They made me feel like I was bothering them to place an order. They couldn't have cared less about me or the next one in line. (There was no one else in line. Just me and one other inside.) The food was good. But, they have Peak iced tea. You know, the kind that isn't brewed. It's out of a plastic syrup bag and tastes awful. If you are taking tacos to go on your out of town, or on the way to the beach, I'd say check this place out. If you're dining in, I'd go with avoid. The food, for what is, was good. I was taken aback by how dense the in-house flour tortillas were - if you like your breakfast tacos to eat more like a sandwich (in a good way), this might be the place for you in Corpus. I also was happy to have real shredded cheese on my egg and bacon taco, and was pleasantly surprised by how perfectly wet the eggs were. The house hot sauce was also spot on. The migas taco was tasty, but not at all healthy - think baseball nacho chips, halved and then fried in oil before being added to some onions, eggs and tomatoes. The orange juice was bottled, from concentrate, and not sufficiently cold. I'm subtracting stars because the interior ambiance is lacking, and the customer service was similarly poor. The cashier closed out a tab at the drive-thru and then took a new car's order before even acknowledging our presence. The car got there after we did, so that was doubly irritating. Nano's. is. tha. shiz. Seriously. The food is great. The tortilla's are the size of your face, and home made. The sweet little lady's in the back are always cooking something great. The Carne Guisada is heavenly. Breakfast is grand. It's all good, really. You have to love hole-in-the-wall places if you intend to eat here, but this one is the best. It's a bit pricey, and they do nickel and dime you (charge for refills, charge for extra salsa, etc.) But the hot sauce is one of a kind. and again, the tortillas.. I live in Austin where tortillas tend to be measly or store bought. So this is a big selling point. I left there today with a dozen tortilla's to go. Just bring cash to pay for your refills or take it slow on the soda (which is often hard to do when hungover.) read more

This place is NOT the best taco place in Corpus. My husband went to pick up tacos and was the 2nd person in line. He ordered 10 breakfast tacos and it took over an hour!!! An hour.... for egg, bacon and cheese and egg, potato and cheese. Come on.... it doesn't take that long and they weren't even spectacular tacos. The best thing about it was the creamy salsa... First time here. and it is Awesome ! I love these tacos! The places is a great neighborhood "secret". I ordered the breakfast special and 1 extra chorizo & egg . wow, the tortillas are so soft and light but have the right thickness. The tacos are not small they are portions for a "guy". I had the Moonshine sweet tea. The picante sauce they have is a good hot but flavorful. I recommend breakfast but they have lunch also. I have return to try the enchilada plate. Yummy tortillas but the tacos themselves were just okay and SO GREASY. Here's what I got: - Chorizo & Egg: Really no flavor. Just a little salt can go a long way, but it was just straight egg and barely any chorizo. The chorizo was minced impossibly small. I might as well of just had scrambled egg. - Barbacoa: Pretty good, but incredibly greasy. It was just pouring out of the tortilla. - Guacamole: It was just mashed avocados. This place is good but the customer service sucks! If you are not a regular here then there is a few things you need to know. 1) you order at counter when you walk in. I sat at my table for 6 mins. until a worker said you order up here. Ok....I saw a waitress taking a table side order for her family only. 2) you pick up order when they call your number. Their food is amazing but their customer service has always sucked I've been going here for years and I only come back because the tacos are good and the sauce is good. I like going to nano's taco run. I go for breakfast and always the tacos are great and big enjoyed them I like their orange juice it's just the place I enjoy going to.
