Asked for one minor change in my dinner and was told no. Got chicken and yellow curry and the chicken was so tough and o eat cooked I couldn't eat it. Complained.. got the bill.. and nothing was done to compensate for the fact that I couldn't eat my meal. Completely disgusted with the level of service here. It was absolutely lovely here. Not only is the ambiance intimate, but the food was delicious. I had the Thai basil fried rice and even though it was a tad bit on the sweet side, it didn't override my senses too much to not enjoy it. I ordered it with vegetables which had a good variety. But what blew me away was the Thai iced tea. I'm not a fan of teas but I wanted something other than water and this did not disappoint. Woah I have driven by this bad boy a few hundred times and never given it a second glance until I smelled something amazing on my way out of target one day, it had to be NaraDeva, so I yelped them and discovered all the reviews! Bookmarked. A few weeks later we decided to go here, I literally live a mile away so I was really hoping it could be a go to spot. When you walk in, the decorations are the first thing you notice, they are so fun, you totally forget that you are sharing a shopping center with Ross, Target and Home Depot, more like you are transported to Thailand. We ordered the Beef Jerkey, the Basil Fried Rice and Crispy noodles. First off, the beef jerky isn't what you think it will be, but a fresh spin on it! How cool! The Basil friend rice says that it is spicy, and we got it "Medium" Spicy, but it was HOLY HELL MY MOUTH IS BREATHING FIRE. So from now on when there is a spicy symbol at this restaurant, I will trust it! I loved the crispy noodles, they were not spicy, although there was way too much sauce, I didn't know what to do with all of it, it was like a soup. Then we got mango sticky rice for desert. YUM! All the deserts looked absolutely amazing, and it was really hard to chose just one, but I love mango and they said it was in season, so I couldn't pass it up. We will be back! read more

What a gem. Back in the strip mall area adjacent to millenia mall, NaraDeva was a pleasent surprise. We have been in Orlando so much lately planning our wedding and now after the wedding we were back to visit bloomingdales and sort a few details of our registry out. This thai place had come up on numerous times when we were yelping while at vendor meetings in the area but we always seemed to choose something else. When we left bloomie's we were very hungry. It was good friday, we hadn't had much to eat (on purpose per rules!), and my husband wanted food quick. So what was good flavorful food, that was healthy, not too expensive and seafood based? Thai. We ordered 2 sets of spring rolls quickly. They had shrimp and were pretty tasty although I would have appreciated more herbs. The dipping sauce was standard sweet thai chili but the addition of chopped peanuts was nice. I would try other appetizers on a return visit for not only variety but also they didn't blow me away to were I would ignore their long list of yummy sounding apps. We ordered a dish each, my husband shrimp pad thai and I ordered Soft Shell crab green curry. The soft shell crab usually comes with a choice of a ginger sauce or a yellow curry but I really love green curry and asked if they could do it. They granted my request. I was in heaven. The soft shell crab was perfectly fried, not too heavy but enough to get a good crisp. The green curry sauce was great and the perfect heat for my "mild" request (which would be like medium hot wings level of hot as curry has natural spices.) It was a perfect dish. I would gladly return any day for it. MY only fault with my dish, is that the rice was a little sticky/gummy. Not inedible by any means but a little underwhelming for a place who should be doing rice on point and lots of it all day long. My husbands pad thai was very good. It wasn't as flavorful as other pad thai we have had. The shrimps were large and well cooked. He ordered it medium and it was a hair spicy but what made the spicy hard was that they seemed to use ground pepper poweder instead of the flakes or paste we are used to. At least with the flakes you can pick out some of the seeds or flakes and "cool" down a bite now and again. On a return we would order it mild and ask for the spice caddy. Prices were reasonable considering it was dinner and we had seafood entrees. (I had considered tofu until I saw the soft shell crab and that tofu green curry would have been a steal price for a quality dinner in the millenia area!) We left full and happy. We are so sad we passed it over when we were right there so many times. We will be back, in fact we will plan our millenia trips around a mealtime just for it. This place is magical ! Delicious Thai food in such a beautiful setting. Transports you right out of Orlando ! Prices and portions are great ! Can alter spice level and service is awesome ! Always go for early dinner so can't attest to availability. update on April 1, 2018... was recently diagnosed w an autoimmune disorder so no more gluten for me. Once again this restaurant has proven its one of the better restaurants in the area. When we pass through Orlando, we try to eat here. Today was yet another delicious and delightful meal. Their green papaya salad is delicate and always fresh. I could live on that salad! Our family ordered different meals and all where good. The coconut soup is just right! It was only for the sake of convenience that I dined at NaraDeva for the second Saturday in a row, but I'm so glad I did. Again, it was great, the place is gorgeous, and much to my happiness they were doing some brisk business. I had spring rolls with sweet Thai chili sauce and an entree of "five spice braised chicken with 2 hard-boiled eggs." Mightily mightily delicious. (Sorry about the eggs, Colleen, but you could push them out of the way!) After my second visit I've decided that NaraDeva is one of my two favorite Thai restaurants in Metro Orlando, the other being in Ocoee. read more

I was so disappointed with this restaurant. We ordered the seafood skewers for 23.95, beef pad Thai, pork spring rolls, and beef salad. Sadly, this is a one star restaurant for quality of food and wait time for our to go order (38 minutes: we timed it). The skewers were the saddest collection of overpriced seafood: there was 1 skewer for previously frozen shrimp, squid, tiny bay scallops, and previously frozen oysters. The beef pad Thai was heavy on the tamarind pulp and the noodles were a little overcooked/too soft. They ended up giving us veggie spring rolls instead of pork and the flavor was dominated by what I think are canned bamboo shoots. As for the beef salad, we were hoping for something like Nam tok, but what we got instead didn't have toasted rice and was really bland- just tasted of a little lime juice or vinegar and sugar. Please save your time and money and try somewhere else. We ended up spending over $65 and almost 40 min of our time for food that really wasn't good. If you want to stay in the millennia area, Pei Wei is usually a solid bet and Sushi katana is also pretty good. read more

When i came to pick up my order, they said they gave mine to someone else?! ASK FOR A NAME SO THIS DOESNT HAPPEN?!?! i have to wait while they make my food. I ordered panyang chicken with an extra side of veggies. I am so glad i got the extra veggies bc there was NONE in my curry?! Other places pack panyang with zucchini, peppers, squash, etc...i got exactly 3 strips of red pepper. Thats it. The flavor of the sauce and my brown rice were fine, but the lack of veggies really annoyed me. NaraDeva is the brain child created by the love affair of 26 years. It's owned by a husband and wife duo. The owner's talent lies not only in her exquisite cooking but is showcased by her 'hands on' approach of personally staining the beams, laying down the floor tiles, and even distressing the fireplace. Too many restaurants tone and even change the originality of their food to appeal the masses. The extensive menu at NaraDeva boasts of a menu inspired by her mother's cooking, a few dishes from the streets of Thailand and some handed down by family generations. Pricing might seem a tad higher when you glance at the menu, but the generous portions and fresh cooking seems justifiable. Unlike French cuisine, South Eastern cuisine cannot be given justice by skillfully presented photographs or eloquent writing. The savory-spicy flavors of Thai food have to be tasted to truly relish its worth. Only on extremely rare occasions do I venture out to Indian restaurants outside of India simply because I cook Indian food and nothing remotely tastes even similar to what I am accustomed to having being raised in India. I can relate to the owner's commitment to maintain the sanctity of authentic Thai dishes, inspired by her mother's cooking. This being said short of taking a flight to Thailand, NaraDeva seems to be one of the rare places reminiscent of authentic style Thai cooking. For all the people hooked on heat and complex yet comforting flavors Thai cuisine has to offer, NaraDeva is one restaurant I am pleased to endorse is worth the trek, regardless of which suburb of Orlando you reside in. Soft Shell Crab dish (prepared in Yellow Curry or Fresh Ginger) - we chose fresh ginger, breaded soft-shell crap stir fried in brown sauce w/ ginger, green pepper, onions and mushrooms. This dish was very yummy. ** This dish was really meant to be as an entree but we got it as an appetizer Entrees| Shrimp Pad Thai - A little on the sweeter side of the typical pad thai. Basically stir fried noodles with shrimp. Minced Salad Pork - This dish was very refreshing. Kind of reminded me of lettuce wraps but minus the greasiness. Ground pork (alternative opts for meat are available) infused with lemon juice and basil on a bed of lettuce. Served w/ a side of sticky rice. Deep Fried sweet and sour fish - My ALL time favorite at any Thai restaurants. It is a whole red snapper deep fried w/ the sweet and sour chili sauce over it. I worked in restaurants for 10 years so I have a certain sympathy and patience with establishments, especially locally owned but the service was horrible. This guy who was taking care of us was so rude to my date and I that I finally lost my cool. $50 for crappy food and even worst service. Don't waste your time, if you're in the area and want Asian, go to Panda Express (yeah, that bad) and if you want real Thai!!! Make your way downtown to mills 50. Naradeva creeps up on you in the best way. It's low key, out of the way, but I find myself going here more and more and each time is a delight. Like most Thai restaurants in the area, it's in a strip mall setting an easy to overlook. The interior is surprisingly nice and the staff is super attentive and helpful without hovering over you. They have a chicken wing app that is small and messy, but delicious. We also always get an app of steamed pork dumplings, which are always perfectly prepared and served with a tasty dipping sauce. For entrees, we always go with the green or red curry which is out of this world. I always finish every bite and secretly wish I had more, but the portion is just right. We decided to try to have dinner here without any luck!! My boyfriend has a deadly allergy to every form of onion (chives, leeks, scallions...) and carries an epi pen plus liquid Benadryl on him at all times. We informed the waitress of his allergy with the epi pen visibly in sight on our table. She told us there wasn't any way we could safely eat there because they cut and prepare every dish on the same cutting board. Red flag right there!! This establishment cuts veggies, fish, meats etc on one board. Grade F for food safety and handling. Diners be warned, if you have any type of food allergy.... You are not safe dining at this restaurant!! Go elsewhere!! We will go back to our favorite Thai restaurant NAPASORN in Downtown Orlando from now on instead of trying any more new places. This is probably the worst place I have been to. The service is horrible, the server messed up the order and we got our food after 45 minutes. And they missed our appetizer. We saw the group who came in with us ate and paid before we get our food. The food was not delivered until we asked two different servers about the situation. When we finally get the food, the food was over cooked and salty. What a salty day it was, I wish other people in this restaurant do not share the same experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention the expensiveness of the place. Absolutely horrendous. Go at your own risk. read more

Great Thai restaurant located near the Mall of Millennia with a lot of vegan options. The Tofu is very fried, almost too fried, but the flavors were great. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and had an authentic atmosphere. I would definitely go back and try out some other dishes! read more

I adore this place. From my experience with thai food, this is the best I have had in Orlando. Everytime I go, I get the same thing. Chicken satay with a side of both peanut sauce and heavenly cucumber dressing. I pair it with shrimp fried "eggrolls", though that is not what they are. They are whole shrimp wrapped in a mix of some sort and deep fried. It is so well done, I love it. The service is very quick and so friendly. The waitress i've gotten seats us in the same booth, always smiles, and always makes sure we are enjoying our food. They have a menu with pictures of some of the dishes, which is great if one is not familiar witih thai. The decor is very unexpected when you enter, and it is so quiet, that the fountain is a wonderful feature! Should really check them out, anyone would be surprized! read more

Wow! The decor is absolutely beautiful, very authentic and felt transported into another world within walking past the door. The lunch specials are great but the battered prawns in tamarind sauce are truly something worth trying. I will definitely order that again no question. A great little place for a good "Thai fix" near Millenia Mall! Stopped in for a mid-week lunch meal and walked away very satisfied. The native waitress was very knowledgeable of the different curry offerings and thoroughly explained the contents & flavor profile of each dish. With her assistance, I selected the Red Curry w/ chicken (from among several interesting curry styles offered) on the lunch menu. Very good stuff! Rich coconut milk melded with the red curry spice blend (ordered "hot" in this case) to bring a memorable dance-party to the taste buds! The dish is served from the kitchen in a bowl & is accompanied with a side of white rice and a dinner plate to create your own curry/rice mix. While the Red Curry sauce was very good, it is obvious the chicken had joined the curry party at the last minute. Good, but would prefer the bird carry a bit more innate flavor of the dish rather than relying solely on the scrumptious sauce Be sure to ask for the special Thai condiment tray . . . For that little extra flavorful zing! (Yep, plenty of iced was needed at this lunch and always refilled with a smile.) I ordered the Chicken Curry Puffs (little oily but flakey and savory) Fried Tofu (just a little crispier would've been better) Chicken Red Curry (WOW THE FLAVORS MUST TRY! Got mine mild spicy so there was a sweetness then slowly spicy that lingered omg so good) the Togo portion of curry is great maybe a little more rice would be nice. I haven't had Thai food in years! Why? I'm not sure. But I was in the area and we were hungry. This was right where we were at after an IKEA trip. The service was great and helpful. The waiter could tell we weren't sure about what to get, so he brought us an album of pictures of all of their dishes. We both got the Pad Thai. We loved it! When asked how hot you want it, be careful! I love hot food, but the extra hot is made with habanero peppers. I settled on medium to be on the safe side. I was sweating by the time I finished! So if you don't like hot, then get the regular. Overall a nice little place! I hope we are able to come back again. read more

What a great Thai Restaurant. I instantly loved it when we walked in the door because they embraced the Thai experience with how they designed their interior. It really created a "I just traveled to Thailand to eat tonight" feel. We ordered an appetizer & it came out promptly. The stuffed won-tons are amazing! For dinner I tried the garlic beef served with carrots & cabbage with brown rice on the side. It was amazing too, I couldn't leave any left overs. I'm not really a fan of this restaurant. They do have authentic food, but it was way too spicy. Started with the appetizer Thai Jerky, which was extremely over cooked and super burnt; however, the coconut soup and Thai tea were delicious. Then we ordered 2 meals. One of them was Thai Pepper Steak which we ordered hot (not Thai hot) and the other entree was Green Curry with shrimp, which we ordered medium. The entrees were so spicy that you couldn't really taste the flavor of the food. I love spicy food, especially Thai, but this was burn your throat and stomach hot. I had to take a sip of water after every bite. Eventually my nose was running and my eyes were water because of the extreme spicyness. And I had to take Zantac later to rid the fire feeling in my stomach. I had food left over but didn't take it with me because it was just going to sit in my fridge until it went bad. I knew I wouldn't be able to bring myself to eat it again. Proceed with caution and ask for mild here. Service was good. They also had pictures of all the items on the menu.
