The car buying experience? Great, as anyone would expect. Need a quick oil change? Yep, not terrible because it's an in and out type job. Need more extensive work done? Prepare to be frustrated, and this is where customer care really matters, the service department. Communication isn't a strength of theirs. I've had my car in there a few times, and each time I'm greatly let down by the amount of chasing I need to do to get any sort of information on the status of my car's repairs. I use my car for everything...work, entertainment, transporting my family. To have it in the shop isn't "minor", it's a pause on life and a total rearranging of how things get accomplished. My latest experience has me sitting here without a car for 3 days now, with no more information on it than the moment I handed them the keys. I called them this morning, twice, to finally get a hold of their service department to be told they didn't know what was wrong with my car, they were finishing up a bearings test and would "text you the results of the test in a little bit". No text 4 hours later. I can't get through to the service department now either. I don't know how long they plan to have my car, what is wrong with it, what repairs they're going to do to it, if any, and they've had it now for 2 full business days (3 technically) with an appointment mind you, it's not like I just drove it in out of nowhere and expected them to drop everything. This is similar to the experience I had about 11k miles ago where they had my car for almost 2 weeks. Very frustrating. I'm now in the market for a new vehicle because I'm tired of the BS with this one but I will NOT be buying from Napleton. If they can't service the car they sold me, I'll spend my money elsewhere. Avoid the hassle. read more

I was in the market for a new vehicle. I found a 2018 Hyundai Tucson on their website for sale. I called to inquire about it and they told me i had to make an appt. I made the appt for that evening. My husband and I went to look at it and take a test drive. As soon as we got into the car the salesman told us the motor on the sunroof was broken and they were going to get it fixed. I then noticed the drivers side electric seat wasn't working either, and he stated this would be fixed. So we decided to make the deal. We signed the papers. We then were told the parts for the car would be in early the next week. I received my car 10 days later. Then when I picked up my new car, it was missing all floor mats, the cargo net, the windshield wipers were falling apart and the service engine soon light came on. We called, left messages, sent text messages, with no return calls. It seems once they "signed the deal" they were completely finished with us. We did not finance our car through them, we used our own Credit Union which already offered extended warranties and Gap and we feel this is where they pushed us aside. They will not call us back and obviously do not want our return business! They are advertising products you will not receive. Make sure if you purchase a car from these folks, you get everything they say you are getting. Terrible customer service and very misleading advertising. Also, you have to screenshot the add because they remove it and then tell you that is not what the ad said?! Crooks! read more

I took my car into Napleton Kia of Carmel on November 9, 2024 and requested an oil change and a tire rotation. I paid my bill and left. While driving I decided to look at my tire pressure and noticed that the same tire that was low before the service was still low and in the same location. The tire rotation had not been performed. I called and spoke with Herschel. I was admittedly ticked off and I did curse as I was explaining the situation. Eventually things had calmed down until I was told I would have to wait for a manager to call me back before I would receive a refund. At this point I was also told I was an "@^%hole", and I was hung up on. I am now no longer certain that even the oil change was performed. By the way....still no refund, no apology for the name calling, and no apology for the lie. I am a 3 time Kia owner and purchased this car from Napleton. Napleton has lost a customer and Kia has lost a customer. read more

We visited Napleton Kia on two consecutive days. On the first day, we were just lot hopping looking at options. We spoke to the salesperson who approached us and found a few possibilities. We returned the next day, requested the same salesperson and immediately told him our absolute no-wiggle room budget. After test driving one of the cars we picked out the day before, we proceeded with the paperwork to purchase the car. About a half hour into doing paperwork, the salesman tells us there is a mandatory additional $2,000 fee for the car that covers some superfluous paint coat and theft protection. This additional $2,000 put us $500 over budget before taxes and document fees. Ultimately, this would put us nearly $2,000 over budget. Again, the salesperson knew our budget before we touched the car and he also knew there was the additional $2,000 fee but he neglected to mention it. After explaining for the third time that our budget is set in stone, the salesman brought in his manager who told us they can't make any money on any of their cars without this charge. We walked away from the sale at this point and the manager followed us outside and offered $1,000 off. We explained yet again that we were using outside financing and our loan was the absolute limit for our budget. The manager said he would go and talk to his boss and see what he could be. He never came back. They wasted about two hours of our time, purposefully left out information about additional "mandatory" fees and were very pushy about doing their own financing. The majority of the employees also did not wear their face masks correctly as a COVID precaution. I would not trust Kia of Napleton for any of my business. read more

I was very impressed with my recent visits to the service department. my first visit was for routine maintenance. Zack showed me my options and advised on the services that were recommended. No pressure to do any of the services. I picked and chose the ones that I felt would be of value. We scheduled a followup appointment to replace a leaking windshield fluid pump. Zack did the legwork on that, from ordering the part to verifying the coverage with my third party extended warranty. If I could rate Zack alone, and the dealership service dept separately, I would give him 5 stars. He was easy going and fun to work with. The only negative with the dealership's service department is that during both visits, as well as during a prior 2019 visit, the guest wireless internet was not functioning. I'd like to see them fix that, as I often choose to wait on-premise and connect to my employer's network. read more

I made an appointment to look at a used 2008 Mercedes they had listed on their website, carfax and Facebook marketplace. Michelle confirmed by appointment by email and said she'd make sure to have the car ready to go when I arrive. She asked for my phone number for a file so I obliged. Today they confirmed my appointment yet again by text saying "we'll have the car gassed and cleaned and ready for you". I arrived at the dealer and they started asking me what attracted me to this car, trying to sell me something else, and they stated the car sold last week! The Facebook listing was made THIS week. As of right now writing this review, the car is not only still listed but they've lowered the price on their website and Facebook! The car that does not exist is now cheaper for more people to come look at. I had to find a babysitter, drive 45 minutes and waste my time and gas AFTER confirming my appointment twice and they never even had the car to show me. Don't be fooled by this bait and switch. I expect this kind of behavior from seedy used car dealers, but not a supposedly professional Kia dealer. read more

Worst customer service we've had in a long time! Bought a truck there about a month ago - have already had to put $1500 more into it. Pretty sure they did NOTHING to make sure this truck was in good, basic condition. In the listing photos there was a picture with two sets of keys. They only gave us one. Have had to call several times to check on the other set "they were looking for"....yeah, right. Finally, JORDAN, the sales manager, said they would order a new set to make it right. He was going to call when they came in. Weeks go by with no phone call. Finally we called again and he said they were in and someone should have called, now the key may have been sent back. NO ONE CALLED. JORDAN proceeded to hang up on my husband. While we were in the process of buying the truck, another couple stopped by where we were sitting and told us to walk, to never buy from here. We thought they were being dramatic but Napleton Kia or Carmel has shown WHY that couple was so angry. They are liars. We have been more than patient and given then tons of time to do what they said they would do. Very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. read more
