Best breakfast tacos in town! It's nice that they have a drive-thru. Perfect place to go on a weekend morning. We always order the huge breakfast tacos called the "jumbo tacos". They put a little bit of everything in it, including several types of meat, eggs, cheese, etc. and it's HUGE. Be ready to take a nap after eating one of those bad boys. Their salsa they serve is perfect for the tacos - it's kind of creamy! If you eat inside then they will give you a huge squirt bottle full of the salsa to use. If you order to-go then you have to pay for a big cup of salsa but it's still cheap. We got an 8oz cup of salsa for a couple bucks, so it's worth it. It's pretty spicy. We've also tried their barbacoa which was delicious!! Their corn tortillas are super thick though and reminded me of pita bread. Other than that, everything here has been amazing! read more

Don't come here, they overcharge your card. Nowhere in their restaurant or any sign says they charge 3% in their credit card transaction and even with the charge, I did the math and it didn't add up. Nano's is the BEST! I now live in Austin/ daughter son live in Kingsville, and this is always our first stop when we come back into town. We always order the same tacos. The boys only get the carne ASADA, my daughter only gets potato and egg, and I get migas and egg a la Mexicana. The salsa is the best! I've been going to Nano's for a long time (since 1978) and I've always liked their food. Today I noticed a new cook in the back. I ordered Huevos Ranchero with 3 eggs over easy and bacon, potatoes and refried beans. All three eggs were totally overcooked. Zero liquid in the yolk. The bacon, had clearly been sitting in a pile for a LONG time and was so salty I couldn't eat it, which is a first. It was terrible. Normally there would be 3 or 4 strips. This time there were 8. It was very disturbing to leave 71/2 strips of bacon on the plate. The beans were dry and also salty. The potatoes were good. Small chunks and crispy. The flour tortillas were very good. Normally I enjoy my meals at Nano's, but from now on, if I see that cook in the back, I'll do a 180 at the door and go somewhere else. read more

We lived in CC for almost 3 years. Discovered this place within days of moving there. Ate there almost every Saturday morning. The Machacado and Egg plate is AMAZING!!! Just got done with lunch here and it was outstanding. It is a hole in the wall, but like usual those are the best places. For less than $10 bucks got an awesome lunch. They were a good size however the tortillas almost tasted store bought. She said they were a little greasy. I had bean and egg. The beans were heavy. Corpus Christi, Texas, often seems as if it has very little to recommend itself. The once-thriving industrial seaport decided to re-cast itself as a vacation destination sometime in the 1970s, and it's been downhill ever since. (The south-Texas shale boom may yet save things, but ask how that went in 2030.) A shuttered downtown, big-city-bad traffic, and a too-comfortable political class keep things frozen in seemingly permanent decline. Corpus Christi could be great: it is blessed with better geography than Houston could ever dream of. But it is not. Not yet. So why go to Corpus Christi, then? There are two big reasons, in my view. The first is to see family. My family is from here. That's a good reason to go. They're fine people. But you're not here to read about my family. You're here to read about the second big reason to visit Corpus Christi: It's Nano's Taco Run. Texans, and especially south Texans, are on a endless quest for the perfect taco, much as French academics are on an endless quest for existential meaning. This quest has many paths, and many are perilous. In the case of the French academics, they often talk themselves into Stalinist apologetics or Vichy collaboration. The Texan taco-seekers, on the other hand, find themselves in places they'd otherwise never go: Alice. Beeville. Skidmore. Taft. Robstown. Corpus Christi. And here's where the fates part ways, because whereas the Frenchmen find themselves condemned to tenure or tribunals, the Texans are rewarded with unparalleled richness and joy. That joy is a Nano's taco. How may I describe the vivid, life-altering, and likely life-shortening experience of a taco from Nano? And who is Nano? My friends, I don't have that answer. I have witnessed a half-dozen abuelitas laboring in the Nano's kitchen. Perhaps one of them is our Nano. Perhaps none of them are. Or perhaps, in a larger sense, they are all Nano. Let us just say that the Nano collective works tirelessly to create massive flour tortillas, a quarter-inch thick, made with lard -- not the shortening that weaker, lesser peoples prefer -- and a panoply of frontera offerings: chorizo of unparalleled greasiness, bacon of excellent girth, avocados just past the point of ripeness so they mush up delightfully, fresh eggs, thick melted cheese that flowed in rivulets from some magical spring in El Quesorado. Upon this bounty they offer a hot sauce of utterly mysterious provenance. It is firey orange and it makes Anglos ill. It is delicious. It is all delicious. It is the best breakfast-taco place ever. I mean it: from Austin to Houston to San Antonio to Laredo to McAllen to Brownsville to Mexico City itself, I have searched, and I have wandered, and I have quested for this. And .... I found it. It's Nano's. It's the best. So here's your recommendation, Internet: eat at Nano's. Grab some black coffee, head for the drive-through at 6am, load up your breakfast taco on a tortilla the size of your head, and watch the sun rise on God's country as you eat the food He blessed you with. I'm a Corpus Christi native living in the DFW area. Any time I get back to CC Nano's Taco run is a must stop! Breakfast tacos from Nano's are our first breakfast back every trip. Last year I brought my students from our church to CC for a mission trip. Breakfast one morning was 120 tacos! Kids loved them! And, their special hot sauce is AMAZING! These tacos were really great! The tortillas are fluffy good and I like how they do bacon strips when you ask for a bacon and egg taco. The salsa is reeeeeallly good. I have been to this restaurant for morning tacos for years. I don't know if they have new management but service has been horrible lately. I just waited almost 15 minutes for the taco special. The excuse was that it was one they had to cook the ingredients special. What a joke. I was the only one in line. Four cars pulled up after me and all got their orders. This was the special. The taste and cost of Nano's breakfast tacos are very good. However, the customer service is terrible, worst in town. They are rude and proud of it. I also believe they are racist, choosing to offer better serivce to the latino community over any other race. Now that is what it is like at the Nano's at Everhart and Holly. HOWEVER, the customer service at the Nano's near Staples and McArdle is far better. So, if you are going to choose Nano's, skip the on one Everhart and go to the one on Staples. read more

First of all I had very high expectations for this place. I was under the impression that Nanos tacos & service was excellent. That is definitely not the case. First walking in I did not feel welcome at all. The lady taking our order didn't look me in the eye or even hardly acknowledged me at all. Then it took 9 minutes just to make 2 tacos when there was maybe 2 orders in front of me, small orders at that. Then my order was completely wrong so I had to wait another 5 minutes so they can get it right. The quality that I was expecting was absent. The eggs wee too mushy & the bacon was burnt & half the size. Just a horrible experience. Definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more
