Farina's Winery is charming, with friendly staff, a relaxed vibe, no pretense. The wines are solid, but full disclosure: I've always leaned California. That said, the wine is definitely approachable, worth sipping slowly, and the setting makes it easy to linger. If you're in Grapevine and want a winery that's not stuffy, Farina's hits the mark. Just don't expect Napa-level fireworks -- this is Texas wine doing its own thing.

Visited this place with some friends while visiting grapevine. The place seemed a very cute cozy Italian restaurant. Upon arrival sadly the hostess did not seem very friendly or wanting to be there but maybe because the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes however still customer service is still very important. She took us to our table while slamming the menus and utensils on the table. However our waitress was kind so she made up for the hostess rude behavior. I ordered a basil pasta with chicken which was truly amazing. Overall great restaurant with great food but the hostess might need to use more training in providing great customer service.

Another great restaurant on Grapevine's historic Main Street! Large dining area, Bar adjacent. A bit dark inside. Small outdoor dining area out front. Very clean and well maintained. Service was very good! Food was excellently prepared... hot and delicious. Excellent garlic bread. The large front windows allow great view of Main Street as well as people watching! It's a definite must try if you haven't! We will definitely return!

We came to Farina's Winery & Cafe for a quick snack and a cool down. The place does have an outdoor patio area with plenty of space however; it was too hot the day we went so we enjoyed the indoor seating. Again plenty of room indoors and parking is along the street or parking area. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had beverages and Baked Artichoke Heart with Garlic bread. All was delicious. Enjoy! :)

I had tried to come to Farina's in the past but at the time they were busy and even though I was seated with my party I was not served in a timely manner and ended up going somewhere else. I tried again and my experience was completely different. The restaurant is on main street with a plethora of other wineries and restaurants. Farina's is cute and feels very authentic, and they have a large selection of wines and a decent amount of food options. I came to eat before an event and I was seated immediately and the staff gave me a great wine recommendation. The wine was smooth, robust and fruity. It had all the best attributes of a red wine. I ordered the Margherita flatbread pizza. It was amazing! Beautiful tomatoes with loads of delicious basil and the crust was cooked perfectly, it was thin, crispy and the cheese was gooey. If I had more time I would have had another glass of wine. Next time I I'm in Grapevine I will definitely come back.

Stopped by Farina's after landing at DFW on return home. Happy hour deals are only on select drinks but no food. I thought they used to at least offer discounts on pizzas? The half-order option for pasta dishes is nice since it is more than enough for one person / meal. However, with hindsight I would have paid the minimal $5 more to get a full order to take some home. Not only was the bar service by Corinne perfect as she is very personable without coming across as "fake", but her recommendation on the basil pesto pasta was spot on! Delicious! Great, casual atmosphere. One of the better options on Main St in Grapevine.

Cute winery / restaurant in Old Grapevine. Good service with reasonable prices. Flatbread / pizza was tasty, but could have been crispier (I asked for well done). Farina salad was very good.

Ambiance was old town Grapevine. Service: we sat at the bar. Service was lackluster. Not very attentive. Staff seems to just be going through the motions. Food: we only had wine. I had a Chianti. It was hot. Not room temperature but literally hot. Several degrees above room temp. What really bothered me was the ice machine and water pitcher right next to a cleaning faucet and cleaning bottle. Please don't tell me the water in the pitcher comes from this sink?!?!?

The Christmas decorations were cute and it felt festive inside! We had a group of four and expected a wait since we didn't make a reservation, so we weren't surprised when the host said it would be about an hour and half. It ended up being about a 40 minute wait! Where we were sat it was super loud because a band was playing so it was really hard to hear anyone talk. My friend was very unhappy with her ravioli because she ordered the half portion for $15 and didn't expect it to only be three raviolis, which left her very hungry. Other than that, the food was good and the service was nice.

    Cheers!

We stop in here occasionally for a drink while traipsing along Main Street. They have a good selection of both imported and domestic wines, as well as a solid food menu. The service here has always been friendly and welcoming. The one time we got a pizza (flatbread) here, we loved it. It was spilling over with toppings and tasted great. For Happy Hour, their specials are considered some of the best in town.

Service is the best I've found in Grapevine. Food is outstanding. Atmosphere is perfect. Nice soft window light.

    Salmon piccata! Delicious!

The servers were amazing. My bar experience was excellent. And my salmon piccata was out of this world.

Clubs still existed though, in the form of speakeasy's. Volstead is fashioned after a speakeasy from the era, and you feel it walking in. The place has an old time feel to it. My service was great. Friendly, cheerful, and a Ray of sunshine in the mysterious and dim lights, reminiscent of a speakeasy. I ordered a Cheeseburger and it came with Skinny Fries. Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.
