or seasonings. Seafood sauce was unusual. It was chunky with horseradish but not too strong as expected from the amount of horseradish in it. It had minimal ketchup. It was good but not great. --Tiramisu to share was a little too boozy for our taste. However, the Mascarpone cheese based cream filling was delicious. $7.95 Ordered a Cheeseburger for my Grandson and fries on a Kaiser Roll to go. It was excellent. Only $10.95! Gave waitress/server a 30% tip! I wish the restaurant was closer so I could go more often and possibly order takeout too.

It's nothing fancy, no lavish decorations, but nice and clean with a beach front feeling. The menu was huge, something for everyone! Our server was the bar tender who was courteous and friendly. I decided on trying a hamburger with American cheese and mushrooms, my buddy had a Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were excellent. The burgers are 1/2 pound! We both agreed that this place was a good find and easily located right off interstate 87 at exit 13S. Prices are reasonable and the food is good! Definitely worth it.

Located right on the corner of U.S. Route 9 and Malta Ave in Ballston Spa, the outside is pretty low-key. The parking lot was a bit dark, with most of the light coming from the building itself but don't let that fool you. You walk in and you're right at the bar , with plenty of seating barside or table, if that's your vibe. Not into sitting up front? No problem, there's additional seating in the back for a more relaxed feel. Service was a win. Our waiter was courteous, attentive, and accommodating without hovering. Now the food, the Gooouda Burger caught my eye immediately. I ordered it bunless, wrapped in buttery romaine lettuce, topped with crispy bacon and fried onions. Paired it with their straw fries (seriously good) and a cold beer to wash it down. First bite? Exactly what you want. Food to temp, everything was crisp not soggy, the burger was cooked perfectly, even at well done, which is not easy to pull off. I can only speak for the burger, but based on that alone: don't judge this place by its exterior. Give it a shot, you might be pleasantly surprised. (And yes... the picture is of a burger I couldn't wait to bite into )

So, you might want to check them out on Facebook before attempting to seek them out off Exit 8 of the Northway. Are they worth seeking out or stopping by if you are in the neighborhood? First of all, their menu is limited, sandwiches (chicken, burger, hot dog, sausage, egg), tenders, fries, rings, mozzarella sticks, hash browns, poppers and drinks. Maybe it'll expand in the future. My first experience was trying the Sausage, Pepper & Onion sandwich ($9) and Onion Rings ($4). Keeping in mind that I've generally made at least one annual excursion to a competitor about 2,000 feet East on this road to satisfy my sausage sandwich and onion ring craving for the last 25 years, I was curious if anything here would come close to satisfying. While we waited for our order, we spoke with the wife of the husband-and-wife team owning the food truck. Very personable people. Our food was obviously made-to-order since we waited at least 10 minutes for the carryout container to be handed to us. Opening the container at home was the first surprise. Expecting to see a sausage patty on a hamburger bun, instead we saw a long link of sausage on a section of a sub-style roll - think county-fair sausage peppers and onions. This sausage was delicious. It had good texture, flavor, and spiciness. Peppers were a combination of chopped red, yellow, and green, and the onions did not overpower. The roll was fresh and soft. This may be my new preference. The onion rings were a surprise also. The coating was thick, very crunchy, and did not fall off the onion. The other standout was that there was no oily mess. Even as they later cooled, they did not have that lingering taste of oil. There is no question that I'll be back to try something else. Parking is available behind the food truck. Pull in the driveway alongside the food truck.
