I was excited to come back here and see what changes were made considering I was excited when this cafe was originally opened, so when I saw an ad on fb saying they would have an Mother's Day happy hr I grabbed a friend and hyped the venue up only to be disappointed. This visit was very lackluster. Now on a positive note I was excited to see there is a second dining area open which makes it more spacious to move around. The patio is a nice size seating area as well. Ki was our server. She was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The ad on facebook stated this event was gonna start at 4p and run to 9pm. It was to have dj, giveaways, drink specials and photo apps. I didn't receive any of this. What we were told was the original $5 off on flights and $18 for flatbread and half a salad. My friend and I stayed to the 5p hr and still no menu changes or drink specials per the ad. The flight i ordered was refreshing, fruity and great sizing. The flatbread pepperoni and sausage pizza were just ok. I'm not sure when the party actually started but to not be prepared and prompt is a bad look in my opinion. read more

Tucked into an historic building - one of many - on Main Street, the space is full of character, with exposed brick, fun orange accents throughout and a thoughtfully divided dining room that makes it feel intimate without being cramped. Even the bathroom deserves a mention (because I'm weird), but it's unexpectedly cute and was clearly designed with care. Our server was genuinely warm from the moment we sat down. The timing of our meals was a bit puzzling. With only three other tables, it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. Normally, that would've been frustrating, especially since we were super hungry, but catching up with a friend I've known for nearly 40 years made the wait feel shorter. Still, our orders weren't complicated; salads and sandwiches, and the table that arrived long after us got their order first, making our wait stand out. Though my friend and I don't drink wine, and the beer selection was pretty limited, just four options, with one out of stock, choices were a bit tight there. Overall, it's a lovely, inviting spot with great service and a lot of personality. If the kitchen timing improves and the drink options broaden just a bit, it may fare better in my book. read more

I would say overall this was a pretty good experience at this location. It was a beautiful day so I think it was nice to sit out on the patio and they had the fireplace going which makes the experience even better. We were notified when we got there that there was a big party and there would be a wait which we didn't mind so we waited but in the end it ended up not being as long as they said, which was even better. Our waitress was great and very friendly. She did a great job of managing the tables that were inside and outside. The food was good and fresh and came out rather quickly and everything was good. I would have liked to experience the wine tower like I've seen it another table, but the wine itself was still good. I will definitely visit again. read more

Went for the Mother's Day brunch and was extremely disappointed. Let's start with the word brunch, which itself is a combination of breakfast and LUNCH. Not here, I reserved the 9:30 AM seating, and even asked when I made the reservation, if there would be both breakfast and lunch items, given that our start time was so early. I was assured that there would be some lunch offerings, sadly there were none. Breakfast consisted of made to order omelets, bacon, sausage, frozen hash browns, frozen waffles, chicken strips, scrambled eggs, frozen french toast, fruit tray and cheese and crackers. Really, for $40? When I asked for coffee it took a while to get, and when it finally came, no cream was offered, only artificial sweeteners were on the table and once I recieved the condiments, I still had to find the server to get a spoon. The best thing about the meal were the drinks, offered were various flavored Mimosas, Bellinis and Bloodly Marys. If I was a heavy drinker that would have been ok, but honestly, annually I go to Mother's Day brunch for the food. I look forward to a day off where I don't have to cook or clean. For the price, I do not recommend The WIne Cafe for brunch. read more

The staff here is always, I mean always welcoming and accommodating. The weather was nice so we asked to sit in the patio, they had heaters and fire pits going and it was lovely. They allowed us to move the tables to get a bit closer to the heaters. We had not realized that we had blocked a pathway to a back table. They said over and over "you're fine". It's a great stop while walking the shops, and also a great destination to meet for a snack and a glass of wine! Go! read more

Stopped in on a Saturday early afternoon for lunch. We'd been wanting to try it out, so this was our opportunity. Nice menu with a variety of lunch selections. Flatbreads, salads, soups, sandwiches and wraps. But they also have charcuterie boards on the menu! Huge selection of wines with a sampler available that was discounted on the day we were there. A few cocktails and NA options. We were not looking to "day drink" so we ordered iced tea, which was very good actually. We both ordered wraps, I had the Philly and Daniela had the chicken fajita wrap. Both arrived HOT, no really hot. Took several minutes for them to cool to an edible temperature. But they were really good and stuffed with ingredients, lots of meat, cheese and veggies. Kettle chips were ok, not great, I will get the salad next time. Cute and quick! The service was friendly, I would of liked to have more knowledge of the wine but it could of been a newer server. They had special on the board but we were told them. We decided on the wine flight which is a very good pour of four wines of your choice for around $35 single glasses running $10-$13. We ordered the buddy board but they do have full meals, the flat bread looks super good. They have a patio with plenty of heaters to keep you toasty. I gave three because the charcuterie board was subpar. The wine list was good but not extensive. On the board there were cheese curds versus artisan cheese variety, the only meat was salami shaped as a flower. They had lots of sweets but no pickled veggies, mustard, olives, jam etc.. which is what what I would expect on the board. They had one veggie a mini cucumber cut up and I mean mini Too many cheese curds.. they defiantly need to spruce up the buddy board to be a bit more flavor rich and upscale. Casual stroll on Main St. and happened upon this spot. The bright and warm colors of the interior were inviting and the staff were pleasant and welcoming. I started off with the Wine Tasting, 4 for $20 which I thought a great deal and they offer Wine Flight, also with 4 for $35 which is a great deal. The Steeple View, happens to be a Missouri Wine, was the one I thought to be more enjoyable than the others I tried, so I settled on a full glass of that. Great location, the inside a bit small, but they offer an outside courtyard which will be handy during the great weather days. Food menu had an ample selection of charcuterie, flatbreads and sandwiches, but I didn't try food this visit. I observed others dishes as they came out and they looked really great.
