Service is overpriced! I had some work to be done and my turn signal happened to be out so I asked them to change it. $36.89 for parts and labor. Said they gave me a deal since the bulb was so expensive, they sold it to me at cost. I called the Hyundai dealership where I bought my car and ask what it would cost to replace my bulb, $15. Something is not right. I would not trust this dealership! Update: Customer service contacted me to explain the issue. She was very nice and helped explain the situation. They sold me the OEM Hyundai bulb that does retail at a very high cost. I called my normal dealership to confirm. Mungenast did a lot to lower my cost because they knew it was an expensive replacement. They were open and honest but because I got conflicting information and jumped to concussions. There are non OEM bulbs that are cheaper and would be good to stock to avoid this situation. Everyone was very helpful in the service department and I appreciate the call from customer service to clear up the confusion. read more

Worse dealer experience I've ever had hands down. I was an out of town buyer and would never receive a call back from the salesman so I escalated it to a manager he had an attitude and tried to talk down to me, i then escalated it to the GM and he just referred me back to the manager that was a joke. I have never had to TRY to give. Someone business so hard and not have any customer service. If I could give them a half star I would. So instead I spent another $5k on a car from a dealer that cared. read more

After trying out the dealer in Wentzville we visited Mungenast. Wow, what a huge difference in professionalism. Scott is a new rep with the dealer so he worked in tandem with Kelly and the manager. Scott may not have had all the answers on the spot, however, he made sure to get them for us. He was a sincere guy, no BS at all. We got the deal we wanted and Scott helped us get the job done. I checked the BBB for the dealer A rating as opposed to the other dealers C rating. It was worth he 40 minute drive over the bridge to deal with this group. Thumbs up to the Bommerito dealer next door for suggesting this dealer to us. They showed much class sending us to a competitor who more closely met our family's need. read more

I bought a pre owned car from Napleton Hyundai in the beginning of September, after I brought my car home I noticed some was wrong with the right fender and the right splash guard was almost completely ripped off, I do understand that I did buy a pre owned car but you have 30days from the date you bought it to have the dealership fix anything that's wrong with it within reason. Those 2 things that were wrong with it wasn't to much to ask for to fix. I was also noticing the steering wheel shaking, I took it back to Napleton a few days later and they spent 4 hours (quote on quote) fixing my steering wheel shaking and the splash guard and the fender. I got home and nothing was fixed, not the steering wheel shaking or the fender or splash guard. I had to take it to my repair shop I have been going to for years to align my car and balance my tires, my repair shop fixed the alignment and balanced my tires and Napleton did not do any of that at all. I called a day later and I spoke to Jesse the Service Manager that since nothing was fixed. I finally spoke to the finance manager and told him the situation and he emailed the men that needed to be emailed and I think ( quote on quote ) got resolved, I guess I will see. Just don't go there unless you want to be thrown around and ripped off. read more

Terrible experience. We went on Truecar for a quote. They had a great price so we drove a long distance to get there. We got there and after we did the test drive, the price was put in front if us and it was $3000 higher than quoted. It was all fluff. We left and went to Dean Team Hyundai. We got the great price and no games with add ons. What was quoted was what was paid. I wouldn't waste my time at Napleton. The price wasn't what was quoted, not even close. Fluff, a lot of fluff. It leaves you with a bad taste when you drive that far, have a quote and it's really $3000 more. No thanks. read more

Truly the worst dealership I have ever been to and I tell anyone I know to NOT buy a car from Napleton, especially this location. PLEASE whatever you do stay away. Horrible financial team that lies and threatens you, when they make mistakes they try and blame it on you (like messing with your application and making your income seem higher so you will get approved), terrible "salesmen" that aren't even true salesmen because these days the cars sell themselves due to low inventory. They jack up the price thousands of dollars over MSRP (and you won't find that out until you agree to purchase the car for "sticker price", when you complain about them charging over MSRP they tell you "everyone knows dealerships are charging over MSRP in today's market" ummm no, not true at all. They force you to get all these extra add-ons/warranties even though I specifically asked if it was included in the price. He said "yes it is baked into the price" little did I know that meant 5k over sticker when it was all said and done! Also, they offered me $1 for a trade in to "take it off my hands." Truly an insult when another placed offered me $2,000. I truly regret doing business with this dealership as they have made my car buying experience terrible. I don't understand the reviews about the sales department because I had the BEST experience with the Service Department!! My check engine light came on and my car started shaking. I called Dean Team Hyundai because they were close by, and they told me it would be TWELVE (12) days before I could get in! So then I then called Suntrup because I bought my Elantra there - I waited on hold for FIFTEEN (15) minutes attempting to make a service appointment. Needless to say, I hung up before I even got to speak to anyone. I went on Napleton's website (I'd never been there or had any prior interaction with them) and literally got an appointment the next day. The drop-off experience was so professional! Brad Gillen was great!! He'd already read the computer code before sitting down at the desk with me, which was so helpful! He was able to clearly explain what was likely wrong, how they would fix it, how long it would take, and verify that it was covered under warranty. My car was fixed within a few hours. The pick-up was so seamless (they have great hours!). And they vacuumed and washed my windows - yes please! I will certainly be back! Thank you for a great customer experience! read more

This dealership along with the Napleton Honda dealership uses old, outdated and pushy tactics. First I requested a specific model with a manual trans and they told me they had one on the lot so I made an appointment. A day before the appointment, the general sales manager called to verify and introduce himself. I then verified they didn't have the vehicle so I cancelled my appointment. Since then, they continue to call and harass me. I have gone to other dealerships in the area who were so nice and not even pushy enough to demand my driver's license and insurance for a test drive followed by a manager trying to make you take possession of a vehicle you don't want or color you specifically say you don't want either. I'm writing my review here because they evidently decided to delete my review on their google page (already a sus company if you ask me). It took them over TWO months to call the warranty company to get my car worked on. Tony, the advisor, just flat out refused to do his job evidently. After they finally got my car in and worked on, they never called to let us know it was done. My husband went up there on multiple occasions to ask about the car and the progress they're making between calling the warranty company to the final encounter because they just flat out refused to answer their phone. When they gave me my car back, the check engine light was still on, so again, my husband went back up there to have them resolve the problem and Kerri, the assistant service manager, told us there was nothing they could do without going back through the warranty company (mind you, they never even fixed the problem from the original warranty claim to begin with so they are supposed to fix it without going through warranty again!). Quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had with any service department ever. Definitely will never go back there again. read more

He was a perfect fit for me and I ended up buying a car. He was great, understanding, and he actually fought for me. I tend to be tough on car service providers so it's only fair to call out those doing a great job. I just moved to the area and needed 60k service on my Santa Fe. Wanted to find a Hyundai dealer close to my house or my office. Without making this needlessly long I'll just say the first dealer I called tried to take me for a ride. I did my research and had a pretty good idea what needs to be addressed at this milestone. Mungenast was spot on with what they recommended so I booked the appointment. They even told me they'd take me to and from my office in Earth City. As soon as I pulled into the service area I was treated with courtesy and checked in promptly by Don. I was called when the service was done just to cover off the work completed. The shuttle driver, didn't catch his name, was a very courteous young man as well. On the return to the shop, the 5 star treatment continued. The price for the work was right on what I was quoted and everything went smoothly. I'll certainly take my car back here next time I need work. There was not a thing I could have asked them to do better other than maybe leave a large bag of cash on the back seat. :) read more

Beware of yo yo financing. They will call you within a couple of weeks and ask you to come in, because they forgot to have you sign some papers. Once you come back they inform you the loan required a higher interest rate. The higher rate puts more money in their pockets and less in yours. They will also try to sell you some worthless add ons. My advice is to take a picture of everything you sign right after you sign it. This is the shadiest and most dishonest businesses I have ever dealt with. It's amazing they are still able to operate. One more thing, they will beg you and beg you to fill out a five star review before you leave the dealership. Don't do it! Wait at least two weeks before completing a review. They are very persuasive and will tell you their job depends on five star reviews. read more

This was a great buying experience. I started dealing with Kelly Sullivan online after going into many dealerships. Too many others played games and wanted to get me into cars they wanted to sell, not what I wanted to buy. After emailing back and forth with Kelly, I felt comfortable going in and making an offer on my Tucson. The sales process could not have been more comfortable. I felt I received a great deal on the vehicle I wanted and Kelly could not have been nicer (not to mention she came in on her day off to help me). To my surprise, the finance and insurance portion of the sale with Rick went pretty smooth as well. Kelly took the time to go over the car with us, show us all the options and made sure we knew how everything worked. Everyone else we came across that worked there was very nice as well. The business advertised a vehicle that I chose to purchase at the price of $15,500. I arranged transportation and financing in order to purchase this vehicle. Prior to leaving Tennessee to travel to Missouri in order to complete the purchase with cash and a check from my financing in hand I received a call from the dealership saying that they required an additional 2000 plus dollars in order to pay for a hundred and fifty point inspection and a security feature that they decided to add to the product without my consent or knowledge. They claim there is disclosure on the 2nd web page however the price clearly shown on the primary site was $15,500. On a third-party website the vehicle was advertised at $15,500 and as having a towing package. It does not. So in my opinion they have falsely advertised this vehicle two different ways. I am willing to pay $15,500 for the vehicle as it is fair and equitable and it is the price at which it was advertised. At this point because my transportation to Missouri is no longer available they would have to deliver it to me at their cost. It is obvious that this was a baiting advertising tactik and merits action by the Better Business Bureau and the state attorney's office and consumers should be wary of any dealings with this company. read more

Rob and Laurey took most excellent care of me while I had my car there for service. The service was provided in a professional yet friendly manner. They catered to my every need and made me feel like "family". I couldn't ask for any better people to wait on me. Rob is the service manager and does an fantastic job, as far as I'm concerned. Laurey was my service advisor. Could not have asked for a more proficient and accurate advisor. I used to take my car to a different dealership, but I switched to Napleton and as long as I keep getting that wonderful treatment that I have from them, that's where I will stay! read more

Horrible customer service. My wife went in for a safety recall and they had to order the parts. She scheduled another appointment to get it done and get scheduled maintenance done as well. The scheduled maintenance was performed but not the recall. She was not told that it wasn't performed either. Upon reading the service notes she found it was not done and when going back in for an explanation was told that the parts were not ordered. I have recently purchased a new vehicle from this location and was going back to purchase a second used vehicle and the General Manager Alex Brixie, and Sales Manager Matt Shrum were VERY unprofessional to work with. They we very slow to respond to questions regarding my interest to purchase a used vehicle, and after I received my loan approval and went to pick up the vehicle they informed me the just sold it to someone else who was financing through them. VERY DISSATISFIED. When I asked the General Manager Alex Brixie for the Hyundai Customer Care number, he told me he WILL NOT give me any of their numbers and I had to deal with my concerns through him. After bringing my concerns to the GENERAL MANAGER, I was left being BULLIED by ALEX for my frustrations with the situation, and he said he is unwilling to help make it right. Purchased a used car from this dealer. Sales man was part time so had work with his back up which was a bit of a hassle. Dealer did not provide me with inspection records OR certified inspection sheet when car was purchased. Had to return several time to resolve. Late getting our plates due to disorganization of the dealer. Had the car for three months and now check engine light is on. Made a service appointment, arrived on time but waited 20 min to get checked in. I was told service visit could take until COB and they do not give loaner cars but I could rent my own if I wanted to... Car is still under manufacture warranty and it's a certified used Hyundai ... Tried to buy a used, certified pre-owned vehicle (2017 Hyunda Santa Fe) from Hazelwood, MO dealer via phone/internet from Chicago, but they couldn't manage to be organized enough to sell me the car. THURSDAY: I agreed to buy the car at online price but they said The "Napleton experience" listed at $1,599 would be discounted at $899 for me. I refused. FRIDAY: they called me and said the Napleton Experience would be $450. I agreed. Paperwork came in with $797 for Napleton experience (coded as VSP) and a VSS charge of $289 which I was told would be removed. I told them to honor the deal, but they said the $450 was a mistake and they could only do $797 (this was via text message). SATURDAY: email from general manger saying he wants to help earn my respect and business; I reply he can do so by honoring the deal we made. No reply. MONDAY: Internet department calls asking about my interest in car..I give overview of situation and say if I hear from them by 5 (this was 2pm) we could work something out. They never contacted me. Over the course of 6 days I dealt with 7 different people, none of whom were knowledgeable about my situation or previous interactions. What started as a good deal turned into a disaster of too many people, lack of communication, and questionable ethics. The kicker is that I would've bought the car with the $797 Napleton experience pricing but they couldn't get their act together enough to discuss the deal. In retrospect, the car's been on the lot for 58 days and they lost a cash buyer because they couldn't figure out how to take my money. I went running to CarMax and couldn't be happier. read more

Pathetic customer service Beware horrible people working there, they would lure you in for the price and then try to charge you a bogus fee of $899 called napelton experience which includes oil change, key replacement etc. when confronted with their fee asking where is it disclosed and no where to be found on their website neither other listings like carguru. He went on saying that the charge is for dealer installed accessories which there were none installed and car was full stock. Once not able to prove that it was dealer installed accessories he asked me if I was a lawyer, why would that matter anyway if I was, they force you to buy it otherwise will not sell the car. Met with this stupid person name Ryan sales manager rude as hell and a show off. Ran credit without showing real numbers and trying to get a loan on what I don't even know what the cost would be. Specifically told them not to run anything until I have final numbers. Had to cuss him out in front of everyone due to his lack of basic manners. He went on even saying that you are not buying the car so I would not even speak to you even though my friend gave me the full authority to deal on his behalf. The week of February 18th I visited this dealership twice - inquiring about two vehicles that were near my max price point. Both times I worked with Greg Patton. He seemed interested in my needs and my wants with my budget. Thursday, February 21st, I brought my family in to show them the car, it was a 2016 Santa Fe, with low miles, priced at $18,000. The family loved it. After that visit, I talked and texted(i still have all of the texts) with Greg regarding our desire to get this car, even though it was $500 over our max price point. At one point(at 5:38pm on the 21st), Greg said "just got done talking to the gm. He glanced at the two cars you're interested in and said we're close enough that we'll make it work, that it's worth coming in Saturday". Great news, right? WRONG!! Come Saturday morning, Greg isn't there(he was in Florida from what i was told) and we're dealing with Kati, whom, according to Greg "is up to speed with what your deal is". After going back and forth with, what i thought was "taken care of", we come to find out that the car which was listed at $18,000, is now $19,750 - due to the Napleton Experience cost, the certification cost and the documentation fee. Instead of meeting us halfway, these folks actually raised their asking price. Again, I have all the documentation to back this up. At this point, our two young kids, one of whom was missing out on her Girlscout Volunteer project(since the "quick transaction" is now over an hour long) - we said we're walking away from this deal. The gm or floor manager(bobby, i think?), came in and tried to justify the increase cost - which I responded is all "minutia since we relied and believed Greg was speaking from a place of knowledge and experience. I finally asked about the other vehicle, which was priced at $17,700, only $200 over our max price point. Was told they could not go any lower, and in fact, after all the certification and Napleton Experience, it would be into the high $18,000's. At this point, we were so discouraged, frustrated and disappointed, we left. Not only did we take away our daughters' volunteer opportunity with her Girlscout troop, but we were deceived and flat out lied to, and making this matter even more frustrating, leading up to our visit, we told our kids we're off to buy a new car. Even when I showed Kati and Bobby(i think that was his name) the messages from their employee about the price, they still would not honor it. Also, during this visit, I texted Greg several times asking him "what the heck is going on with them raising the price"? No response from him. Please consider another dealership before buying from these folks - they are not honest nor do they honor what a current employee says regarding pricing of a vehicle. Lastly, at 5pm on the 23rd(only 6 hours after I left), their website changed the asking price from $18,000 to $17,500, which was the price I offered and was told they couldn't do. In my opinion, this dealership does not put the customer first, nor do they honor a offer(in text form) a deal that was agreed upon a day earlier. read more

I never write reviews unless absolutely necessary but I just wasted over 8 hours of my life on this dealership. I spoke with someone named JON SCHNEIDER who was misleading me the whole time (including his manager who fed him lies in the background) I simply asked Jon to calculate the total price of the vehicle with tax, fees etc and he calculated it wrong, over $1000 over what the price should have been. I finally ask for the manager and he pretty much did everything in his power to convince us to finance through their dealership, fed me lies about my own credit union. He was super rude when we told he that we'd rather use our own credit union. Finally, he told me they would send a buyers order with the total price. Not even 5 minutes later, they called me back saying they messed up their own pricing of the car, all of a sudden the car cost $4000 MORE than what they told me it would be. VERY fishy. Therefore, they posted false pricing of their car on their own website and other national car buying websites. Highly unprofessional and untrained customer service and wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone I know. read more

I was told to schedule an appointment for an oil change, emission test, and tire rotation. An appointment is needed because Hyundai sends coupons through the mail and they get very busy during the week. I was told my wait would be about an hour. I waited 2 1/2 hours. Apparently, they are overbooking the time slots. At any time there were no less than 10-12 people waiting. Upon going through the check out process, the Hyundai associate, Don, told me the tires had been rotated, as I'd requested. The tires had NOT been rotated. Another associate told me that the service guys would wash the car and vacuum the car's interior. The car appeared to be washed with minimal effort and the interior wasn't vacuumed. The car's wheels were obviously skimmed over. Don gave me a coupon for a free oil change, since they forgot to rotate the tires but billed me for it. I'll have to return to the location for the oil change, but otherwise would not plan on returning. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if you're going to wait for 2 1/2 hours with several other waiting customers? Hyundai should focus more on quality and less on quanity. read more

Be very careful when going to this dealership. They lied and lied and lied. They said we were approved with just ok credit for 7.4%. We disputed the interest rate and they ended up finding us a 4.24% interest rate. Our credit score is more than okay. Then they changed the price of the vehicle we were buying after we had already agreed on a final price. The Business manager came over and said they couldn't do it because we had previously agreed to buy a 5 year 60,000 miles power train warranty and no longer wanted to purchase it. We didn't want to purchase it because the car was a used 2019 and it came with a manufacturer's power train warranty. We figured this out on our own. They were not going to tell us and would have let us purchase the unnecessary warranty. The car only had 14,000 miles on it. I asked them why they tried to sell me something I didn't need and was already included with the vehicle. Their response was, "Because you asked for it" Wow is all I can say. We left and purchased a vehicle somewhere else. read more

Brought it in actively having the issue (which only happens on long car rides) left the car running and had the service tech witness it. I just had the worst experience at Napleton Hyundai car dealership up in Hazelwood - 649 Dunn Road. I've heard about companies that bullied and manipulated people into buying cars but I'd never experienced it before. And quite honestly - I thought I was smarter than that. But the sales rep was coached by her GM into saying things in such a unique way, that my husband signed loan papers (when we'd planned on paying cash) for an amount that was $1200 more than the advertised price. The GM told me the extra money was for a warranty, the loan officer told me it wasn't a warranty but for maintenance, and the sales rep said it was for a GPS security they added on the car because their business is in a bad neighborhood and cars get stolen. When I realized what had happened I told them I didn't want the car. They told me they had a binding contract and were forwarding the contract to their bank so they could close out the end of month sales. Their GM, Alex Brixie is a liar. And their sales rep Brittany Carraway played along with the manipulation. I finally had to get help from an otside source to get out of the deal.
