Was originally 2 days for about $200 on a one way mystery rental from Chicago to Omaha. What wasn't good was they knowingly gave me an ev vehicle, no gas at all, for a 525 mile trip with only a 285 mile range. This should have never happened! Out in the middle of nowhere as not many chargers on way. Would take up too much time and it was my first time ever even using an ev vehicle. This was sure a mystery to me. They should ask if you have ever used one before even thinking about renting out an ev vehicle! Needing to stop a couple times for extended periods as some chargers are 45 to 60 mins as others are 3 to 4 hrs. Not good. Then you still gotta bring the car at or above the charge it was given to you. This one was given to me at 70%. Why wasn't it 90 to 100%? I had to cancel going down to Lincoln and Omaha to see my family and turned it back into a one day rental and changed my flight back out from Chicago to Ont, California that night. What a hot mess! At least they gave me $100 credit back for not having the rental a 2nd day. Avis, please do better in situations like these.

Took the associate a bit to assign a car (he was new, not his fault). Gives me a spot number for a white Acadia. Car is a white Equinox when I get there. Less than half a tank of gas and is dirty inside. Go back and get a different car from a second agent. He's much faster and says to choose the white Acadia in a different spot. It's a black Acadia, but the key says it's white (license plate number matches the keychain and says it's a white car too). It also smelled like weed. I find out the next day there's no wiper fluid in it. Now, I don't blame the desk personnel for this stuff, but the car refresh team needs some help.

After being offered a great price on a Honda CRV (by the Pre-Owned Manager Johnny Dakic) that we were sold on and intended to purchase, the car (after sitting on the lot for 2+ weeks ) IRONICALLY was sold the day we showed up to finally complete the paperwork. Granted, we had not put a down payment or a deposit down, so to be fair we had not officially "saved" it and 2 weeks had passed since we were last at the dealership. However, I had personally spoke to Basil Mirou, Sales Manager quite a few times in those 2 weeks asking about the car (that was still on the lot) and the logistics surrounding our situation in those 2 weeks. I left several messages for Johnny as well letting them know we are coming to buy the car and to call me back.. no call back to date) Even AFTER they "sold" the car, he claimed more would arrive and tried to sell us a different color, claiming now it was more $$ because it was "premier" color and highly sought after. If I didn't call back to ask if any new cars came in, I would have never received a call back. I even flat out asked Basil on his PERSONAL cell phone if he even wants my business! Because I can easily go elsewhere! TO DATE.. Basil was to call me back with new inventory he was checking on (a week ago) and have yet to receive a call back! Do NOT entertain this dealership at all! Paid off my loan via their dealer's online portal and gave me my equity on the spot in cash, at my own bank. (A cashier's check would also have been fine.) Ask for Ozzy Sanchez or his associate Kyle. This is a great way to securely, quickly and fairly sell your car!
