I use this BP often for car washes because it's a pretty good deal with fuel purchase. The overall station is a clean operation and conveniently located on the corner of Dam Neck and Holland. They offer a convenience store which I have never stepped in. Also unique these days is a gas station with a garage. They have two bays to do oil changes, brakes and even Virginia state car inspections. They are never the most reasonable on fuel but I like them. read more

I took my car in for a knock and shaking. I thought it was the tire and told them that. They said everything was fine and it might be the transmission. I took it to a transmission place. I just got a call to pick up my car. Transmission fine. The tire was loose. Also, at this Nappa BP, they changed my odometer to kilometers and buckled my seat belt. I called this shop yesterday evening to check on state inspection appointments and was told first come first serve, doors open at 8 am. I show up this morning at 0730, first in line only to be told by the manager to park in space and wait for doors to open at 8. Following these instructions and not seeing the garage doors open as told I went into the office and noticed there was a line of people for state inspections. My wife had asked him if we needed to be in line to get service and was told no, first come first serve. Needless to say I left frustrated, with no inspections completed and was told that morning that " I've only got one inspector and I'm only open to 1 pm so most likely won't get to it today". What a load of crap! You should've said that yesterday. Just be honest about your ability to perform work and not stack work and hold customers cars hostage. I will not use this company again as I just don't feel they represented their service fairly and their customer interactions are not clear or helpful. read more

Excellent customer service! We've been here for inspections/oil changes/alignments/brake replacements. They work quickly, but efficiently, and make you understand what they are doing, and why. Not much to say, it's a BP gas station on the corner of Holland & Dam Neck. Always friendly service. Gas prices, reasonable/average. What gets them a 5? Having gas today, (9/11/18, as everyone prepares for Hurricane Florence,) until late afternoon anyway, per FB posts of locations that still had gas. Long line but I got my gas. BEWARE!!! BEWARE!! I took my car in because my temperature gauge was not reading the temperature of the car. They put it on the machine to see what the issue was. The end result was that I needed a new thermostat. The customer service agent is a shyster. He more than doubled the cost of replacing a thermostat. He quoted me a price of almost $800. The thermostat was replaced and I ended up paying almost $600. Drove my car away and my car overheated on the way home. Called him and he arranged a tow truck to pick the car up. A few hours later he called and stated that my car now needed a water pump. He quoted me a price of $1300 to replace the part. I told him I would come get my car and he stated I had to pay for the tow. This is where the customer service agent showed how unprofessional he is. We went back and forth about who was responsible for the tow. I then asked to talk to the owner and he stated "he wasn't calling the owner for this stupid stuff for a car that has over 200,000 miles on it." Long story short I ended up not paying for the tow. I ended up calling a dealership for quotes on the work that was done and they quoted on the high end $400 to fix the thermostat. $500 to fix the water pump. I STRONGLY ADVISE NOT USING THIS SHOP!! It's a same that NAPA's name is on the building because they are definitely not up to the standards that NAPA exhibits with there customers. BRIGHT SIDE: The mechanics do know their job. read more

I give them 5 stars for responsiveness and friendliness. My car overheated down the street from their shop and my teenage daughter was driving and had to leave the car in the road and wait to be rescued. I was unable to get to her since she was driving my car, I called NAPA super car care center asking if i get my car towed their and told them my car was in the middle of the road on Dam Neck just a few hundred feet from them. They said they would go check it out and let me know. They were great! I was impressed that they didn't just blow it off or say they didn't have time. They were able to get the car to the shop and do a block test on it. While they said I needed a replacement engine and I turned down this repair due to costs vs. buying another car, I had the car towed home after to die. Despite not having had work performed here, i would definitely recommend them. I am so grateful that they were there during this ordeal. :-) read more

Made an appointment on the phone over a week ago for an oil change and tire rotation. I get to my appointment about 10 minutes early, and find that my appointment didn't exist because the person who made my appointment didn't save it in the computer. Long story short, they tried to squeeze me in around people who made appointments after I did. Fluids couldn't get topped off, and systems weren't checked, because of lack of time. Not impressed, and will not be returning. Revised my original one star to three because the manager made up for the rude attitude from his employee, and apologized about the booking mix up. Comped the cost of the synthetic oil. Not the best experience, but the manager made it right. read more

Had to have original work reworked twice and still not correct. Missing parts, broken parts and incorrect reassembly. Not what I expect from a NAPA represented shop. Damage to my personal property and not taking owership is completely not acceptable. This work could have injured my family and caused more damage to my transportation. I have lost confidence in NAPA BP getting it right and will not allow them to work on it any longer. Lost wages, rework and mental anguish with this company. Horrible!! Got my oil change onced and the next day my whole bottom covering fell off. Gave it another try with my other car and the sticker they put on my car was wrong! I was on a trip and my oil light started flashing and the car cranked out. My oil was out and now my engine is messed up!! DON'T GO THERE. I dented one of my rims and chose to buy a new one online rather than go to the dealer where it would cost 3 times as much. Anyway Napa is one of the few places that would install my old but still good tire onto a new rim and then install it on my vehicle for me. It was only about $16 for them to do so. read more

I dropped my car off for a state inspection. I received a phone call that my car was rejected because the headlight alignment and rear windshield wiper. They wanted $75 to fix the discrepancies. This car has less than 20,000 miles on. They only want your money knowing you have to get an annual inspection. read more

Wellll, about a month ago I came here to get my tires topped off with nitrogen as they were the only place in town that I didn't need an appointment for (and one of the 2 places that even had nitrogen). I got a total of 20 Psi and they charged me $60.00. Im at my in-laws for vacation and come to find out, they didn't even air the tires up all the way. What a waste of an hour and of $60. HEY EVERYONE NITROGEN IN YOUR TIRES IS NOT NECESSARY. I guess it's my fault for not asking my FIL before coming here. read more

I brought my 2011 Camry here since I had a coupon for a $29.99 synthetic oil change and tire rotation. Long story short, when the guy at the front desk came and got me nearly 90 minutes after I dropped the car off, he gave me a bill for almost $80. Shocked, I asked why the bill was $50 higher than it should be. He began telling me that I didn't read the coupon and requested that I read the coupon to him, so I did. When I showed him that the coupon simply said $29.99 synthetic oil change plus tire rotation, he said I misread it and the coupon implied that it was $29.99 for just the synthetic oil, and I had to pay extra for everything else. I told him I was absolutely not paying any more than $29.99, and in front of another customer, he started arguing with me, telling me that it isn't his fault that I don't understand the coupon. I had him get the manager, who asked this guy if he had explained the charges to me before they began my service, to which he replied that he had not. Wait.... what? What charges had to be explained? The coupon was for $29.99. Period. End of story. Ultimately, I paid my $29.99 and left, vowing never to go back. Unfortunately, I had to go back the next morning because the tech who did the oil change messed up the washer on my oil drain plug, resulting in a rather significant oil leak. So after my second visit in less than 24 hours, I left, and I will definitely not be going back. read more

Took my car here to have them look at a problem that started after they fixed my car in January. This is the second time, the first time the valve cover gasket they gave me was bad, they replaced that one. This time I had an oil leak again, which led me to believe it was the same problem, well this time they say it wasn't that it was the cover that was bad. They called me and told me it was 1400$ to fix. The only reason it was there was for them to check the gasket, so when I refused to allow them to repair it, they tell me I cant get my truck back unless I pay 400$ in labor to put my truck back together. I had to call a tow truck and get my car put back together by someone else, do not go here and if you do, get everything that needs to be done with an estimate cuz if not you're screwed. This didn't cost me anything to take it, no receipt or paperwork was giving for this particular time, which means there wasn't gonna be a fee, but now there is one! read more

Called to set up appointment to have inspection and oil change, was told no appointment needed. Dropped car off at 0930. No one called so I went back at 520 seeing they close at 6. Nothing had been done car in same spot, it was as if they forgot about it. Held off on review until after I gave the general manager time to explain sent email to Christophe Myers the GM. Took my van to NAPA Super Car Care Center last week for a state inspection and to have them check out my AC compressor (I was hearing a slight rattle in the engine compartment). Was told at the time that although they were not sure, AC compressor was likely not the problem but more likely a pulley and that they would put it up on a lift and use a stethoscope to determine exactly what was the issue and that if it were a pulley it would be about $100 parts and labor. Anyway, got a call back on the inspection and was told that the van failed due to a front blinker light not being yellow enough, headlights needing alignment, and an inner tie rod needing to be replaced. When I asked about the AC I was then told it would cost 100 to remove the serpentine belt to diagnose the problem (completely different from what I had been told earlier). I did not trust them so I told them to do nothing further (btw, when I picked up the van both blinker lights were completely yellow and I could not tell the difference between the two). I took it to my regular place to be inspected again (and let them know what the other place had claimed...). They found none of those issues existing at all. What they did find, which they showed me, was that one of my front tires had a deep gash in the side wall, which NAPA completely missed. Tire replaced, and inspection sticker now on, although I could use a new AC compressor according to my place which did not have to remove any belts and charged NOTHING for that diagnoses. NAPA clearly was out to generate business and make a buck off of my back, STAY AWAY!!! read more

Napa at Dam Neck and Holland Rd is my go-to shop. Their honesty and integrity saved me hundreds of dollars on a brake job we didn't need. They could have done the work and made a profit without us being the wiser due to a Ford dealership telling us we needed one during a checkup. Instead, Napa called us and told us we had well over 50% of pads left and full fluid levels. In addition they didn't charge us anything. I wanted to give this place an opportunity to remedy the situation before I left a negative review but the manager just couldn't rise to the occasion. I scheduled and alignment with this company and when arriving for my appointment, on time, we are advised that the alignment machine is broken. We then got rescheduled and again the machine was broken and again, no call to advise us of the broken machine. When the rude manager called me back me after dealing with a rude receptionist, he was combative and said that "he can't call all of his customers back to let them know the alignment machine is broken", which is ridiculous for customers who have an alignment scheduled!!! I guess he would have customers waste their time by coming in to an appointment when their machine wasn't operable. Wow, what terrible customer service this place offers. My advice, DON'T go here! Where do you start? This place is ridiculous in a seriously bad way. Every time I've been to this location I've had to find an associate to help because the desk is unattended. They are usually in the back garage area eating or just hanging out. I have used this place a couple of times because of its close proximity to my home. The first time I had to bring my vehicle back after being pulled over because they put the inspection sticker on wrong?! How do you do that?! They flipped the year and the month...really. The next time I brought my vehicle there for inspection, I found a grape soda can half full in my console that splashed on my interior. What kind of service station does such a poor job by leaving trash?! This place is just poorly managed and is full of untrained service associates. Not only is the staff friendly but they provide great service. I submitted an online inquiry to schedule an appointment for an inspect and oil change. A woman called the next morning and told me she was able to take my car the same day- and this was on a Saturday morning. I dropped my car off in the afternoon and she finished it the same day. She also made it a point to call me as soon as it was done in case I needed it same day. I thought this was very kind as I have had issues with other businesses and their work ethic and communication with customers. I will be returning next time because not only was the service prompt but they are trust worthy too :) read more

The people are nice, but the shop is very slow with work i have had done. I had to have) work redone. Work was not completed correctly on at least three different occasions. Then when i broght my car back to have the work done correctly,my time was not a priority to the shop. I was i line for a mechanic, i paid for the work on my first visits, so there is no money coming in from me today. Shop labor is very expensive too. read more

Took my 2009 Suburban there. The oil & stabilitrak lights were flashing. My Truck was miss firing. It started the day before. The employees are extremely nice & cordial. They kept telling me they do not overcharge for service. After waiting for 1 hour a mechanic questioned me on my oil changes which I had done 4 months prior. About 45 minutes later, after the diagnostic (79.00 charge) a different mechanic can out he said my wiring was good, but my #7 spark plug was blown and needed to be replaced. He gave me the old spark plug. He suggested I replace them all. He said the cashier would give me the price. She told me it would be $505.00. I said for what, a set of spark plugs is about $20.00. She said that's for parts and labor. Because it would take 3 1/2 hrs to replace. I said no way just replace the one, I will take it to the dealer. They negotiated the price to $350.00 because the mechanic said he did not feel comfortable replacing just the one. But would take a lesser amount for the labor. Even though I only have 70,000 miles on my Truck. I called the dealer while waiting they said parts & labor was $179.00. I told Napa just give me my Truck. I would pay for diagnostic. They agreed. They told me Delco parts is what went in the truck but they did not have it. (Huh) so I was thinking they were putting generic parts in my Truck but was charging me top dollar. Long story short, as I drove to the dealer I noticed the Truck no longer was shaking. (That's because Napa removed the damaged spark plug) so I stopped at the Auto parts store got the Delco spark plug 4.00. Put it in my truck. Went and got an oil change ($24.00). All done in under 2 hrs. Lights went out and my truck is running fine with no lights flashing at all. Napa on Dam Neck has very friendly and cordial employees. Nice waiting room to. BUT ITS A FRONT, don't fall for it. They are ruthless when it comes to overcharging. If you don't watch closely you will never see it coming. Run don't Walk as far away as you can get. My husband took his truck that is registered out-of-state to get it inspected & they had it all day then called my husband saying they will not touch his truck because they can't do inspections on vehicles that are out of state (which it doesn't matter) the lady that's behind the desk started arguing with my husband about it while I think her boss was there by her saying she said this that & whatever else. She's lucky I didn't go with him because I would of had the last word & she would be out of a job because obviously she doesn't know how to do her job correctly then has an attitude with a customer that knows the facts. He was also told they couldn't do anything to his vehicle because he had a dent in his hood which is crap because that shouldn't matter anyways. My husband also went to ask for the store information & the state troopers number & the guy that was up there said he had to call a number for it. My husband said he has the right to ask for it & after going back & forth they gave it to him. I hope this place goes out of business because they have crappy customer service & bad attitudes when they get called out on whatever they did to vehicles. Took my vehicle in for an oil change, tire rotation and balance, coolant system flush, and transmission service. Although this vehicle is 10 years old with 128,000 miles, it has been well-maintained with all service interval checkups and components have been replaced as required. I wasn't having any issues and this was just routine maintenance, or so I thought. For starters, the desk staff are unprofessional in appearance (both dress and grooming), and little better in customer service and interaction. So, I drop off the vehicle and inform them that I would be picking it up the next afternoon. I left my work number and provided them the hours that I could only be reached at that number as well as, my cell number and the hours that I could be reached at that number. The next afternoon I am leaving work at the appointed time to pick up my vehicle and decided to check my cell. I hadn't received a call at work so assumed everything was fine. Had a voice message on my cell asking me to call the shop. Called and was informed that I had an oil leak in the upper oil pan and that both the upper and lower oil pans needed to be replaced. Really, an oil leak. I always check my oil before any oil change service and the oil level was fine. In addition, the car had sat for two weeks and there was no indication of an oil leak under the car in my driveway, nor the place that I parked the vehicle in the shop lot. For a cost of over $400.00 I could have the service performed. I asked a few questions and explained that I didn't actually think that there was an oil leak but decided to go with the service. Of course, they needed to keep the vehicle another day to perform the work. Two o'clock the next day I stopped by to pickup the vehicle and the service is still being performed. I told them that I would come by the next day to get it. Came by the next day to get the vehicle and when I turned the ignition I receive a sound like a wild animal being shredded under the hood. This is something that was not an issue when I brought the vehicle into the shop. I left the vehicle another day. Moreover, my battery had been tampered with and none of the so-called services performed necessitated battery removal or battery disconnect. My clock indicated that the car had lost 4 hours and 16 minutes. The issue under the hood is still an issue but I haven't had the time to take the vehicle back to fight the system.
