I normally don't leave reviews like this, but after everything I've been through with Bingo's, I feel like I need to warn others. I took my car here back in May for a state inspection and an oil change. I was told I needed to order $1,400 worth of parts, which I approved. Once the parts were installed and I picked up my vehicle, it immediately sounded like something wasn't attached properly to the tire. I had to take the car back, and while they did attempt to fix it, I was treated as if I was the inconvenience, even though the issue was clearly due to their work. Recently, I went to a different mechanic for a routine oil change, and I was shocked by what I was told. The mechanic showed me that the bearings were not installed correctly, the brake lines were twisted, the sway bar links were not done right, the tire pressure sensors had been unplugged, and the cords were left twisted and sloppy. In short, the work was careless and unsafe. Because of this, I now have to spend almost $800 at another dealership just to fix the damage that should have never happened in the first place. At this point, I would rather pay another shop to fix the damage than ever take my car back to Bingo's to have them "fix" anything again. That's how little confidence I have in their workmanship. What frustrates me the most is not only the poor quality of work but also the lack of accountability. Customers shouldn't be made to feel like they're a burden when bringing back a car for a mistake that the shop caused. Between the unnecessary stress, wasted money, and unsafe workmanship, I can confidently say I would never recommend Bingo's to anyone. After reading through other reviews, I realize I'm not alone, and I truly regret trusting this business with my car. Please take this as a warning and consider going elsewhere, you'll save yourself time, money, and frustration. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. read more

I took my car in for a state inspection. They found 5 things wrong with the car. They were able to fix 3 out of the 5 and the only reason they could not fix the other 2 was that they don't work on exhaust systems and the auto stores didn't have a clock spring in stock. So i ordered the clock spring online and I found that Big Al's works on exhaust systems. When I took it for reinspection it was finished in under an hour. I would recommend this shop to other people. read more

I came in to get my car inspected bc it was close to our house...never again. tried telling me that needed almost 600 in work on my car. little do they now my dad just did work on my car before I brought it up for inspection. also tried to tell me my head lights were illegal which is funny bc were I work they have a lot of cops and no one has said anything to me and my car passed inspection last year so yeah....... and my car head lights don't cost 180 dollars lol. don't know what bulbs they are using but okay. also stated my side lights weren't working. that's funny they are working for me. and I have two so I don't know where they got 4 from but okay. this place is a joke and will definitely never be coming back. so much for trying to find a dependable place by my house. Would never recommend, i went there to fix a squeak sound in my car, he said it is all your struts needs change, he changed all of them and i paid some real load for that. The squeak didn't go away! He said maybe something else, like what da fuck ? " Maybe " ?? Then he said it is your rear brake shoes it was damaged and i changed it for additional $350, yes it was bad but squeak not gone, he said any mechanic will never know where the squeak from and i give up. After all this.. i went to another mechanic and he found the squeak source and fixed it in 2 hours. So again this is the worst place to go to. BTW, squeak was from strut mount, and the guy who changed the strut should have known in the first place. I spent a lot of money for almost nothing. read more

I went in for my annual inspection and they cracked my windshield. They failed me on the inspection for the windshield and a sticker. I assumed the windshield failed for 3 small chips. After I paid and went to get in my car I saw a foot long crack that wasn't there! They did not mention that they broke my windshield! I immediately went back in and told them that they broke my windshield, they admitted breaking it when they tested the defroster. It was 80 degrees outside and I doubt it seriously! They called the next day and offered to replace the windshield for $350. I took it to a repair shop which replaced and calibrated my windshield for $1600! Do not go to this business!! Other than the receptionist, it's not a respectable business! read more

We have used this location a few other times and we want to highly recommend them. They are fast, thorough and efficient. We needed a state inspection as one vehicle had expired. Bingo too us in right away and without an appointment. Our other vehicle experienced a flat tire over the weekend and Bingo was able to plug and put the spare back on it's rack and placed the repaired tire back on the truck. About 10:15am this morning I brought my SUV in to get an oil change after being at another location previously that couldn't get it started til after 2pm. After I was told that it would take about an hour to complete, I asked if an inspection could be done as well. Sure...Let's do it. They called at 11:21am to say my car was ready for pickup. Wow! That was Fast! The Full Synthetic Oil Change was $65 and my State Inspection was $20 - Very Reasonable! I'll bring my cars here first next time I need repairs done. read more

I took my older car to Bingo's on Granby in Norfolk for a State Inspection and all I can say is: BEWARE. They failed the car for: Head Lights, Steering and Tires. Head Lights: they wanted to replace the left head light bulb ($65) and Buff out both the head lights ($110); Steering: they wanted to replace both serpentine belts ($250) and add power steering fluid ($10); Tires: the RF tire needed replacing (no cost given). As one does when faced with $435 worth of repairs, I asked for a breakdown of the charges and then called Knight's Service Center for an estimate to replace the belts in order to make a comparison. What I found was I would have been ripped off in a big way. Knight's would only charge me $168 for the belts, so I picked up my car and took it to Knight's - also a State Inspection Station. What they found was: the bulb did not need replacing, they buffed out both head lights for $60 and they found that there was nothing wrong with the serpentine belts and they did not need replacing. I paid another inspection fee for a total of $80, than got two great used tires from Barry Lee's for $84. Unneeded repairs to older cars is a major State Inspection racket in Virginia and Bingo's is right up there with the best of the worst. read more

Do not go here!! If I could put 0 stars I would. I stopped in because of overheating. They said they replaced my radiator with a new one. I felt something was sketchy while I was there so I asked for my old radiator back to be inspected. Days later my truck was still not working properly so I took it to a different mechanics shop. They showed me where the radiator just put in was full of stop leak and almost sealed shut. When I confronted this shop about the stop leak in the new radiator they lied and said it was from my old one. I never had stop leak in the old one. The new mechanics were able to inspect the old one and confirm there is no signs of stop leak anywhere. Now I have to buy a new radiator and pay for a whole new service. This place stole over $700 from me. I will be taking legal action. Save your time and money!! Do not go here!! read more

I took a tire in to be "patched" from the inside, it was practically a new tire and it needed to go back on the front. I picked it up and they had plugged instead of patching so now the tire cannot go on the front. I had to change a rear tire to the front and put the "fixed" tire on the back because they took a shortcut instead of doing what I asked. read more

I took my car in on a Saturday morning for a state inspection. Around 30 mins before closing I was called to pick up. The car was backed in and I could only see the drivers side, I hopped in and left not thinking I should of inspected my car. When I got home I noticed a large scrape on the passenger side of my car. The shop was closed until Monday, I called and of course was told it was not them. The scrape is up/down as if it was lifted, there was no other way or place this happened. The guys seemed very friendly... but now I know why. They are very dishonest and will not admit to scratching my vehicle. read more

My boyfriend dropped his car off here to have it inspected the following day and when we went in to pay for the state inspection, they gave us the paperwork one of the reasons the vehicle failed inspection was due to his brakes, we went outside to do a walk around the vehicle and turns out when they lifted it they snapped his brake line, so that's why the brakes failed. They had the hose clamped with vise-grips then proceeded to tell him he could drive it home. We will not be returning. read more

So, I bought a 1993 jeep Cherokee off of Craigslist for $500 as a little fixer upper/project car, and when I say I could not pass inspection to save my life... I really couldn't. Window wipers didn't work, no a/c and brake pads were bad and even the calipers. My "original" auto repair station quoted me $1085 including parts, labor and all that jazz... but bingos quoted me $670 for parts, and labor also! They took real good car of me, they ended up having to get all new wiring done for the fuses even after replacing various parts such as window wiper motor, arms, wipers and also replacing fog lights and everything. My little $500 ride that couldn't be driven legally on the road is now tearing those streets up all thanks to bingo's! I would highly recommend this group of hard workers, very down to earth and very knowledgeable on what they are doing. They also re-quote you if you plan on fixing a few things yourself from their list of work that needs to be done, which is really awesome. read more

We were heading home from a week in VA Beach when my Ford Explorer overheated in bridge-tunnel traffic! It was 4pm on a Friday, and we were so grateful that Bingo Tire & Auto was still open and able to help!! They had room for all of us to wait in the air conditioned office while the car cooled down, and the mechanics were able to resolve the problem within an hour ... and since it was a quick fix, they didn't even charge me for the services!! Came here because I needed an oil change. From the phone conversation all the way to the end of my service, the guys here were super nice and welcoming. I didn't feel awkward all all lol. They changed my oil, put air in my tires and checked my fluids, and guess what !?..... only $25 :) It's also super convenient for me. I'll be coming back for more services. Called early about a state inspection. Was told it was first come, first served. I arrived 20mins later to the desk rep telling me that there'd be a two hour wait, cool. Two hours later (and no phone call) I contact the same person and she tells me "oh you have 2 cars ahead of you", I'm like the same 2 cars from before, what are you'll doing over there? She says, another hour and a half. I go over there after said time, to see my car parked in the same spot it was in the morning. I walk in and request my keys, she gives a nervous laugh, saying "oh your car is up next". I simply say keys...then she disappears and now I'm sitting there waiting to leave. I walk back to where my car is parked and what do you know, someone is trying to inspect my car. Sir, just give me my keys. I get them and drive away. Clearly this place only likes doing business with individuals they favor. No reason a state inspection should've taken 5 hours of my car was 3rd in rotation. I've been looking for an honest auto shop (aren't we all) and after numerous places seeming shady I finally went for state inspection here. I was in and out in 1 hr with no absurd charges or repairs. I know my car is not perfect, but they recommended what needed to be fixed and then proceeded to give me reasonable quotes. One quote I got at pep boys a year ago was $900+ for repairs, these guys are quoting me $250. Screw big chain auto shops and go with Bingo! They will be getting my business and my friends' business from now on. read more

There are 2 reasons why I am very disappointed in their service and will never come back. Reason #1: I thought that I paid a heavy price the second time I took my car in to get fixed, so I thought twice before coming back here again. I went to another mechanic for the next repair. But this place is right next to my home, so one day I took it there once again when I did not have much time. The man at the front desk, Charlie, confessed to me that he should have given me a $150 refund since I had overpaid $150 the last time I was there 5 MONTHS AGO. I was furious! Had I never gone back to Bingo Tires, I would never have gotten my money back. However, I did go back since they promised me free service for the next time. I came back a few times, no problem. One day, I came in to get a minor part fixed, but after I took it back home I found that the car was in worse condition than before. (This was obviously was the fault of the mechanic, since the two parts were directly related.) I was so upset! The problem was: they could not work on my car because it was a Volkswagen. Apparently very few mechanics can work on VWs in Norfolk. Very disappointed. The only reason I came back after the refund error was because of Charlie's politeness and good humor. Great service! I took my 2010 4runner in for what the dealership told me was bad struts. The guys took it for a drive, gave it a good once over and determined it just needed an alignment. Back in October my husband took our vehicle to bingo to be serviced as it would not start properly. They informed us that our fuel pump was bad and would need to be replaced. They told us that they wouldn't be able to have the part for weeks, and advised us to go get the part as my husband was deploying soon and didn't have weeks to wait. So we drove over to the auto parts store and bought the part. We brought it back to them. They told us that our warrenty did not cover the fuel pump. Myself and the children had left the state before the car was finished being worked on. My husband got the car and stated the car was still not starting right but he had to leave and I was in a different state. So fast forward a few months. I got the car. The check engine light was on, and car was still making a hard effort to start. So I took it to a Ford dealership to be looked at. Where they found that the fuel pump was loosing pressure and the clips that hold the fuel line were broken. At this point I called bingo and stated I wanted a refund. They insisted that I had a receipt. I told them I believe I do but would have to look. Again they stated about the receipt because they don't keep record. They stated the owner was on vacation but would be back tomorrow. I called back 2 days later and told them not only did I have the receipt but I also have the receipt of the part. I told them about the damage they did to my car with the fuel line clips. They told me the owner was still not there but would be back tomorrow and to bring them in for them to look at. I pack my 6 children into the car and drive over to Bingo the following day. The worker barely wanted to talk to me. He said he spoke with the owner and the owner stated is been to long. He refused to call the owner after multiple times of asking him to. I asked him so you don't warranty your work. He replied no. I said so it's OK to break my car, not fix what you are suppose to, make it dangerous for me to put my 6 children in and that's OK with you..... he replied uuh huh. At that point I told them I am contacting a lawyer. The car is now fixed properly by the Ford dealership, and just in time for my husbands homecoming soon.
