Tucked in a corner of the Miracle Mile shopping center, is a restaurant that is not a chain. Anyone who has been to Monroeville knows while they are there you have to look for them. This is a pizza place, but I was doing some Christmas shopping by my self so I just wanted something to go, and a sandwich was a better choice than pizza. This sub was just alright, mostly ham, the red onion was way too thick, the pepperoncini I had added and their Italian dressing made it somewhat better. Would I go out of my way to eat here? no. But if I am stuck in Monroeville it is a choice that isn't a national chain, and is a local business. Next time I would probably try their pizza, their vegetables on the sandwich were cut for that, not a sub. It was not a bad sub, I finished it, but there was not anything remarkable about it.

Napoli Pizza can be found nestled between DSW Shoes and Bath and Body Works in the Miracle Mile plaza in Monroeville. I have always wanted to try Napoli as there generally seems to be a fair amount of people there. I decided to grab a pizza to take home one Saturday when I was running around doing Holiday errands. Most of the tables were full of customers dining in. The place is large enough and was decorated nicely for the Holiday season. I ordered a medium pizza half cheese, half bacon. It was fine. I went with the round cut, but looking at people who were dining in orders, the square looked good.

This place is in a strip mall, and is small inside. The food is delicious - we got salad, breaded mushrooms, and thin crust pizza. Disappointments included: dressings/sauces in packets, only iceberg lettuce on the salads... but everything else was positive - cooked fresh, served hot, some of the best pizza crust I've ever eaten. The food is 5/5. The only reason we gave 4 stars is because we visited during a heatwave when it was 95 degrees and the AC was out, it was 85 inside. Not their fault, and also obviously a fluke problem! The service was good and the workers friendly. There were a lot of take out orders being made while we were there. Don't let the strip mall location, dated fixtures, and plasticware deter you from visiting - the pizza is delicious!

One of the less known about top Pittsburgh pizza spots for sure Crust is always solid, sauce is decent and good cheese ratio on it. I hate 90% of Pittsburgh pizza but whenever my friend's family ordered it they would get from here and I never was dissatisfied

Pizza has a thin crust (which I personally love) toppings were plentiful, pizza price was average. Mozzarella sticks seemed to be frozen and a little expensive for what we received.

August 2024 - Back again and still fantastic! Highly recommended. Large Sicilian, half plain half pepperoni. No leftovers ever.

A local, small pizzeria that sells pretty decent pies. Prices are alright and they have more than just pizza: they also got pasta, calzone, Stromboli, and so on. I got to try the white pizza (Bianca) and the regular, plain cheese pizza. The cheese pie was a pretty good deal in my opinion, but not great. Large is around 16". For the Bianca, I thought it was on the oily side. Had lots of garlic, small chunks sprinkled around. It was still quite good. The tomatoes are quite sparse on this pie. And when you do taste them, they taste slightly off. They lack both color and flavor. The price was also not the greatest in my opinion. The cheese pizza is is NY style, with a moderately thin crust. Sauce is not distinct but not bad either. I enjoyed the pie, especially for the price. Now, the real 'issue' with the pie is the crust. It's got an odd sour taste to it in my opinion, so I did not enjoy it. Customer service is only okay. Not the best, but I did feel a bit rushed when ordering. It's a good spot to get pizza if you are shopping at Miracle Mile but don't expect much.

Authentic pizzeria! This place has been around practically FOREVER!! Always a treat to stop in, and grab a slice of their New York style pizza. The interior hasn't changed much over the years, but I give them a lot of credit. They are outnumbered by plenty of chain store pizza shops and other newly added trendy restaurants, but have managed to hold their own. Sometimes, it simply comes down to the product you serve and not always how new and pretty the furnishings around you look. Napoli has always been my choice for pizza when I am in the area. Good sauce and a great pizza crunch!

All the chicken dishes are great including the Parm and Marsala are my go to dishes. A nice selection of seafood and veal as well. I've had catering from here and the chicken and beef dishes were great. The meal included mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. I especially love to support small family owned businesses. I've been able to make two or three meals out of one entree here. Overall, service is pretty good but can be hit or miss. There was one day that I think they must have been having an off night because everyone seemed crazy stressed and very short with us when questions were asked. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the side salad was. It was a great balance/mix of ingredients with delicious dressing. My main entree (Strozzapretti) was tasty but a bit seemed like there was a bit too much grease/oil or something that made the dish seem heavier than it needed to be. My mom the matriarch, myself and my very Irish guy who loves Italian food too stopped at Shrodi's for an early dinner. Yes, I've been seeing the many posts and comments on social media. Yes, I know the very long family history and know the infamous shrodi from his restaurant back in the good ol' days. So that is my prelude to this dining experience today. We walked in and were greeted by Natalie who also lucky for us was our fabulous server. Italian. Authentic. Tradition History What is better than a quaint stone restaurant with a Basil garden thriving as you walk up? Well, a family tradition and staff who all welcome you as family .. yes, we know the family history of Shrodi. The menu was plentiful and the selections took much time to choose and with the outstanding help of Natalie we made our picks! What is cool is my mom is not a big eater anymore and chose off the senior menu which is very clever to have available and still had enough leftovers for lunch today. The stuffed banana peppers with Sunday sauce were amazing. Three served generously and one went home! Veal piccata was delish with a nice zest of lemon. Large portions! House salad with their house dressing to add according to our taste. Many kalamata Olives. Cherry tomatoes Fresh mushrooms. And freshest mixed greens Our Irishman picked his favorite penne with vodka sauce. It was the best he's ever had. And he's super picky. I have to agree! The added prosciutti and seasonings were truly mouth watering. The chef is masterful in the kitchen and believe me, every mouth watering taste was worth the wait! Natalie was fabulous and attentive to us from hello to see you again soon goodbye. Everyone waved goodbye as we left. Oh I forgot to mention they are making a bocce court out back to really add to its authentic Italian tradition and flair. It's a little bit of Heaven tucked away in Penn Hills! Do not pass it up!

We walked in at 8:15 p.m., completely unaware they closed at 9:00 p.m. There were only two tables occupied, so I immediately had that "uh-oh, we're those people" feeling. Thankfully, the staff couldn't have been nicer. We never felt rushed, and the service was wonderful from start to finish. This is a BYOB spot, and trust me....you should come hungry. We started with the stuffed peppers. One was spicy, one wasn't. Was it a culinary surprise? A pepper lottery? I'll never know, but both were delicious. I ordered the chicken Parmesan with rigatoni, and my husband got the spinach-stuffed shells with meatballs. When the plates arrived, I briefly wondered if they had mistaken us for a family of four. The portions were huge. We ate until surrender and still had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. On our way out, we couldn't resist grabbing dessert from the cooler: limoncello cake and tiramisu. Because after consuming enough pasta to fuel a small village, dessert seemed like the responsible thing to do. We made it out by 9:00 p.m., and the staff remained friendly right up until closing time. Great food, generous portions, excellent service, and prices that won't make you cry into your cannoli. We'll definitely be back--just next time we'll arrive a little earlier and wear our stretchy pants.
