Making the drive from McKinney to Grapevine just to enjoy dinner @ Napoli's. This time I broke from my traditional selection and tried the Fettuccine Alfredo. WOW ! ! What an incredible treat! ! don't be alarmed, but when you eat at the restaurant and use your credit card, it'll show up as "JB KINSEL ENT"... when i saw this i was about to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. but after looking closer, i realized the charge was for the sit down restaurant. This place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I would give the ice cream side and market side more like a 4 out of 5 stars, but the restaurant side like a 3 out of 5 stars. Again, nothing that was bad, but nothing that was wow amazing as well. We ended up getting three dishes: fettuccine Bolognese, chicken marsala & butter penne kid meal. Out of the fettuccine Bolognese, chicken marsala i really enjoyed the fettuccine Bolognese, and i think the ricotta made the dish more rich and gave it extra flavor. Food was good. Shrimp pasta was spicy but tolerable. Meat and cheese board only thing I didn't like was the cheese. Hard cubes of just Parmesan. Not very appetizing. Not the cheese I would have picked. Hands down the Lasagna was the best dish. Service was slow but overall enjoyed the waitress. Very polite and hard working. Beautiful restaurant. Server Ryan welcomed us warmly and took good care of us. He was assisted by another server who was a good support. We love Italian food and weren't disappointed! The pasta is made in house and was delicious! The GF crust was better than most, the chicken was tend we and the shrimp scampi was delicious! Breadsticks were large, but very fresh. Stopped in here with a friend on a hot Sunday afternoon while escaping a thunderstorm outside, and it turned into such a lovely little break in the day. My chocolate ice cream was absolutely divine. Rich, creamy, and dangerously good to the point where I immediately wanted another scoop. The market area is also incredibly charming, filled with Italian groceries, wine, and all sorts of kitchen treasures and little knick knacks that make you want to slowly browse every shelf. It feels cozy, welcoming, and just a little tucked away from the world outside. Fast service, great food, and the perfect spot to pause for a moment while the storm rolled through. Ambiance was more than I thought when I saw the outside. I figured it was going to be a small little bistro type place to which nothing is wrong with that but when I walked in I was delighted to see to my left was a huge area to shop in and to the right was seating then you go through a threshold to another huge seating area plus the bar. I really want to say Kyle is the one who sat me and took our order. This was a great place for a first date for sure. I had the Italian margarita and he had an old-fashioned. Mine was blissfully tasteful and I did try a little of his although I'm not a bourbon girl and it was actually really good in my opinion.. I stopped in for lunch yesterday before an appointment. The chef seated me and suggested a few options for lunch. I ordered the cacio e pepe off the specials board and added a house salad. If you do not know what cacio e pepe is, it is a dish with a few ingredients (pasta, cheese, black pepper, cream sauce). You can add protein to it, but it is pretty basic comfort food. Although it looks simple to prepare, I have eaten it in several DFW restaurants where it is atrocious. There is a fine line between delicious and paste with these ingredients, and it needs balance. The service was great. The food came quickly but I was not rushed to eat. The salad was fine - basic, fresh, and the balsamic dressing was not runny. When the cacio e pepe came out, it looked and smelled phenomenal. There was bread included, but I ignored it (which is not the norm for me). After the first bite, I was sold. This dish was freaking fantastic. The chef stopped and brought me fresh herbs from the plants out front (which were delicious). The dish was amazing on its own, and the herbs elevated it to another level of fantastic. It would have been inappropriate to lick the plate, but I did consider it (because the food was perfect). My mom and I went to Grapevine for a dance recital from the Fred Astaire Studios of DFW! The theater was located off Main Street. We watched the first two act and then we decided to leave to get some food. Napolis was right across the street. They have an Italian market and an Italian café right next to each other. We were seated immediately and we were able to order off of the lunch menu that ended at 4 o'clock. My mom ordered fettuccine Alfredo and I had beef Bolognese. The server was great, fast and efficient and friendly. We received our food and a very timely manner and everything tasted delicious. We went next-door to the market after we ate to get some Italian gelato ice cream. We split some mint chocolate chip and it was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. read more

Cute corner restaurant with a full market that we later realized you could order quick meals from like pizza slices. Lots of packed seats with a full bar however it's really loud and tight. Granted we went on a Saturday evening during the Christmas season. Service was very attentive and upbeat considering they were so busy. We had a wait and they have a QR code to scan to get on the waitlist. They assumed 15-20 minute wait and it ended up being right around 18 minutes so they definitely know their crowd. On to the food... We ordered the large Caesar assuming it would be large enough for 3 since it was $18 and small was $8. We were wrong and actually disappointed on the blandness. There was barely any dressing and the cheese was sparse so we were getting worried about what we'd get for our entrees. We were all pleasantly surprised with all the bursts of flavors with out shrimp scampi and Margherita pizza. Chef's kiss! That pasta was so light and creamy. Shrimps were cooked perfectly and the pizza was fresh and crusty crispy. Dessert- Cannolis = perfect crunch and the cream was not super sweet. Tiramisu = heavenly!!! Cappuccino = yum!!! Not bitter at all! We ended up really enjoying most of our experience. It was just too loud to enjoy company at the time we were there and too tight. read more

Napoli's Italian Kitchen & Market - Main St (Grapevine) Upon waking inside you get a feeling you stepped into Italy. The greeter welcomed my family and showed us to our table. Shortly, a bartender came over and asked what we would like to order. (They were short staffed) Zander, was friendly and helpful with naming different specialties they offered for the evening. Some of the items we ordered were "Baked Rigatoni" and "Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo." The dishes were served fairly quickly, after ordering them, about ten minutes later. It was hot and tasty. Although, some of the noodles and chicken could have used little more time to cook. One thing that makes a place great to visit, is when a busy owner comes to greet each customer at their table. That's exactly what you'll receive here. They also offer great gelato and market to buy variety of items for you to enjoy at home. Although the staff was friendly and the ambiance fine, both my husband and I felt very sick right after the meal (served/cooked in way too much fat) and I had a bad food intoxication with all the symptoms you could imagine right after leaving the place. It started from a recommendation from the Gaylord Hotel and solidified with a call to the shop when Michael told me to come down, there is space for us. It was just a 10 minute Uber ride but after eating here it would have justified an hour drive... I inquired about the Lasagna (always a favorite of mine,) and told us about the Short Rib special. (His exact words were the best short ribs on Main Street. (These were the best short Ribs I have tasted on many streets including those where I live on Long Island.) So... Here's the food line up. (There are pictures of all the food attaqched.) Appetizer: Tomatoes, Mozzarella and capers in a DELICIOUS balsamic vinaigrette. Helene and I shared and there was plenty to go around. Main: Short Ribs - served with a delicious polenta and fabulous rich-savory brown sauce, a very healthy portion and Helene gave me a taste... Also AMAZING. Lasagna - I love lasagna and can be really critical of it. This dish excelled with all ingredients. Fabulous homemade lasagna noodles with a great meat and plenty of rich-tasty cheese and wonderful marinara sauce. All their pasta is homemade. Dessert: Chocolate Bomb - (please see my pictures.). This was a chocolate lovers delight. A large fist of chocolate, cake with a cholocolaye shell... with additional pieces of chocolate. A dish for one that has to be shared. The chocolate bomb is cleary a chocolate bomb.. I enjoyed dessert with some coffee. All in all this was a fabulous meal in a restaurant that should be part of the New York scene. From my intial phone call to my walk out the place was amazing. As they say. "They hit it out of the park." You won't find the ball, it's stil traveling. I'm not sure why anyone would give ths shop less then five stars. If you didn't like something that doesn't always mean it's not good, It could be because you expected something different. I was taking my son to a show across the street at the Palace theater and he loves pizza so we had to try it. We arrived around 5:30 because the show didn't start until 7:00 p.m. So we were were early for dinner. But we were promptly grated promptly seated promptly given our obligatory glasses of water. Our waiter was Dane and he was awesome. Extremely attentive. Gave suggestions and deserved every penny he gets. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza and an order of mozzarella covered garlic bread. He said they were really awesome. The only thing I tasted was the garlic bread and it really was that good. I ordered the Chianti braised short ribs with mushroom risotto and I can't tell you how impressed I was. The meat completely fell apart, no need for a fork. I ordered 2 hazelnut espresso martinis and, while they were good, they were a bit sweet for me. That's just personal preference and no reflection on the bartender. read more

I've been walking past this place for years and had only stopped into the little market with gelato which is amazing. I finally sat down and ordered food and it was outstanding! Great place for a date night and service from Xander, our waiter was fantastic! I had the best chicken piccata I have ever had and I love that all the entrée's come with a bread stick to dip in the rest of the sauce on the plate. I will be back to try the lasagna next time. Ran into this restaurant in search for a lunchtime spot and had no wait. For starters we ordered the white christmas margaritas and a gingerbread old fashion drink. I loved the margarita but not so much the old fashion. We started off with the garlic bread topped with mozzarella cheese. It wasnt too bad but lacked the garlicky flavor. As for our entrees, we got the fettuccine alfredo, shrimp diavolo, spaghetti pomodoro, the pepperoni pizza a cup of tomato soup and the napoli chicken sandwich. The fettuccini lacked any sort of flavor. Just a milky mess. Did not like it at all. As for the other dishes they were liked and i really loved the soup. As I enter the restaurant, I am greeted by Daniel. He was welcoming and witty setting I high expectation for my experience. We find our spot on the PET FRIENDLY patio alone the sidewalk. Perfect for eating and people watching. Brook was our server. She was delightful. I ordered and then asked her opinion of my choice. Brook advised that the Lasagna soup was indeed a great choice. My Lasagna soup was a creamy, smooth sauce with meat, pasta and cheese. Absolutely amazing served with perfectly toasted bread. Went here recently... refer to my first review. Their alfredo turned back into basically heavy cream with no salt or cheese. Bartender spilled water onto my friends food and didnt offer to replace it. It was so terrible there was no use in complaining. . Great location! Lots of shopping near by and an Italian market connected to the restaurant that you can buy gifts for yourself and others at. Service was good. Our server answered all our questions and was very pleasant. Cons though we went on a hot day and the restaurant was almost uncomfortably warm. I understand in TX it's hard for AC to keep up but at a restaurant it's a must. Also the food here was just fine. Nothing terrible but also nothing amazing. The gelato can't be beat! I got chocolate chip in a fresh waffle cone. It was delicious. It was a bit soft though The temperature inside the market was muggy and stuffy. I mentioned something to the cashier and asked if the AC was working. She gave no response. As we walked in the cooler was leaking all over the floor. This is a safety hazard for sure. There were 3 of us and we all ordered a single slice of pizza with water. When our pizza slices arrived, I had to ask the others if we had ordered these pizza slices minus the cheese. In all honesty, if I was the person putting together these dishes, I would've been embarrassed to have walked out with these. And, these were ONLY single slices of pizza! Maybe they ran out of cheese right before they made our slices, but what we got were three pieces of sliced dough.
