Once you have the right address, you'll find a huge shop with plenty of bays and two Dyno bays . Everyone is super friendly. I enjoyed talking to everyone there. I took my 69' Charger there because I was lacking power, having troubles hitting 70MPH, and had oil and transmission leaks. They recommended new intake manifold, new carburetor, and I requested a new ignition system, specifically the MSD ignition system. They told me my oil leak was from my valve cover gaskets. When I got the car back, I felt I had more power and was happy with the way the engine bay looked. Even though they replaced my gaskets, my oil leak was not only still there, but now worse than before. I also started noticing issues with my lights afterwards. After I got the car back, the voltage meter would go from 13 volts down to 6 when I turned my lights on. This was not happening before they worked on my car, but when I called and asked, they said they didn't touch anything electrical. I ended up getting referred to a different shop. I asked them to do a bumper to bumper, top to bottom inspection. My oil leak ( which is now worse ) was from my newly installed valve cover gaskets. Another thing they noticed was my throttle cable was connected to the wrong part of my new carburetor. I don't have a picture now because my car is still in the shop , but will get one of the proper placement. Where they put it, at full throttle, I was maybe getting half-throttle. In fairness, I didn't have them fix the valve cover gaskets because it was already at a new shop and honestly, I didn't get a warm fuzzy when they discarded any responsibility on the lights issue after they worked on it. I also called several times to take my car back and had no follow up on their part. That's when I really decided to try the other shop.

I had to go find them again to scan the system to cancel the lights. And they said the "lights were on when they got the car." I told them that's why I reached out and offered business. Wasn't it their job to wrap it up before saying the car is ready? Service - I chose them because they said they offer the service to send the car back to me without me having to show up there. And it was communicated that they could have the car fixed within the day. It was discounted after they got the car, saying they didn't even have the parts ready by the end of the day and that they had to wait one more day. Plus, they told me they could only Uber me to their plant to pick up the car instead of sending it back to me. They should not OVERPROMISE on such supporting services as the customer chose them for the sake of time. It turned out I had to cancel lots of errands, which would have been totally avoidable if they had been upfront and decent from the beginning and throughout the service. I gave them two stars instead of one only because the manager showed a good attitude and admitted that they should have done a better job. Anyway, the experience was NOT pleasant.

I had an issue with the A/C in my truck and brought it into DAC based on the recommendation of a neighbor and I was blown away by the level of service I received. They were honest which is the most important thing to find in a repair shop. With regard to my A/C, instead of trying to sell me new hoses (which I didn't need) they replaced my valves which were leaking. I'm 100% confident that if I had taken my truck to the dealership they would have sold me new lines and it would have cost me ten times what I paid at DAC. I highly recommend Discount Auto Care!!!

My check engine light came on right before I need to register my car for the year. A friend…read morerecommended Ricky's because he did a great job and his prices were very reasonable. I gave him a call and told him what the test that O'Rielly's did said. I needed a new EGR valve and all the EGR ports cleaned. He actually gave me an estimate over the phone, which my old mechanic said I needed to bring my car in and leave it over night before they could give me and estimate. (RED FLAG) I took it up to Anna to Ricky's and it was well worth the extra miles from the old place I used to take my car. He assessed the issues, gave me an estimate and was finished with the job in 1.5 hours. The engine light was off, but I needed to drive it for 50 miles at least to reset the computer so I took a drive to Sherman got some gas and meandered back through the country roads to Ricky's with just a little over 50 miles. He scanned my car again and it wasn't quite reset and suggested I drive another 20 miles. I took it down to Melissa, then out on 75 to Van Alstyne then back onto the country roads and it still wasn't completely reset so since it was almost closing time he said just drive it some more then bring it back if you like before having the emissions test done. I will be taking it back up to see him next week as I have not been out much this past week. But I cannot say enough about how personable, kind, efficient, he and his staff are and the place is immaculate clean. And they even have a little humor on the bathroom wall that made me chuckle. I know that honest mechanic can be an oxymoron these days but Ricky is the paragon of integrity, honesty, reliability, intelligence, ethical, and respectable.
