Despite an insanely busy rainy day after a three-day weekend, he got me in to have my tires rotated and did not charge me anything since I had purchased his tires from him initially. They said they could not fix the puncture apparently expecting me to buy a new tire. It was clearly repairable. I took it to another shop and it was fixed in 15 minutes with no hassle. I have been going to this shop for years and dealing directly with Mike the old owner. Unfortunately the place sold to a group of people that have no idea what they are doing. I brought a 1989 Jeep YJ in for an alignment. After several hours of hearing nothing I called the shop to see how things were progressing. I was asked to come down to the shop as they wanted to, "show me something". Upon getting to the shop I was told that my rear leaf spring was loose as it moved under the axle... for those of you that don't know, this is what a leaf spring does. Long story short, I was given the before, and after numbers of the alignment, and they actually made my Jeep worse and charged me $149! It really sucks that an awesome local and dependable shop has resorted to this. Please stay away from this place for your own safety. read more

Solid mechanic. Friend recommended them for affordable brake service and they were reasonable: $240 for pads and resurfaced rotors, $320 with new rotors. The found a stuck brake piston and freed it which was cheaper than a replacement but a little extra labor. $50 for an oil change after all fees. And they took my car immediately on 10 minutes notice on a Saturday. Mild snark from the owner about millennials (apparently I'm one of them if the generation starts with those born after 1978) and they didn't call to confirm the extra labor on the stuck piston, but I'd have told them to do what they did anyhow. They did try to diagnosis a steering column noise but referred me to Ray's around the corner for more involved work (google now tells me it's a plastic bushing between the steering motor and and transmission as Hyundai calls them, I'll replace it myself when I've got 2 hours to kill). Easy spot as our dog was getting her nails trimmed across the street at Scobi Doo's. Overall I'd send friends there happily for oil changes, tires (through I prefer America's Tires which price-matches Costco), or brake work. Thanks Joe. read more

We were going to get a tire fixed. The guy working there was really friendly and said he'd have it done. Anyway we ended up not going with them because it seemed a bit pricey. We asked if we could dispose of the wrecked tire and the guy said sure for $5. Then we walked into the office to pay that and the OWNER said he had to pay $20 to dispose of the tire. $20 for this?! I had just bought a used camper van and wanted to be sure it was safe to travel. Joe and his team were great and installed 4 new tires at a great price. Also fixed the front end and installed brake pads and shocks. I could see that all the old stuff was worn out.All this was done with no real appointment on two separate visits and they worked past there closing time to finish. Seems like everybody in Napa knows Mike and this shop. He is very sharp on all the repairs he does there and explains it so you can understand. This review should be read as "disappointed" because I don't think they deserve two-stars for something their tire distributor did. But, given that I had driven an hour to get to the appointment, followed up multiple times, and spoke to directly to the owner--all without an offer to give me a discount of any kind for my troubles makes them miss out on a 3-star review. I'd give them a 2.5 if I could. I requested a quote for 4 new Michelin tires and got a good quote, about $60 less than Advanced Tire Services in Sacramento (they put on Michelin's on my other vehicle). In my quote request I gave them a heads up that I would be driving in from Sacramento and would need my tires installed the evening of the day I arrived or early the following morning. I got a reply, of "no problem." On my way out of Sacramento, and then again upon arrival to Napa, I called to tell them I was on my way. Both times I was told, "yah, no problem, come on in." I pulled in and started for the office. One of the employees caught my eye and says, "hey" while he walked by. He looks busy so I step into the office, which, but for another customer, is empty. I wait a few minutes and decide to go back outside to chat with someone. The owner is outside and I tell him that I was there to have the Michelin tires installed and he goes on to tell me that the wrong tires were delivered by his supplier. He then starts to say that problem with the Michelin tires is .... and stops himself when he sees the tires on my car and says more-or-less to himself, "well, it has H-rated tires. So, that's what it calls for." Not sure where he was going with that. He then mentions he has other tires, I decline. He goes inside to call his supplier to see if he can get the right tires by the next morning (Thursday). Unfortunately the tires would are available until Monday, long after I drove back to Sacramento. Ultimately my inability to get tires in Napa turned out to be a good thing since I ended up getting tires close to home at a savings of over $125 (see my all my tire reviews). read more

OVER CHARGED BY $100! I called for two tires the next day I sent my girlfriend there while I had work. And what do you know? She came home with two tires $100 dollars over what they quoted over the phone. They fully took advantage of her being a girl and ripped her off. I called and talked to the owner and he didn't offer anything to help the situation. I go to Vallejo now. Napa is crawling with rip offs like this. And rich people feel like they're getting quality for their money. It's the same thing I get in Vallejo for half the price. Family owned and great service. I've come for many tire patches and always in and out fast.

My front brakes were grinding and growling at low speed stopping. The noise was unreal, I knew they had to be toast. I was able to get an appointment promptly and had them replaced within a couple of hours. It would have been much faster, but my rear brakes were paper thin and the owner suggested that I replace those too before I incur more cost with damages to rotors etc. I very highly suggest using this very small LOCAL business. The prices were very reasonable and the service I received was great. Don't be a snob just because it's a tiny little place. This small business owner is very caring and will take good care of your vehicle. read more

They were so helpful when I got a nail in my tire. I was able to drop the tire off and they fixed it in about an hour. They did not try to push new tires on me, but I will go back to them in a few months for a new set of tires. They put air in all my tires. I definitely recommend them! read more

I recently had my car looked at by another mechanic. They quoted me over $4,000. for services I wasn't sure I needed. (That is after I dropped the car off at 7:15am, had to call multiple times for updates, then I had to wait until 5pm to pick it up!) Since I live out of the area & had taken the car to a new mechanic, my dad recommended that I bring my car into see Mr. D'Adamo. I came in at 8:30, got a phone call by 9:30 about what was actually wrong with my car, how much it would cost & when it could be ready. I just couldn't stop smiling! Not only did I not have to get a new car (that I couldn't afford), I also only had to purchase a set of tires (that my car needed anyway) & get them aligned, (which was also needed). Everyone was courteous, my car drives great & I just can't recommend this business highly enough! They have my business for life. read more

Let me tell you, this is by far THE WORST shop I have ever been to. It shocks me this place has a 4 star rating, I was affected by my experience to the point I created a Yelp account just to make sure it's rated for what it actually is; a shop not worth recommending to family and friends unless you're trying to screw them over. Take note that I tried to make business here on 2 separate occasions. My first interaction with the shop was a conversation over phone about doing a realignment on my car. The owner answered and he put me on hold twice. Ok, no biggie, maybe they're busy I thought to myself. After waiting a few minutes he finally gets back on the phone with me and I ask him for a quote and possible schedule date to realign my car. He gave a deep sigh, enormous actually, and responds with what I believed to be a good price. He quoted me at 79$ to realign my car and I thought it was fair. I scheduled an appointment for that same weekend and gave him my information. He was rude on the phone but I believed it was just one of those bad days on the job so I brushed it off. The day of the appointment arrives and I take my car to the shop. I walk into the office and no greeting is said, just a look from the corner of the owners eye. "I have an appointment at 4" I said, he replies with "you do" and I give him my keys. He tells me it'll be done in an hour so I walk back home and wait for the job to be done. The hour arrives and I'm at the shop again, both my windows were rolled down and I was grinning because my car would finally drive like it should. I walk into the office and the owner tells me no work was done on the car because I need all 4 tie rods replaced. He had my number, he could have called me and let me know what the car needed but no instead he wasted my time. I asked him for a quote on the job. He called somebody, I'm assuming his parts supplier guy, and after they had a few laughs he's smiling and ends the conversation with "I'll let you know if I get the job". He turns his attention back to me, smiles gone at this point, and writes me out the cost of the job. A grand total of 509$. Tax alone was 89$ and the tie rod parts were 240$, I'm not even sure where the tax came from. I ended up leaving unsatisfied and mad that he kept my car for the hour and didn't even bother to call me to let me know the job couldn't even be done. The 2nd interaction wasn't any better. I'm a local so when I can I try to support the local businesses here to keep local family businesses afloat and in the process find people I can trust with whatever service they're supplying me. I still didn't write this business off even after the first horrible interaction so I ended up ordering the parts I needed, a total of 105$ instead of the 240$ the owner quoted me at. I went back to the shop and spoke with an employee there, I asked him how much he'd charge me to install my tie rods and he told me he couldn't tell me a price. Apparently only the owner can let me know the cost, weird I thought. I asked him "isn't there just a set price for it?" He told me "that's the owners call". Ok. Just then a lady walked in and apparently they also told her that she needed new wheel bearings, she initially came in for a wheel alignment too. Coincidence? I began doubting if I even needed those tie rod ends the owner told me I needed. I left and gave the shop a call later on because the owner would be arriving later on in the day. I asked him about installing the parts and he told me no, he doesn't trust outside parts and has had issues with people doing that. I ask him if there's a paper of some kind I can sign so he can avoid anything bad out of the situation to which he quickly replies "no". I had no issue with the last part because I get he's just watching out for his shop, what got me was I thanked him and he just hung up. That's it. Didn't even want my business at this point. This guy is rude, dishonest, and I'm surprised he's been in business for as long as he has been. Very, very, unsatisfied with this shop. Will never be returning again nor will I recommend this to friends and family. This is your warning yelpers, go with a different shop instead. read more

Bought a used Infiniti M45. There was a speed-related thumping sound. Mike d'Adamo took one look and told me the tires were shot. Not a surprise considering other low-ball maintenance the prior owner did on the car. He recommended Michelin$ (my favorites) which would be much quieter and they are. After the install and alignment, there was a vibration from 65 mph and up. Returning for a re-exam of the situation, they pulled all the wheels and found a loose bolt somewhere in the rear end, tightened it and, voila, problem fixed! A terrific shop - knowledgeable, experienced car freak owner. I had Mike put Michelin$ on my prior Lexus, too. If this was a poker hand - it would be all aces. read more

- These guys are Awesome! One of the most knowledgeable I have ever met when it comes to tires & front-ends. And this place was highly recommended in town from family and friends. The service was really top-notch in my book. Drove into this shop because my front-end wasn't feeling right. - They explained that I was due for new tires since mine were over six years old & worn. Not only did they recommend Michelin LTX's which is one of the best tires I have ever drove on. They also noticed that both of my rear brake cylinders were leaking or going bad along with needing new shoes. - Wow what a relief, that problem was noticed and fixed since I'm always traveling. Truck rides and drives like a brand new vehicle since the new tires were installed and alignment. And I'm also noticing I'm getting better gas mileage, not to mention unbelievable handling around corners. Mike D'Adamo took this business over from his dad, Joe, whom I hear was as honest and reliable as Mike and his staff. If you need new tires, alignment, or want a tire repaired at minimum cost and maximum quality, this is the place to go. They know times are tight, and do their best to get you back on the road safely and quickly, with the least possible layout of cash. When it was time to replace a set of tires, Mike was able to locate some that were consistent with the requirements of my car, but a bit more economical. Also, my other vehicle has had three flat tires in the past few years, and these folks have been able to successfully repair them for $15, giving me years more use of them.
