I've spent millions at Napa over the years ,I've been loyal and I try not to shop anywhere else for our my shop. I also understand young guys behind the counter can be a little rough around the edges. people need to start somewhere, I get it. I've also never left a review before, but today I got thrown out of Napa for overloading my cart, and I need to vent
. today , on my 10000 visit over the last 44 years of shopping at Napa, the young man in the warehouse said I overloaded the big flat cart with 4 batteries. He was incredibly rude argumentative and just downright increadbly mean. He wouldn't let it go, so I explained that was the way the other guy loaded them for me, and he had another 5 on the other cart he just loaded and was helping me push . He mumbled fking idiot under her breath, I responded that I'm a customer not the enemy. I wasnt rude but insisted that there is no need to cuss me out, especially for somthing so silly. And , im just trying to spend money there as efficiently as possible. Sir please leave. i was fuming , but didnt want to get banned for life, so I didnt want to escalate things but said " maybe you should check yourself because your out of line". . That was it, he went nuts and told me to leave the store. these guys went full nuclear in 1 minute of debate, only because I complained they were being rude, and unhelpful. The manager heard the whole thing , was apologetic, (I apologized too for the drama) and he gave me the main managers number to call (I didnt ask for apology or number to call). one customer in line were patting me on the back, and the gentleman in front of me was upset at these guys too. Who trains these Neanderthals? when I was a kid my boss at a tow yard used to slap me in the back of the head when I screwed up. I screwed up a ton because I was young and inexperienced . best thing that he could have done. Some of These young guys at Napa are incredibly good, but others should not be left unsupervised in public. Mean, ignorant, some would say stupid , argumentative . Best part he called me a bucked tooth f word. (He was right, my teeth are kinda big) I was stunned. I personally was just as stupid at his age, but I was humble and respected my elders, let alone customers. I really wish I could have taken these 2 young men behind the shed and explained the facts of life to them. Somthing like "i have won and lost fortunes, seen the world, have 60 years of experiences, have had many careers, owned a few companies, loved my wife with the intensity of the sun, raised a family, support many people, love my employees and treat them as family, , and you two idiots are A pebble in the road, are uneducated, undisciplined, impolite, lazy, and stupid, and have a net negative output in life so far. You can't communicate, reason, sell, negotiate, repair anything, work a counter or given your appearance fill your gas tank. You are the bottom of the food chain, and without the support of your parents you would die of exposure and malnutrition (we're in Minnesota) You can't even work a shift at Napa without cursing a good customer out for no reason because you think you have a badge, and a fragile ego. . napa, I love you, but come on guys, I rather stand in line longer instead of dealing with these guys. some of your counter people are worse than an empty register !!!! Just thinking out loud here - Compare the guys at discount tire , it's employees and culture to Napa, its night and day. They are same age, roughly the same pay, but the difference is crazy. I wondering what the discount tire guys are doing diffent to make the service so good compared to napa. Anyway, thanks for listening folks. read more
